Their ramen is very tasty, soup is full of flavors but not salty, and their noodle is cooked to the perfect softness. The restaurant is fairly small, so might need to wait in line when it's busy. Ordered their karage as well, it's a little too crispy outside, but the chicken is very juicy. PS. 5:30p
Delicious 😋 noodles 🍜 for a great price. Thoroughly impressed with the food 🥘 here. They sell beer 🍺! It’s a small intimate place! The servers were nice 👍🏻. I’m glad the other options nearby happened to be close! My favorite spot to eat near the dirty 6th! Too bad the close before the street party d
Really enjoyed this spot! I didn’t tell my husband that the broths were all chicken based here (except for the vegan one), because as a traditional
pork broth person, I thought he wouldn’t agree to come. We sat at the bar and I had the Shoyu while he had the Shio. We both agreed that we liked min
Delicious yummy ramen. If you really enjoy this dish you must go to Daruma and eat them, you will not be disappointed. It's a very tiny local so try to arrive early and add yourself on the waiting list. The staff is very friendly
Our first time here and all We have to say is Amazing! From the Tatuta-age to the Miso and the Onigiri to the Age-shumai. The broth was absolutely superb exceptionally tasty. It did not disappoint if ever you're in the Austin downtown area it's a definitely a must stop most definitely worth the dri
It's family style seating, so expect to be elbow to elbow with others.
I expected the miso ramen to be salty (given the noodles were eggless and the broth wasn't pork based), but it was so light and the broth was so full of vegetable flavor that it was delicious.
I try to stay away from 6th Street
The Ramen here is sooo good the soup base is probably one of the best I've ever had! Love that there's shredded chicken with it and made the meal less heavy. Our appetizer was a little too salty. Aside from that, we had a fantastic experience!
This was my original review for this place. “This place was really good. The place was cozy. The drinks and food were served promptly. Will definitely come back again.”
This is the best ramen ever! It’s so sad to see you closed down due to COVID, but you have a very valid and strong decision to do
First time going there during RTX at the convention center. Me and my friends came in and place our name for the wait. It took about 10-15 minutes so not long at all. Place smelled great. I ordered the Shio and it was wonderful. Dont remember what my friends ordered but they really enjoyed there's.
One of my favorite places in town. Before I moved to Austin I would always make sure to eat here every time I was visiting. Now that I live in town I try to eat here at least once every other week. Also they always have the oddest and delicious flavors of soft serve. Keep up the great work guys!
No complaints. Great value. Friendly staff. Laid back environment. I got the Shio Ramen. The broth was so yummy. I asked for some kick and it was very...kicky. 😁 I also got the Shumai, dumplings with shrimp and pork. They had onions in them so I didn’t like but they were nice about my pickiness. I r
Cozy little ramen place to grab a bite while exploring 6th Street. They have a nice little selection of ramen bowls as well as some appetizers. Food was delicious service was okay and the price was right. I will say that if you have a giant group this place is pretty small and may not fit all of you
Really great ramen here. Not a huge selection, but the staff were friendly and helped my wife and I pick something out. It was delicious and I left full and happy. Also, whoever picked the soundtrack the night we were in is amazing, because it was intense. I picked up, like, three bands just sitting
I got the shiyo ramen. It’s too salty for my taste but the noodle itself is heaven. It’s chewy, al dente and filling. It’s def worth the price tag not to mention this place is super cute. Good music as well.
Very simple menu which means it’s not overwhelming to pick something to order! The guys here were so great.
I finally had a chance to stop in back in January. The last time I was in Texas, it was still too early so they weren’t opened yet. I’m so glad I had a chance to.
We were passing through Austin and had a craving for a snack so had to stop for the best "ume onigiri" in town! We tried calling in a "to go" order but was told we had to order when we got to Daruma. There was an empty parking spot right in front of the door so it was meant to be! We got 3 orders to
We rolled in 9 deep, and quickly realized that this was not a place for large parties. That said, the food is pretty good. There are only about 6 different choices for ramen, but they're all solid. I recommend the fried chicken thighs and the shio Ramen with chili paste
Really unique atmosphere and good ramen! Service was prompt and friendly! We tried the miso and shoyu ramen. Miso had a tastier broth, but both were good!
