We stopped at Edgar's impromptu for brunch while in town and were blown away by the Sunday brunch. There's real thoughtfulness in the menu choices, everything was well seasoned, and the customer service was great. I had the breakfast burger and I swapped the patty for the fried chicken crucial, the shrimp and grits were amazing and I say that as a native of Charleston, SC. I'll eat here again and again.
Edgar's changes their menu frequently so don't fall in love with a particular dish because it might not be available again, and if it is the preparation isn't consistent so it may taste different. There are some great selections for a decent price at lunchtime so i like to try something new every time I go so I can focus on the experience. I am a fan of the work Edgars is doing for our community!
Edgars is interesting in that it is some sort of training ground for chefs and staff. I don't think I have had a consistent meal the three times I have been there. All though food was good something always amiss with one item. Pricey to gamble on.
We've been to Edgar's multiple times and every visit has been very positive. The food is always fantastic, drinks are interesting and tasty, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgable. We're always excited to return to see what new items are on the menu!
What a surprise!. What a great night we had. The hostess was really nice & when she heard it was our first time there told us all about how this is Goodwill's first restaurant like this. It is so urban. Couldn't believe we were still in Augusta. Food was great, from appetizer to desserts, drinks too. No problem with service at all. We will definitely be going again!
Excellent. I have been looking for that "special" place to bring friends when they visit and I have definitely found it here. We love all of the seasonal options. Everything we had was excellent and our server was wonderful. My fall sangria was so yummy and the pumpkin bread pudding left me completely satisfied. We ordered one drink each, an appetizer, 2 entrees, and dessert for under $60. I can't wait to go back for the Christmas season!!
Sunday Brunch. We held an after wedding brunch for 40 out of town guests at Edgars Grill. It was excellent; the food was delicious, service was awesome and atmosphere first class. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the event. Our hats off to Jason for coordinating his staff and chefs to create a perfect end to our wedding weekend!
Great food, portions are ample and service was attentive. Cocktails are amazing - great beer selections.
Pleasant surprise. The staff and ambience of this restaurant was so appealing to all the senses. The drinks and menu were diverse. The steak was cooked perfectly. The bread pudding could have been more substantial, but overall it was a delightful experience. Will go back!
Nice Addition. This is a welcomed addition to Augusta's restaurant scene. Not an extensive menu but there are a few unique choices (I had rabbit loin tenders). The food and accompaniments were mostly flavorful. Will try for brunch. Note: portions are closer to adequate vs. the mountains of food you get at other places.
Great looking place. Had great lunch.
Service was good. Will try again for dinner
Not bad. Don't go there is you are incredibly hungry. My wife and I visited on a whim and discovered this restaurant to be a bit fancier than what we were expecting. That being said, the service was fantastic, especially Evan. He was friendly and engaging; and even though we were his only customers sitting in the outside dining area, he checked on us regularly.
The BBQ Pig Wings were delicious, although very small portioned. Our favorite item was the chicken, sun-dried tomato, and goat cheese pizza. It was delicious.
I'd recommend Edgar's to anyone who just wants to enjoy an upscale atmosphere and is not very hungry. The outdoor area is the perfect place to hang out with several friends.
First visit.. The food is well executed and interesting, but service needs some work on all levels. Management can be seen standing around on their cell phones, hosts do not provide the beverage menu when you are seated, and wine service has not been taught (at least not well.) The servers are friendly, but need training.
I will go back, but maybe just sit at the bar.
Good New Place in West Augusta. Part of the Goodwill complex on Washington Road. Metropolitan style.... Different menu, modern dining room, noisy, but very good food and experience. Will go back.
Good food in a beautiful setting. The wine list (always a concern for me) was diverse in price and selection. We split the smoked mussels appetizer. I'd go back for that if they had nothing else.
The soups are nothing to write home about. The corn chowder was okay, and while I expected the chicken and dumpling consomme to have a clear base I also expected to have some chicken and dumplings in it. I was disappointed. I whined and they took it back and off my bill. Can't complain about that.
The main course, the filet, made up for any short coming of the soup. The meat was tender and well prepared. The potato gratin was delicious, and the asparagus was properly cooked and seasoned.
The red velvet soufflé with the sweet and sour crème topping that we shared for dessert was a cake and not a soufflé, but it was a good cake.
The service was very good, and they give you a report card at the end that you can use to rate your dining experience.
It was an enjoyable evening.

Best salmon ever!. Had the amazing bourbon glazed salmon - came with sauteed collard greens and a corn pon cake. So good - hands down the best salmon I have ever eaten. Perfectly - perfectly - cooked.
Terrific butter greens salad with lemon truffle dressing - yum. Shared a chocolate pave and a buttermilk panna cotta - both were delicious.
Excellent service and treatment from beginning to end. I didn't catch the name of our greeter but she was so cute, petite beautiful lady that welcomed us and was the first to wish us a happy anniversary. Amanda our server, top notch! Food was delish, presentation, taste savory 5💫 place. Thank you! For making our evening a great one.

The food was amazing. One of the best filet mignon I have had in a while at a restaurant. They almost had my husband beat 😁 (he is an undercover chef).
My daughter let me sample her shrimp and grits and it was fantastic.
We will definitely be back.
Love eating here for a fancy meal. Food taste really good and awesome presentation, prepared well. Reasonable price. Friendly ,attentive and well trained staff. Highly recommended.
We barely had any photos to share, most of the time was spent trying to gracefully stuff our collective gobs with delicious food. Honest to goodness only poor choices where the biscuits where a bit dry and the cake had like been cut then left out in fridge because it had dry "skin" on the top layer of custard. But remove that and it tasted amazing. Hands down some of the best grits I have ever eaten in my life, even the hubbs a homegrown southern Alabama boy loved them. The omlets theyvtake the order there at table, you walk and make a plate at the buffet and when you return a pretty plate of eggy goodness was waiting for us. Bacon was crisp and salty, gravy was peppered and again the grits I could slap grandmama. Ten of ten recommend and will most definitely return.
Nice restaurant, nice atmosphere, staff was cortious. We were there for Sunday Brunch, which is a buffet, not à la carte, menu, though, you can customize you omelettes, the server gave us a small menu that have the choices like regular or white omelette and items to go with, the omelette was great. The buffet items were good, from salads, a cheese table, hot items like scramble eggs, French Toast, biscuits, sausage, bacon, salmon, fried chicken, among other things, they also have a desert table, multiple choices.
Our server was Dom, who took good care of us, he is very nice.
The reason for the 4🌟s is because the actual buffet is next to restaurant in a banquet room, which is fine but it takes away the ambience of the restaurant, it feels like an event that have Brunch.
First time here, Nice setting Service and the staff wonderful. I will return only reason I did not give a 5 star, they did not have the Lemon Herb Marinated Chicken really wanted to try, the Cheshire Pork Porterhouse Chop was great.
We had a great time celebrating my birthday! Delicious drinks/food. Friendly service! I definitely would recommend this place!
First time here, great service, great atmosphere. Food choices were delicious. Good portions, perfectly seasoned. We will definitely go back.
