The waiter made us feel comfortable. She was attentive and the food was good. The café con leche was stronger compared to another café con leche I have tried at two other Cuban restaurants in Dallas, Tx. One being in Casa Linda over Bucker Blvd. Garland Rd. I still give them five stars because that might be their own version. Besides, it doesn't mean it was bad, just different since it had more coffee than milk.
This place have an inside and outside option. We chose the outside and it was very relaxing. It looks like you are in a farm outside. I recommend this place.
This place was amazing. They had everything I could ever want. My mom is 100% Cuban and I love her food. So I'm very picky when it comes to Cuban food. This place surpassed all my expectations. I also used to live in Miami. The sole thing I miss about that place is the food. Again, this place brought me back. Waitress was awesome as well. So coming back when I get the chance.
I absolutly LOVE this place. It's a must visit everytime I visit Austin. If I don't stay to eat, I order food to bring home with me. I strongly recommend the pork chops! As a New Yorican... I'm reminded of home when I eat here. I love this place!

I love love love this place and the food! Well I say “this place”, but I eat outside each time I go so I feel like I’m away eating Cuban food and relaxing to the music while enjoying delicious eats... 💓
Every time I get to Austin I have to come back here. Delicious Lechon asado with black beans and arroz con gandules. I have it every time. Love this place. Reminds me of my childhood.
Absolute best Cuban food ever!! The pork empanadas, mojitos and the Comandante is to die for!!! Love this place!
Amazing food! It is a hidden gem! The lechon asado with arroz con gandules was amazing! Very well seasoned! Great atmosphere! Felt right at home! Would definitely visit again!

Enjoy coming here because we always receive the best service! Plantain nachos were incredible! That was a first for me! Your rum drinks are delicious!
Excellent food and service were the best Love the Athenticity city of the restaurant and atmosphere
Well worth it! The Cuban sandwich was great! The staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be going back!
Great experience! Our server was friendly and attentive! I am a flight attentant and have had mojitoes all over the world (not cuba yet) and these were some of my favorite!
We are new to Austin and new to Texas. The Habana was one of our first restaurants to try and we fell in love instantaneously. We arrived early this Saturday night and were seated in one of the gazebos outside. We enjoyed the excellent service and were taken away by the food. Sooo good! For starters we had the veggie Mofongo and the Cuban Tamale. Both very tasty and authentic. Our entrees were the seafood paella and the veggie Salteado. Both were excellent! We loved the tasty rice of the paella. Dessert was a Cuban flan. Yum! We will be back.
it is my favorite place I loved. it is an authentic cuban food, a pretty good services I go every Saturday night
thank you very much guys
High marks - interesting menu, great service, wonderful flavor and it takes u to Cuba and rum abroad, so do not hesitate to enjoy the wonders of Cuba right in your back yard soon. Hail Habana from Havana!

This place is great! We take our car next door for work at green earth automotive and have always wanted to stop in and try some lunch while waiting. Very very glad we did. The drinks were very good also! Had the lechon asado and nachos.
Excellent! The food is authentic. I highly recommend the sandwich Cubano. The drinks are wonderful. The plantain coco is awesome! A cafe con leche after dinner and Cuban flan. Couldn't have asked for better service. The atmosphere is awesome. I felt like I was back home in Miami.
One Word...AMAZING!!! Drinks...Great! Appetizers...Great! Any Entree...Great! Tres Leches...GREAT!!!! Staff...Great!!!
We went to the SoCo location. Paella was delicious, service was excellent, mojito was great.
Went for the 2nd time last night and it's still amazing! The time was a few months ago and I had the lechon asado and mofongo, both were very good. This time I had mofongo and paella (only served 1 or 2 days a week) and it was sooo good! Little bit pricey for the paella, but worth it. Service was great as well. Keep it up Habana!
WoW!. Great food, although it's pricey. We had a groupon and, not counting what we already spent, still came out with a bill that would have been full price for a meal anywhere else. It's not budget dining, but if you can stomach the cost, you will be in for a treat.
My husband had the lechon asado (tender pork shoulder - seasoned, but no sauce) with yucca frita (if you've never had it, it tastes kind of like a potato). I had the ropa vieja (shredded beef with seasoning in a tomato based marinade) with maduros (fried bananas), arroz con gandules (yellow rice with a type of pea or bean), and the platano daiquiri. Our son had the beef empanada with black beans. Everything was excellent, and the service and ambiance were good. I highly recommend the ropa vieja, with maybe the empanada as an appetizer. The tender, seasoned beef was definitely the most flavorful dish and was well complimented by the maduros.
Awesome! Nothing more to say. Ok 1 more thing pork. Get it. And the habana lager on draft. That's 2 more. Dont judge me. Ok judge me but I really won't care.
Not bad, but a bit pricey. If you want some non-mexican latin food, try rio's on the east side on pleasant valley. the food was better and cheaper...
Great Cuban food. This place has great Cuban food. The puerto rican rice is really delicious and the Ropa Vieja is amazing. I would recommend to call ahead with reservations. Also it is very dim lit and noisy though. I paid $13.50 for the Ropa Veija and my date had the Seafood Paella for one for $19.95.
Great and wonderfully traditional Cuban food! The ropa de vieja sandwich was amazing, and the flan was the best I've had since coming to Austin eight years ago. I recommend Habana SoCo to anyone who loves a good traditional Cuban meal.
Its okay. The food is ok but remember when it used to be the Boriquen the prices were half of what is now. So over priced for a small portion of rice and beans . It is obvious that they keep they recipes from the old spot but they did remodeled the space beautifully, I guess they have to pay for it somehow.
Cuban nachos are a nice combination of pork, plantains, black beans and jalopenos. On the patio on a beautiful day, life is good.
Overall good!. The portions were really big and I thought the food was good. We were there early on a slow night so we may have missed out on some of the charm. Also, we were unable to sit outside though it was nice outside...
Good traditional puerto rican /Cuban food. This place was pretty good. I have had better but this place had a few additional items that were interesting. The rice was a little stale but the sandwiches are good. My biggest grip is the price. Not abvery good value for the amount and quality.
Great food and surprisingly good place to watch sports!. The food is top notch and drinks are superb. They have a great list of infused drinks. The meal was really wonderful. The atmosphere is a bit weird as the televisions really take away from the Cuban ambiance. However, if you want great food and a great place to watch the game, you're in luck!
Viva Habana! Viva Cuban food!. Like any good Austinite, I love Tex-Mex. But like any good American, I crave variety. Cuban food combines the exotic with the familiar, and Habana does it beautifully. Try the Cuban sandwich (of course) or better yet the platano loco -- like the Cuban but with fried plantain in place of the bread. Phenomenal. Also recommended: lechon asado, the pork chops, the fish sandwich, and the paella on weekends. Mojito = great. Habanatini = greater.
Yummm!! Altho beware their Cuban bread, is not really Cuban bread. It's jus French. But still gooood stuff.
Excellent sat on patio and enjoyed a great meal very good drinks and a pretty good cigar. Would recommend to anyone who wants to have a enjoyable dinner without feeling rushed we were there for 3hours
For a Cuban place not to play Cuban music? What?
We weren't sure when we first drove up cuz it was dark, but it turned out to be awesome! From the décor to dessert we give it thumbs up! Large portions, not too spicy but sooo flavorful, very relaxing atmosphere and very helpful waiter.Easy to find off the map, less than 10 min from I35~ I wished I didn't live so far away!
Cool spot in soco. I'd come here again.
The tres leches cake was on the dry side (tres leches should be very, very moist) and was covered in cinnamon. Not the best but not terrible either.
Best Cuban restaurant in Austin!
Great for a quick drop in for a drink. Mocktails are great, the cocktails are even better!
Perfectly situated on Congress complete with all encompassing cabana feel in Havana. Cigars present at the front, we’ll behaved dogs welcome in the back!
The Cuban is amazing. Sized for two small meals or one huge one.
The staff is so present and friendly. The small plates are priced $6-$9 and make perfect for a quick on the go bite.
Vino says, “thanks for the water!”
Nice surprise in S Austin. I had heard of Habana as a venue and, for some reason thought it was more Tex-Mexy than Cuban. I was wrong. This is a legit Cuban cuisine and delicioso. There is an influence of T-M in the Croquetas and Guacamole with plantains. So 👍🏽. We were all happy with our meals. Service was impressive. Will return.
we were in the neighborhood and stopped in for lunch and so glad we did! i haven’t had a cuban sandwich this good since i was in miami. i enjoyed every bite, with its pillowy bread, juicy meat, and crisp bite of the pickles. i definitely want to come back for more of their delicious looking dishes!
This little hole in the wall restaurant may not look like much on the outside, but the food and drinks are amazing. We attempted to order way more food than 2 people could eat, and they tried to talk us out of it. They didn't try to make us spend a ton of money, though we did because we wanted to try a little of everything. The servers are all friendly, based on the ones I interacted with, and the different sauces paired well with the different meats and sides. I recommend trying a little of everything when you come. I will definitely be making the hour and 20 minute drive again for this amazing restaurant.

Everything was fantastic ! I ordered the fricase de pollo and it was SO good and plentiful. The chicken cooked to perfection and juicy. It was delivered on a platter with this delicious sauce that covered the plate. Potatoes, yellow rice and black beans as well. I’m about to go heat up my leftovers now!
Can’t wait to go back!
Such a quaint, cozy and charming taste of Cuba on South Congress. Excellent selection of rum drinks and great happy hour. Food hit the spot. Enjoyed the sandwich de pescado (tilapia), the shrimp platter and of course tostones. Delectable sauces.
Wow. The seafood was crazy awesome. Drinks are delicious. The tres leches is Devine. Service was the best. Give this place a try.
It was my first time trying cuban food, and I wasn’t disappointed. I got the cuban sloppy joe,and it was very juicy, flavor, and filling. I couldn’t finish the entire sandwich that I had to take it home and reheat it the next day, and it was still great.
They have the best drinks here. The mojito, Comandante, and Habanatini are worth checking out. They make them perfectly each time.
The fried snapper, red beans, congris, maduros, and ceviche (not pictured) are my favorites! And gotta have tres leches and espresso for dessert!
Menu is smaller than before, portions are smaller as well. Ended up getting served by bartender (who was great, but we had to track him down when we got there). Food was excellent.
