Very classy, and holds its standards when it comes to hats and seating. Very relaxing in a very unrelaxing world.
Great date spot and definitely coming back. I didn't try any food, and the door fee was 15 a person which is a small price to pay for the exceptional band.
Sam (the owner) is so sweet. He helped my husband propose to me back in 2003. Sam let him use the CNN booth in the back of the main seating area. They decorated it with roses, champagne and a cheese platter. I had the best and most romantic proposal ever thanks to Sam and Churchill Grounds. We
We just went there to hear some jazz. Ended up meeting some great musicians who made us feel welcomed and at home... Played their hearts out... And the atmosphere / drinks / service was top notch. Am definitely going to revisit next time I'm in Atlanta.
I'm a sem-pro jazz musician and every time I visit Atlanta, I make it a point to come to the jazz jam sessions at Churchill. They've been doing it for years and it is one of the best I've ever been to. The players are always top-notch; you would pay many times more to hear this level of music in NYC
A wonderful cozy jazz spot. Spent alot of great nights listening to very good jazz musicians. Thursdays the "house band" will let you sing, play your instrument with them. Lots of fun - great for young jazz musicians.
Fantastic spot to enjoy REAL jazz, not R&B with a saxophone. Great drinks, yummy food, awesome people. Owner Sam is the best.
On the real, this is the real deal!
Simply the best, most authentic jazz venue in Atlanta. Period.
