My husband and I are breakfast people and we love trying new diners and cafes. This is by far our favorite experience!! The food was absolutely phenomenal and the prices were fair. We were told by a coworker that we needed to try this place out so we went and while we were waiting for a table some of the locals waiting with us mentioned that we had to try the lemon yogurt pancakes because it's what they are known for. We took their advice, ordering our own meals and two of the lemon pancakes to share (you can get an order or 1, 2 or 3). They were not wrong, they tasted just like a lemon cake and were moist and sweet. We never would have ordered these without the input and I'm so glad we did. As for our other meals I got the volcano (potatoes smothered in salsa sour cream cheese and avocado) and the small portion was enough to feed like 3 people and was so delicious! My husband got the chipotle chicken omelette which was another meal choice recommend by a local and that was incredibly delicious as well and came with a lot of food (potatoes and biscuits and gravy!) We came from fair oaks so it was a bit of a drive but COMPLETELY worth it!!! We will be back many times!!! It is cash or check only so do keep that in mind if you do decide to try it (they have an ATM inside if you forget).

Best place ever for breakfast/brunch! Chicken Avocado Eggs Benedict (weekend only). Lemon Yogurt pancakes to die for...so much so that I order 3 orders to go every time so I can bring home and freeze individually for later enjoyment!! Be prepared to wait. Ginormous plate of food. Worth every minute and every bite. Remember...cash only!

I love Katrina's Cafe. Well worth the drive from Sacramento to have a fabulous breakfast. Every item I have tried is fantastic. It's a busy place so bring someone that you enjoy sharing a little conversation with prior to eating. All the staff is friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this cafe.

Seriously the BEST place for breakfast in Auburn (and that is saying something because we have some good places to eat). The pesto turkey omlette is amazing!! The only downside to this place is the size. I cant come on a weekend morning with my family without having to wait for a long time. It is packed!! So get there early and bring cash or check, because they dont take credit. I wish they would expand to a bigger building, but it has been this way for a loooong time, so Im guessing there are no plans to change. Definately a must eat place for breakfast though!

The past 3 Saturdays we have been in Auburn and noticed a small little Cafe called Katrina's that always seemed to be over flowing with people. Well, we decided to stop in and give it a try. So glad we did. Breakfast was AMAZING! The portions are huge for the price, so you definitely get you money's worth. We did have quite the wait, but not because they are slow, but because so many people know how great this little place is (and it was too cold for me to sit outside so we waited a bit more for indoor table) I personally don't mind waiting to sit at a restaurant, if it's for good food. Definitely worth the wait!

Was there only once but I remember how good their breakfast was. So when I suggested to my friends to go there before we visited Ananda Village, Hermitage Gardens, everyone was happy. Again, not disappointed in my selection; zucchini, bacon, cheese omelette, no potatoes for me and selected fresh fruits. Plenty of food and eggs very fluffy. I won't wait a long time to go back there again. The only complaint is only one restroom.

This is one of our most favorite places in Auburn. Fantastic food and great service. You have to try the ham and broccoli quiche, the Tuscan scramble and we never forget the amazingly delicious lemon pancakes!

Katrina's is such a cozy family-oriented breakfast place, serving THE MOST AWESOME lemon yogurt pancakes with whipped cream and fruits. It was my first time to eat at Katrina's, after my daughter recommended it. It is NOW my most favorite breakfast place, then Tower Cafe and Crepeville. The service is warm and friendly, and efficient. I will definitely go back next Saturday. I will crave for their lemon yogurt pancakes for the next few days. They also have a lot of variety and will try them too.

If you're in the vicinity and searching for a pleasant breakfast spot, make sure to stop in for a bite. It's a charming little place with a country-like feel. Sitting indoors or outdoors is up to you. The portions are both plentiful and delicious. With the breakfast items, you can choose potatoes or fruit or you can choose both, (now that's awesome). When I don't forget to ask, I usually want my fruit on side plate just to keep it separate from the hot stuff. All the staff members were excellent in checking on us and keeping our coffee cups full. In passing, I saw a fruit bowl-like thingy that looks awesome. I may have to try that again in the future. If you're reading this and have an order to try it, please share your thoughts with me. Katrina's Cafe is definitely a positive experience for me. Thanks for reading and follow me for other great places.

This is the best breakfast i’ve had in a while! The chipotle omelet was super good, the creamcheese is something i havent had before in an omelet but it tasted great. The biscuits and gravy were really good too. They werent the most savory, slightly sweet, but that way they didnt seem too heavy. We also got a burger which was also on point. Last i got some marmalade and raspberry jam for my toast. I was expecting smuckers packages but instead they brought out jam in glass jars which im suspecting is made from scratch. They were both delciious. The staff is also super friendly, they were really busy but there was more room than i thought inside and out. Def plan to go back some day!

Finally, I can go out and eat breakfast again!! Having celiac and egg intolerance, I gave up on enjoying breakfast out with my hubby (one of our favorite things). That is until I discovered all the options at Katrina's. Gluten Free homemade lemon, blueberry, white chocolate muffins (omg to die for!), GF toast, real potatoes (not hash browns that often include gluten) and even tofu instead of egg in any scramble. The tofu in substitute for eggs is seamless and you won't miss the egg at all. Restaurant was clean and bright. Service was fantastic, A+!! Can't wait to try them for lunch sometime.

Took my 10 year old out for a mother and daughter breakfast without her siblings. I was told this was a good small local place and had to try it out. Everything was good. Food, service, portion size. EVERYTHING! They even have take out. She had french toast and I had the biggest egg whites omelet I have ever had. The strawberry jam had actual strawberries. We both tapped out and took the rest home. We beat the rush but my daughter and I agreed we had to bring the rest of the family back. There are so many menu options and specials we want to try.

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots. Halfway between where I live now and where I grew up, so a lot of memories here. The food is very good, and a special we always order beyond fairly standard egg combos are the lemon yogurt pancakes. Definitely worth the trip! Rolled up like crepes, doused with syrup, moist enough to eat as-is. I also recommend the corned beef hash, my guage of quality for all breakfast joints. If the pancakes deserve an A±, the hash gets a B+. Closed Monday and Tuesday, open only for breakfast and lunch. Do not go on weekends unless ready to wait.

We have been to Katrina's about three times now. The lemon pancakes are what brings us back...they are amazing, however, the other breakfast items we had were not. I had a tofu scramble that had uncooked eggs and undercooked potatoes. The plate was saturated with water from the tofu and eggs. This happens once in a while and wouldn't have been such a big deal had the female manager, should have gotten her name, handles it better. She is extremely rude and did not even apologize. We have had her as a server the last couple of times and her personality stinks. Not a good place to be working if your customer service skills are under par at best. There was one other waitress / cashier that has a horrible attitude as well. When you pay their overpriced prices you expect a little more than this. We will never go back again.

Great little place to stop by if you're in Auburn. They make their own corned beef hash in house and their Bloody Mary's are delicious. The Shrimp omelette was amazing!! Excellent service from great staff. Making this a new go-to whenever we're in town.

The fourth time here & the staff are always friendly. Had the eggs Benedict special with sausage patty, over easy eggs, and country gravy on biscuits. Delicious & filling. Mrs. had eggs over medium, country potatoes, all good.

They’re busy so expect delays.. but greatness takes time. Everything on the brunch menu is absolutely spot on. The flavor profiles are distinct and execution is perfect. What we ordered- Lemon Yogurt Pancakes with Raspberry Jam- sweet fluffy without being overbearing Chorizo Benedict- spicy and wholesome with a balance of herbs Biscuits and gravy- ridiculous Eggs- perfect texture Honorable mention- Arelene was super sweet

Always love meals at Katrina's. The staff is amazing, the food is great and delicious. The menu is robust and the specials are fantastic. Katrina's is a hidden gem , it's packed with locals and it can be busy at time, but it's worth the wait. If you ever see cake in the cake plate... try a slice.. it's the best carrot cake. This review says it all. We go every Sunday and it's always satisfying, from the food to the staff. We sat outside for lunch for the first time and it was great as well. Katrina's is the best around for miles.
