We dined in and also ordered takeout. The service was not too great as it could be better, but the food was very delicious.
The owner is there and acknowledged us. The restaurant is very popular in Atlanta I believe. However, it has the potential to become a great restaurant capable of representing the Nigerian and West African Cuisine.
Enjoyed my egussi soup! It was delicious!! Although the owner was extremely rude to his waitress! Screaming at her in front of his customers telling her to go home, leaving him to be the only server.
You need to be here right now, the pounded yam and the egusi soup was so delicious, I feel like eating it forever as per Ekiti babe for Atlanta now…. Everything was so organized😍😍😀😀😃😄😁💓💗💓
Not only was the food delicious but the service was just as great. The staff worked well together to see that we were properly accommodated and well taken care of.
The restaurant provides plenty of space for social distancing, which was nice for dining in. The owner also stopped by our table to make sure everything was just so, chatting a bit helped to personalize the experience.
The layout made for a nice restaurant with the option for an evening lounge.
We had our fill of fish & plantains...with leftovers to enjoy it again at home.
I would absolutely visit again.
The food I ate at the restaurant kept me on a happy mood for a long time and my friends got tired of me hyping the experience.
Food was really delicious and affordable. I ate the pounded yam and egusi soup as well as the amala and gbegiri with ewedu (my friend and I ordered different meals and ate each halfway and exchanged just so we could taste both). I was surprised when the meals came with 3 pieces of meat (one beef, tripe and cow leg). I struggled to finish it up. Considering that African food ingredients are rare commodities, I expected that the soup would be too little and rationed, it was in fact abundant.
The environment is neat, staff were orderly and welcoming and the owner was quite nice.
The highlight was the gallery at the entrance. If given the opportunity, I’d visit over and over again and taste everything on the menu. Great place!
The food is phenomenal and the staff are really friendly. If you are looking for authentic African food, this will satisfy your tastebuds. My favorite meals to get are efo riro and egusi. Again, phenomenal & chef’s kiss!
I was in the area and was craving some fufu and egusi soup. Buka 2 had the best reviews in the area so I decided to try. I walked in and the vibes were amazing. The staff was absolutely friendly and fast! I live 30 mins away. I got my fufu and egusi (with chicken) and drove home. Once I got home my food was still completely hot and ready to eat! The flavors were amazing! I will be back and that’s a fact
What I really wanted was Amala with Ewedu + Gbegiri, but it wasn’t ready yet, so I opted for Pounded yam and Ẹ̀fọ́ rírò.
The food arrived with a rich aroma of Iru, the vegetables were nicely cooked and the meat… Assorted — huge chunks of cowleg, beef and Ṣhaki (tripe).
Nice meal.
I’ll be sure to return next time I’m in Atlanta.
For my first time eating fufu, egusi and go. This meal set a high standard, especially with the extremely warm and welcoming Shae as a server. Will definitely be returning. Must try if you in the area, you won’t regret it!
I had just gave birth and the first thing I wanted was some yummy croaker fish with jallof rice. My sons Glamma made it happen and bring it back to the hospital 😂 my food was so fresh and yummy i was forever grateful and will continue to be grateful for Buka2 providing amazing service & delicious food. Thank you to the beautiful angel that blessed us that day that works there. Wishing nothing but success and blessing to this entire establishment.
This was my first time having egusi and fufu but to the help of buka 2 it won't be the last !! The food was amazing and very flavorful!! Exceptional customer service and food came very fast 10000/10 would definitely recommend!!
Omg this is the best African food I’ve had so far. Full of flavor cooked just right. This egusi soup sooo mf good you hear me. Fi 🔥
I recommend this place to anyone looking for African food, especially Nigerians 👌. It is a top-notch place for yummy Nigerian food.
