Mina and the team are the best. Friendly staff and even better menu (new updated menu). Frozen margs will start your night off right.

We hadn't been to Zocalo in years and after stopping by on this Sunday, we can't figure out why! Despite a good sized crowd, we were seated right away, server showed up almost immediately to take our drink orders, Margaritas were delicious (and strong), food was excellent - thumbs up on all counts! One caveat: if you're looking for a quiet spot to enjoy the weekend, the patio may not be for you. On the day we went, a DJ was rocking House music and Top 40 remixes - making for a high energy "dance club" vibe.

I am kind of a picky eater. I did find a couple of things on the menu I could try. I settled on the pulled beef burrito. It was amazing! The salsa was great and the service was too. We will absolutely be back.

Wonderful local spot in midtown. Perfect atmosphere, delicious twist on the Mexican cuisine, and a variety of zany drinks. Enjoy indoors or on patio overlooking the city. Must visit for locals. -$$-

Great food, fast service and STRONG drinks. Their guacamole is probably the best I’ve ever had in my life. Fresh ingredients, really affordable prices and our server Alan was so nice & accommodating. The only negative was the unnecessary “valet” parking but, that comes with the ATL territory.

I just wanted to meet a friend for a quick bite to eat and a drink. I was pleasantly surprised when both were actually fantastic. My steak quesadilla had super tender steak and cheese was perfect. One of the best I ever had. 4 stars to the service. Our server was super friendly and nice however he was quickly overwhelmed when 3 big tables came in at the same time. We were in no hurry so we just had some great conversation but after 20-25 minutes we had to wave him down. But food came out quickly and correctly and kudos to him.

The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I had 3 chicken enchiladas and asked for the sauces on the side. I don't like my Mexican food covered in sauce where I can't taste anything else. The outside seating area was funky. I been there several times since. The food had been as wonderful as the first time. The Baja Shrimp Tacos were great. The 3rd time I asked for pineapple instead of avocado. Both versions were good I can't wait to try the brunch menu, I'm sure the food will be just as good.

We came to Atlanta from Paris and desired some authentic Mexican food like we formerly enjoyed living in San Diego 5 years previously. Zocalo certainly fulfilled our desires. The chips and salsa were like we remembered and I had the steak burrito and the wife had the shrimp enchiladas. Both were very tasty with the Cadillac margaritas we enjoyed with our meals. The steak burrito came with sides of sour cream, salsa and a special sauce with just the right amount of heat in these condiments. The service was friendly, responsive and fast. We liked the outdoor patio with the pleasant temperatures. The waitress was very friendly and we recommend this place for anyone craving good Mexican cuisine. We made reservations online which is probably a good idea for weekend dining. We walked from our midtown hotel which was a pleasant walk going and returning to the hotel with bellies pleasantly full! Our bill was perhaps high with the multiple Cadillac margaritas but we were very happy with the entire dining experience.

Great spot for a night out. The heated patio was very comfortable for a November Night. The server was extremely nice. The food was good. I have the sizzling chicken fajita. Valet parking was only $5.

Stopped by this restaurant for a quick bite. The veggie quesadilla is one of the best I've ever had... unique addition of broccoli, which was welcomed. The veggie tacos, though, were a bit lackluster... the pinto beans were very bland. Cool spot to hangout, and the service was great!

Me and friend came here for dinner on a Saturday night. The complimentary valet was definitely a surprise and a bonus. We started with a pitcher of margaritas and shrimp cocktail. We both were expecting the shrimp cocktail to be served the way it was, but it was different and overwhelming sweet as well. The loaded nachos were pretty good, just had to add more salsa since it was a little dry. Overall, we had a great night and the atmosphere was a vibe.

Very charming, quality Mexican restaurant. Simple menu - which in this case is a good thing. They definitely have chosen to do a few things well, instead of having a couple dozen mediocre options. Definitely recommend both the Cadillac Margaritas and the Carnitas tacos. Especially nice is that you self-assemble the tacos. So YOU choose how to tailor the flavor profiles to your liking. Big respect for that.

This place feels like it should be on a party boat. For starters it's on the corner of Piedmont and 10th St that's rainbow (🌈 🏳️‍🌈 ) friendly. We arrived around 1pm on a Sunday so the crowd hadn't made it in yet so there was no wait time. The staff was pleasant right off and my waitress was named Claudia. We ordered margaritas and they were on point! Nice and strong 💪! We had the pescadillas for an appetizer. They came with a slaw but I felt like something else was missing. It needed more flavors. We order steak tacos with rice and refried beans. Tacos were great in texture and flavor, rice could've been a little more moist but the refried beans were delicious! I could've had beans and drinks if that's a thing, lol. We also ordered the quesadillas with shrimp added. I was a little turned off by the shrimp. Some tasted a little mushy to my liking but the flavors were there. The atmosphere is a big 10 for sure. I felt as if I booked this place with friends and family and I didn't know anyone there. The food needs a little more attention but overall it will give you the vibe you are looking for which is why I had to give 5 ⭐️. I'll be back!

Pretty good food. Had the steak tacos, but they come in taco holders. Just put them on a plate already topped, lol. Tacos aren't meant to be fancy. Your dishwashers must hate working there.

Pros: Delicious food with options for vegetarians and meat eaters, in a modern and open restaurant that to me was reminiscent of a restaurant you'd find in NYC. Cons: We got rick rolled in the restaraunt. (This is a joke. The musical stylings of Rick Astley did not detract from the experience)

Great service, food was good. I'll have to go back to try what I wanted. Limited menu the day we visited.
