I've eaten here many times. My favorite is the trout. It never disappoints. Steaks are awesome too. Service is excellent. Even when really busy, food always comes out hot and fresh. Chef Cody's standards are high and this conveys to the staff and food. Love the Mexican martinis. Margaritas have a little too much mix for my taste, but the Sangria is the best I've ever had! Love the variety of food as well. Also love that Cody is always willing to step outside of the box and offer a "mixed grill" or something else that he thinks that you might like. And the blueberry bread pudding is to die for!!

The food is fantastic with a Texas twist, the atmosphere is prefect, and the staff is friendly. The drinks are great as well, and not to mention the occasional music events held in the backyard. Great family atmosphere and perfect for a romantic night out. Highly recommend this hidden treasure!

I had Verde's Cater my wedding in January and they were amazing! The food was so incredibly tasty and all of my guests still comment on how wonderful the food was.. They are also just very professional and they have a great staff there to take of everything, they really do make sure your event runs smooth and that the client and guests are happy throughout the whole night. Love Love Love them so much!!!!
Food is AMAZING! Verde's catered my brother-in-law's wedding and rehearsal dinner and we had our baby shower on their patio. They were extremely accommodating and great to work with and I cannot say enough good things about the food!!

Its always a great evening with friends when the food is great and the service is too. I go at least once a month with friends and sometimes alone. Been living on Hamilton Pool Rd 21 years and so glad they’re here.

The food here was amazing! Happy Hour everyday 4pm-6:30pm. It's not easy to find good Mexican food like we have in San Diego but they nailed it!! Excellent service too!
BEST FOOD EVER! Staff is so friendly and polite. Great customer service, they really make it a point to learn your name and get to know you. The atmosphere was incredible. I was a regular at the Hamilton Pool Rd. location and now I am a regular at the Round Rock location. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a great time, great drinks and great atmosphere. You will never see Mexican food the same way again.
Amazingly great food. Simple great flavors that zing together in unexpected ways. I recommend the Carne Asada, Chile Relleno, or the Chicken Enchilada. I look forward to trying the quail or pork chops next time.
You have to get the Verde Sampler. Squash cakes? Phenomenal!!!!!!!!! My 12 year old tried one and we had the fight for the last one. Great food. Great drinks. Great service. Even made us soppapias for dessert which isn't even on the menu for some reason.
Amazing!. Verde's has the best food! It really has the best quality and flavor you will find. We are lucky to live close and have it as one of our "neighborhood restaurants" cause its truly amazing! We've had many things on the menu, but he relleno wrapped in skirt steak (can't remember the name on the menu) and the Porkchop are probably our favorites, although its hard to choose!
Great Mexican Food!. I've eaten at Verde's many times since they've opened and the food has always been great. Service has been good most of the time, but overall, it is tasty every time. Can't tell much about the bar, other than the Dos Equis is cold. Pollo Verde and the Carne Asada are my favorites!

Verde's - Good Food :). We went to Verde's to celebrate our friend's birthday. Food was excellent...drinks caught us by surprised...we ordered a few vodka/sodas...and honestly they could be drank in one sip...it was kind of a joke. But next round we ordered mexican martinis which were delicious. All around food and service was good...it was just a tad on the expensive side for mexican food.
Seven brunch dishes plus Mimosas and Micheladas out on the lively patio make this place a festive choice on Sunday mornings.

Stopped by Verde’s for dinner this past Saturday. We decided to dine at the bar, as the STL Cardinals game was just starting on the TV behind the bar!!! Met Brandon working behind the bar, who turned out to be one of the owners, and originally from my home state of MO, and also a HUGE Cardinals fan! His Cardinals baseball cap was a giveaway! LOL It felt like it was going to be a good night… and it was!
We started with complimentary chips and salsa, which was delicious: super crispy corn tortilla chips, lightly salted, and a very fresh, salsa with just the right amount of heat. We ordered a couple of appetizers, the ceviche and the calabaza cakes. The ceviche was super fresh, and the fried flour tortilla chips served alongside made a good pairing. The liquid wasabi drizzled beneath the chips was a bit of a surprise, but, alongside the mango drizzle, it was good. The calabaza cakes are spaghetti squash and stewed chicken atop a poblano cream sauce. A tasty and delicious combination, and the cream sauce was sublime!
For entrees, we enjoyed the fish tacos and shrimp moho dishes. The ingredients in both dishes were super fresh, freshly prepared, and seasonings were on point. Simply put, both entrées were outstanding! We tried several margaritas during our meal, and we would have to say that the Skinny Holly was our favorite. We were too full to even think about dessert, so we will have to save that for next time.
Ending the evening on an incredibly high note, Brandon allowed us to take an empty bottle of one of our favorite tequilas served at the restaurant, Clase Azul Reposado. Excellent tequila, in a hand-painted pottery bottle. I can also vouch for the Verde’s grilling seasoning sold at the bar. I used it the following night at home, and it is outstanding… Great people, great food! We’ll definitely be back!!!
I do need to apologize for some of the photos included with this review; as noted above, there was a Cardinals' baseball game on, so I did not get pictures of some of the dishes until they were partially eaten! LOL

Verde's delivers quality Tex-Mex food. Another good meal enjoyed recently... the complimentary chips and salsa are da bomb! Light crisp chips, and the salsa tastes like it just came out of the garden... super fresh ingredients! We had a couple of the "Lime in the Coconut" cocktails, reminiscent of a pina colada, but better, and not too sweet. Very good. For food, we settled on the pollo flautas (chicken flautas) and the fish tacos. Both were very good, and the flautas were some of the best we've ever had. The tacos were stuffed full of fish and fresh veggies. We sat at the bar this visit, and the bartender was super-busy, so not much time to visit. Recommend Verde's for good Tex-Mex in the Dripping Springs area.
Was looking for a dinner spot while staying at Cypress Valley, and found this place. I got the Chipotle Pork Chop and my wife got the Carne Asada, both were delish, definitely worth our time and money! They're Churro Cookies are a must have, definitely a unique dessert! 10/10!
Food- terrific, atmospher- wonderful, service - perfect! I stepped out to grab my screaming kids' toy only to come back and learned that the owner came out and brought him a toy car. I really appreciate the gesture, and thank you for this. I'd definitely go here again if we ever pass through.
Fantastic food at a great price. Great selection of local drinks, especially the Sotol! Everyone at our seven person table loved their dinner, drink, and appetizer. The beef fajita, carne verde, and chicken palomino were stand outs!
Verde’s is incredible. Loved the salsa and queso. Ordered beef fajitas for an entree and they were the best I’ve ever had. This is a can’t miss spot!
Definitely gourmet Mexican style food..Delicious flavors. The pork chop was massive! We loved the dining atmosphere and service experience was excellent! Young waiters were very polite in introducing themseves. One was in training. :)
This is hands down the best Mexican food I have had in recent memory. I had the Pollo Palomino, and I could eat that dish every day. Everything from the salsa and queso to start and drinks to our main dish was EXCEPTIONAL.
Great service, great food. Nice play area for the kids while you wait. Good happy hour prices and selection. The salsa was really good. The beef tostadas were really tasty. As well as the fish tacos and beef enchilada although I thought it was a little small. Overall great flavor and the Mexican martini was a hit. If back in the area again will stop again.
Had a Chipotle pork chop and it was delicious. I'm not a huge sweet potato fan but they let me swap out the sweet potato for green Chile mashed potatoes that were delicious. Also a lot of tequila options and you can build your own margarita. Great place

We used Verde's for our wedding. Verde's is, without a doubt, the most delicious Tex Mex food you'll ever have. Typically, wedding food falls into the category of dry and uninspiring, something guests begrudgingly consume. However, our experience with Verde's shattered that stereotype!
The cocktail hour passed appetizers were a massive hit, and to top it all off, we had a queso bar - an absolute crowd pleaser!
The food at dinner was so incredibly scrumptious that our wedding guests couldn't get enough, going back for seconds and thirds!
But what truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by Alanna and Cody. Alanna ensured that I, the bride, had tastes of everything at the wedding - which if you have ever been a bride you know it's hard to eat! Cody roasted a whole pig pig per our request and was even kind enough to re-create a sauce my husband makes as a topping since that was special to us.
Alanna and Cody are not only culinary talents but also some of the kindest people we've had the pleasure of working with. They invested time in meticulously going over our menu, ensuring every detail was perfect and that we were more than happy with their offerings. Their combination of remarkable food and a genuine, caring approach is a true rarity.
Our wedding attendees are still raving about the food, and if that isn't a testament to its greatness, I don't know what is. We wholeheartedly recommend Verde's for anyone seeking exceptional food and service on their special day.
This place makes no sense whatsoever. It’s almost like a pretend Mexican restaurant…except for the food.
If Jennifer is at the front desk, Juan Pablo is definitely in the kitchen. The tequila lime butter quail was absolutely unbelievable.
The homemade salsa was simply outstanding. It could be sold commercially. Prices are exactly perfect for the quality and (bonus) $5 dollar happy hour margarita and $4 shots!!

I had almost forgotten about Verde's, however we were passing this evening and feeling hungry so we stopped to have a quick meal. I was surprised how empty it was on a Friday night - years ago it was always so busy that we would have to make reservations! We sat on the patio which had changed somewhat since my last visit. I really did expect more diners, especially after my first bite of our starter - The bacon-wrapped quail. It was delicious. Much different to what it used to be, yet the flavours were great! I randomly ordered the burger (!) which was surprisingly delicious and also got to sample the layered chicken enchiladas with poblano cream sauce. I may order that next time, however the avocado tacos were very tempting too! If we had not been so full, we may have sampled the Tres Leches cake. Next time, perhaps. The price of the food for the quality was outstanding. We will definitely return. Thank you Verde's!
Although service was ok, food took over an hour to get. Which is understandable at times but not once did manager make appearance to address the many tables complaining. Probably spent extra $30 cause long wait on drinks. On a good note usually great service and experiences , and the updates they are doing are nice.
Great food and margaritas and lovely a outdoor patio. However, the service is not the best. No one was pleased to serve us or attentive whatsoever, and this is my second time with two different people. Willing to give it one more shot though. Just smile and say hello to your local guests. :) we do want to have a great time too!
Lovely dinner. I had a delicious Pollo Anaheim which I'd recommend if you enjoy goats cheese.
Service was a little slow but I think that was because they were very busy. Server was nice.

After visiting friends in the area, on our way out we stopped for dinner (5pm). We were greeted immediately upon entering and seated right away. Our waiter was friendly and patiently answered menu questions and gave suggestions. We happen to be there during happy hour with $5 House Margheritas which we ordered and enjoyed. I ordered nachos ($3 off during happy hour and other appetizers) with chicken added and my husband ordered Verde chicken.
It did take a while for the food to come; however, I already had an idea it would take a while as a little kid across from us asked his parents why their food was taking so long. The wait didn't bother me as I enjoyed my drink and conversation with my husband. When the waiter brought out the nachos I was surprised by the size as well as our neighboring table. There was an abundance of every ingredient on the plate. I enjoyed my nachos and my husband enjoyed his meal. He said it was really good.
I would definitely recommend the restaurant and would stop there again when in the area as the food, service and friendly staff won me over.
