Loved this place. Great staff. We closed it down, and my partner in crime wanted to walk to our hotel, several blocks away. The manager said "No" to walking at 3 am in Atlanta (wanting to ensure our protection). I struggled to get an Uber (which I'd never used, and I was a bit tipsy). She took over, and not only got us that Uber, but insisted on paying for it. I thank her for her kindness. I will return to the Midtown some day, and the tip will be very generous.

Such a good show! The drag performers on Friday are definitely talented. We were only in town for a few nights so I’m glad we found this place!!

Went tonight (Saturday) on karaoke night. Atmosphere is great and very welcoming. Drinks are on point, and the host and DJ keep the party going. The fun never stopped, even though I can't sing to save my life. I recommend everyone come and have a good time.

I had my birthday gathering there on 1/27/18 with fifty of my closest friends. We had a ball from start to finish! We caught the waitstaff off guard with so many people, however, they did a fantastic job. The food was good and the drinks were on point. The karaoke dj was great and accommodating. My friends and I will be going back.

Absolutely loved this place! My client referred me to go here, so while my family was in town for the holidays I said why not!!! Fun great vibes the music was on point better than some of the clubs I've visited here. And I'm from NY so I was very pleased lol if that helps. I know some will say what does that mean, but visit NY and you will understand. I don't know about the food I was already tipsy 😂 hookah was good

The food is good! The place is spacious and looks like a cliche bar, but in an endearing way. Last time we came here (around 6pm) we realized it had become a gay bar - they were setting up for either karaoke/ trivia.

I have only been for drag shows. Seems like there has to be a better seating layout and the sound system sucks for a place that hosts a lot of performance art events. However, the bar is fast and the stage is nice so you'll still have a great time.

The porch here is excellent during the spring/summer/fall months. The service is really friendly, and they'll bring out a water bowl for your pooch. There's a good selection of beers. I'm not quite as fond of the inside of the bar, in part because I've accidentally come here on one of their many karaoke nights. The food is a bit spotty—I'm not a big fan of the wings, which lack depth of flavor. They sometimes seem to have gourmet aspirations—for a while, they were making their own ketchup (not sure if they still are)—but don't always nail the basics. Despite some reservations about the food, though, I'm a fan of this place and am glad it's in the neighborhood.

So this place is definitely getting better than the previous management. It's taking some time however it's really starting to come into its own. They do karaoke Thursday through Saturday. Sunday brunch, and $2 taco Tuesdays. Still wish there was something that fill the void on Wednesdays like beer pong or darts or maybe even pool.

Love this place! One of the first bars I went to when I moved to Atlanta and I still frequent Midtown Tavern because the food is amazing and the beer selection is more expansive and current than most bars/restaurants in the area, and includes many local breweries. As far as the food they have generous portions and there really isn't anything on the menu that isn't delicious. They have pool tables, darts, a large bar and patio area and they're dog-friendly. Definitely a place to take friends and have a fun evening!

I've gone here for karaoke for years. They seem to be Under New Management or ownership, so it's kind of like a lounge or Club vibe. Food isn't as good as it used to be, but it's a staple in my life, so four stars!

Loved this bar. The bartenders were the nicest and most helpful I've ever have had. Great beer selection, friendly atmosphere, and a very authentic bar anesthetic. I live in Dunwoody but I'd drive back out for a beer every once and while.

Visited for a friend of a friend birthday and had a ball. While i didn't eat, the food looked and smell great. The music and drink leave nothing to complain about. Happened to be in the building with a couple sanga and they tore the house down. May be one of my new regular stops.

We had so much fun at Friday Night Karaoke! My sis celebrated her birthday. Drinks were reasonable, lemon pepper wings were so good.

I've been to Midtown Tavern twice in the past month or so. Both times were on a Friday night. The first time we came around 9:30. We parked (on the street across from the post office and adjacent to Midtown Tavern) using the Park Mobile app, and it was $8.30 for 4 hours. There was no cover for men or women and there were 4 or 5 groups of people there until around 11 when it started to fill up. On our first visit, we were greeted by a friendly security/bouncer and then a waitress who took great care of us. During the first visit, we watched and participated in karaoke and had a few drinks. I recommend the house tequila (if you are frugal) and they have a full bar and you can also order the typical drink options (i.e. Jack D and coke, tequila sunrise, long island etc.). I tried the lemon pepper wings (because the drinks made me hungry eventually) and they were delicious. As the night went on, we saw about 20 karaoke performances. We had so much fun that my friend Britt decided that she wanted to return this past weekend to celebrate her birthday. We did not pay to park this past weekend. This time we realized that parking was free in the same spot after 10:00 pm and several people were also parking on the street facing Midtown Tavern or in the lot with the post office (not quite in their lot but off to the side on the right. We tried to call to confirm if that was okay, but they did not answer. I used Yelp Tips section and encouragement from strangers and decided to park there. However, my husband kept checking on the car and moved it a few times, just to be on the safe side. We parked on the street adjacent to Midtown Tavern, then he moved over by the post office (not in the lot but off to the right), and then back to the street adjacent to Midtown Tavern because he noticed that many of the cars were gone. Do NOT park at Publix or you will get towed. We came out right before 2 AM to witness someone's car being towed. There are less parking options arriving after 10:30, so arrive earlier if you want to be on the safe side or feel more comfortable paying to park with the Park Mobile App. We were concerned about getting booted this go-round and spent an extra 30 minutes, if not longer trying to ensure everyone a safe place to park. We arrived with a group of 7 people (5 cars). Once we made it inside, there were performances going on (I mean full regalia and dramatics Prince "Purple Rain etc.). There was a birthday party wrapping up and we received no attention from the waitress. The service was more of a miss this time. The staff was not rude, but we felt invisible. We were not offered a table or offered water. It was like night and day compared to the first visit. We ended up ordering drinks from the bar and seating ourselves once the birthday party left. I decided not to order food this time, since the waitress did not come over to help. We ended up getting water eventually, because our bday girl requested it at the bar. I initially thought that this may have been because of our seat choice in the middle on the soft benches rather than the tables, but then we saw the waitress assisting the group of men with hookah and drinks in the middle section after we seated ourselves. We ended up having a better time once we started singing songs. The host and the dj were great and made the experience FUN for us. My husband even got up there and did a song lol! Overall Midtown Tavern is a great time. Arrive early for better parking and a good seat. If you are hungry try the wings! And have fun, whether you sing like Beyonce, Bruno Mars, or William Hong. It's a good vibe.
