Perfect brisket and great sauces. Other good barbecue restaurants do their meats well but fail terribly with their sides. 4 Rivers sides are exceptional. Everything was well prepared. Fast service. Casual setting with a great view on the balcony.

We visited the 4Rivers in Jacksonville, Fla over a month ago. It was great. We decided to try the one here in Atlanta. The fried okra was hot and delicious. The only issue we had was the BBQ meats were not hot (temp wise). Not as good as Jacksonville, but hopefully will get better...

There are a lot of great BBQ places in Atlanta that I love, so when my husband insisted I try 4 Rivers Smokehouse I kinda had a "meh" attitude. This didn't take long to change. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Each time I have visited I try something different and have not been disappointed.

Stopped in at 4R on a Thursday evening for an early dinner. Chatted with the server and found out it's a Texas style joint. He gave me a tasting of the just finished brisket which was tasty so I went for it. Definitely the best brisket in Atlanta, possibly the best I have had ever. It's definitely fatty, which I love but it's not everyone's cup or tea. In term of the sides, they were all pretty solid, a little on the salty side. Only complain (and the one star deduction) was the not fully cooked cornbread, which was mushy in the mouth...

The staff was friendly when we came in. I tried the signature Angus brisket with mac and cheese and fries. They gave the cashier a wooden board full of juicy beef and he started cutting it up for my sandwich, which tasted awesome. My wife had the Texas Destroyer,m which is Angus beef with onions, jalapenos, and cheese. The signature BBQ sauce was a little plain for my taste but the hot BBQ sauce had some good kick to it. The fries were crinkled cut and came out freshly cooked. The fountain drinks only had one diet so I would have liked something besides diet coke (like coke zero). Overall, great fresh food, good atmosphere, and reasonable prices.

Very glad to have found this place just below west midtown. We will for sure return to this place and become regulars. The staff here are very friendly and made our experience enjoyable. The food was also very delicious. The only recommendation I have is keeping the food warmer somehow.

This is now my favorite BBQ spot. The wings with Buffalo / BBQ sauce are FIRE!!! The ribs are tender with smoke flavor. The side and also very good. I will be back here soon!

Really tasty BBQ in midtown. The portions are huge for the prices on offer. Also, the signature dishes are well thought out. The flavor combinations work really well, the signature hot and BBQ sauces are a must try.

The meat is the star of this place. Our brisket melted on the tongue like butter. The burnt ends were incredible as were the St. Louis Ribs and the Smoked Turkey. I loved the flavor of the Tri Tip but was a little disappointed in the cut we were served. It was hard to slice across the muscle tissue with a plastic knife. That aside, the chimichurri sauce should be bottled and sold. The sides we selected for our Pitmaster Combo were tasty and not overly greasy or dry. The service was really slow and the young girl on the counter didn't quite appear to know what she was doing. I'm hoping the service will improve. Next to B's Cracklin', 4Rivers is a fab addition to the BBQ scene in ATL.

Ordered the 2x2 with pulled pork, brisket, mac, and collards. Both meats were smokey, tender, and very juicy. Plenty of flavor in both the brisket and the pulled pork, and like someone else said they don't really need any sauce. If you do go for the sauce, they have two options: signature and hot. Try the hot....they didn't need it but I had to try them anyway! The mac was cheesy and creamy, none of the runny cheese nonsense. Collards were also just right with a nice hint of acidity. Portion sizes were perfect for the price. They definitely didn't skimp on the protein. I left with a smile on my face, and they'll definitely see me there again soon. Lots more on the menu to for me to try.

Very friendly and enthusiastic staff. Burnt ends, pulled pork, and brisket were all top notch. The Krispy Kreme bread pudding is a really fun and novel treat!

After eating at the 4Rivers in Central Florida, I was super excited to eat there this past week. It's amazing, the food is great, the people that work there even nicer. Pro Tip: the upstairs patio is surreal. I'll be back!

Delicious! I think it was called a Messy Pig, piled high with pulled pork and slaw with some jalapenos! Those beans are amazing too!! Plus some sweet potatoes and sweet tea all for $12... not bad at all. Sat up top and enjoyed the city outside under some shade. Will definitely be back soon!

My family enjoys eating here. Good food, great service and parking. Love the view from upper level. On the day pictured we had burnt ends, collards, corn, sweet potatoes and corn bread. Prices are relatively reasonable.

Finally! 4 Rivers in Atlanta! I got the brisket (lean) sandwich with 2 sides. Next time, I know to get a mixture of lean and moist. I mixed the two BBQ sauces and put it on the brisket, which was good! The mac and cheese was amazing. 4 Rivers definitely ranks in the top 5 most amazing mac and cheeses, in my opinion. The sweet potato casserole was sweet and perfect. I wasn't a fan of the chips though. The lighter, less-fried chips were better than the darker ones. My boyfriend got the brisket tacos--absolutely delicious. He put the BBQ sauce on the tacos, and that just made it even better. He got the bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers, and he thought they were really good! He also got the banana foster bread pudding, which was perfect and incredible. The staff was super friendly and helpful, even going so far as to refill our waters and throw our trays away. We love 4 Rivers and will definitely be back!

I’m from Texas which means one thing—- I grew up on BBQ. 4 Rivers BBQ is INCREDIBLE! I’ve visited 4 Rivers in Winter Park, FL and they even catered my rehearsal dinner in Winter Park. When I heard they opened in Atlanta I raced over. They did not disappoint! I had the pulled pork and sausage (so hard to find great BBQ sausage in Atlanta). Also, the service was so great - met Charles Fowler on the line and was so impressed at his knowledge about the history of the brand. So friendly and welcoming. This might be the best BBQ in Atlanta. Fan forever.

A very friendly staffed location with excellent food. The burnt ends and brisket were great as well as the baked cheese grits and corn. I recommend the mustard bbq sauce. I highly recommend.

Being a chickentarian, it is difficult to find good BBQ chicken in Atlanta. My oh my, to my surprise...this place has amazing BBQ chicken quesadillas and spectacular sides. Every bite was juicy and not at all dried out like most bbq places. Highly recommend coming here at 11am or during odd hours. The line gets long during peak hours.
