The best staff, owner, and seafood in the Jacksonville Area! My family is Navy and every time my husband has to come to Jacksonville we come along and have dinner here. The food is SOOOOOO fresh! If you do have to wait, just wait it’s worth it!!! Noel is the best!
We had a big selection of food. I had a cup of oyster stew and the oyster were so big I had to cut them in half to eat the stew. Red snapper and oyster were delicious and so much we had to bring some home. Service was wonderful. It was very busy but our server made sure we wanted for nothing. Of course we left more than a 20% tip for her.
I took my family here laat night we had over 30 ppl in our party n we had the best service n the food was so good. My Family was so impressed until they said every time they come in town they will be visiting seafood kitchen..
Best seafood I have had in ages. Friendly service, our waitress Melody was the best. We will tell all our friends to visit!! Love this place.
The broiled Seafood Combo Platter was sooo good and the staff was really friendly. Finally I found a great little seafood spot!
When you pull up to a place to eat not on the main highway and it is packed out with locals you know there is something special. This was the best seafood I have ever eaten.
Great experience Taylor our waitress was excellent, we never waited for anything and she really seemed to enjoy taking care of us. The catch of the day, shrimp and crab legs were perfect!
The BEST seafood in town. I love the low country boil it’s not greasy and smothered in butter like other places. The cole slaw is so good, great sweet tea & you must try the peanut butter pie. All around amazing.
Stopped in here based on reviews that I read. We had a large party of 11 people. Waited about an hour and 10 minutes until we were seated. Not to big of a problem, because I figured about an hour wait before we arrived, thanks to a call ahead of time to the restaurant. There is no reservations here, she first come, first serve. For our apps, we got the calamari, fried gator tail, raw oysters and mini blue crab bites. Oysters were good, crab bites were extremely good, gator tail was just ok and the calamari was not a hit. On to the main dishes. Crab Stew, baked stuffed Grouper with Scallops, steak, shrimp tacos, etc. The crab Stew was absolutely delicious and packed full of crab meat. The stuffed Grouper was very good, as well as the seafood stuffing it came with. The scallops were a complete miss. We got them broiled and they were way overcooked, shriveled up and a bit chewy. The shrimp tacos were very good. Also had a fried flounder dish at the table and it was cooked well and tasted great. The steak was a miss as well, but I told my wife not to order steak from a seafood restaurant anyhow, so not points taken for that. Overall,it was a pleasant experience and the food was good. We will definitely go back. Our waitress (Brooke) was on point, attentive and pleasant to talk to. Very helpful. Give this place a try!
I live in Kentucky so fresh seafood is a must when vacationing in Florida. I have been to 2 other seafood restaurants and left mildly satisfied. This place came up on Google search, so we tried it. The Swordfish was the best fish I've had, better than what I tried in Plymouth Rock from a fresh caught place. The lobster boil platter was incredible, not sure what the shrimp was cooked it but I believe I did shed a tear. The misses got the steak and shrimp, her steak beats anything from a chain steakhouse (Texas and outback). I'm trying to decide when to visit again just to eat here. Service was on point and super friendly.
So so good! The trigger fish with fromage is my new favorite dish!!! Blue crab bites were also amazing. Can't go wrong with this place.
The scallops were so good!!! Hubby had oysters and he really loved those. Fries were not frozen crinkle fries but fresh cut potatoes. Hush puppies were great too!!!
I love living here so I can get delicious fresh local seafood without going to chains. Today, it was worth driving 45 min from the westside to mayport to get my favorite crab stew in Jacksonville. Prove me wrong. There is chunks of crab in every bite I take, which is why I order the bowl vs cup. No joke, I've ordered this dozens of times, one time I simply had 2 bowls as my entree. It is packed with crab every time. Think of really good clam chowder, but with lots of crab added to it. I also had the daily special of triggerfish which was lightly fried and perfectly flaky. Ask for the pink sauce which is made in house, and no, it's not a remoulade. I prefer it vs tartar for all. Crisp crinkle fries and Debbie my attentive serve made a perfect late Friday lunch.
