I love this place, and the only thing preventing a 5 star rating is the fact that they don't do booze. Big portions, SUPER tasty food, and friendly staff. They also have a super quaint outdoor seating area, which is awesome when the weather is good. Admittedly, I tend to forget how much I love Olivia, but after brunch last weekend, I'll definitely add them back to the top of my list. There's really nothing bad on the menu. It can be a great spot for a romantic date night or a rowdy Sunday brunch to nurse your hangover.

This past weekend we hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner at Olivia, for approximately 40 people. The service was OUTSTANDING, from the first point of contact, to the end of our dinner weeks later. They were very accommodating. the food was AMAZING! The menu is creative, diverse, and the food was extremely tasty and fresh. Our guests all greatly enjoyed their meal, and were very complimentary and appreciative. This was our first experience at Olivia, and we highly recommend, and look forward to returning.

The food is locally grown and prepared with detail. I had dinner here once and was very pleased. Charming atmosphere, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu. I would definitely come back some time, and I hear their brunch is delicious.

There's a lot of great food in Austin, but few get the service right. I've read other reviews re: service and perhaps they addressed the complaints bc we had a great time. Jared Watson and the team at Olivia were pros. People do care about service not just fancy hipster food. I was planning a B day celebration there today and they accommodated our every request without blank stares or nit picking us on details. Friendly, attentive and honestly made us feel like family. The food was prepared beautifully, and was delicious. (Maybe a little More flavor development but technically on point). Please keep up the amazing work. I'll be recommending you for gatherings in the future. Jared is a star. Keep him on board and well paid! He should be training everyone. (If he isn't already.)

Sophisticated without being pretentious, Olivia's is a great place for a casual or romantic brunch or breakfast. Inside and outside seating, a reasonable amount of parking, great service and absolutely delicious french toast!! The omelettes looked pretty good too!

Went out for a Saturday night date to Olivia and had a fantastic experience. Great ambiance, intimate modern feel. Food was all fresh, locally sourced, in season and cooked to perfection. Loved mussels appetizer with homemade sausage in beer broth. I had scallops over risotto with caramelized brussels sprouts, and my hubby had pork roulade with potatoes, and we were both impressed. Intense and unexpected flavors. Waiter was helpful and attentive without being overbearing. I highly recommend Olivia and will be coming back!

I have a fabulous time every time i go for brunch. Although on the pricier side, you definitely get what you pay for at Olivia. Also, it's so adorable seeing the cute little girl it was named after running around and "helping" out the staff. The fries is always something we get. I know, I know, why the heck would I get fries at a place like this?? But seriously, it's amazing. Other great items are the kobe beef dish, roasted goat(?) rib, mimosa trio, and grits. I've heard their fried chicken is good but unfortunately have not tried it yet.

Try this place for brunch, but you definitely want to call ahead and make a reservation. Otherwise, you'll be waiting an hour or longer! It is that good. Everything is seasonal and the chef changes up the plates based on what local flavors is available. I had the Eggs benedict and my friends had eggs florentine, brisket and pancakes. If there are more than four of you, get the mimosas by the pitcher!

Had a fabulous brunch. Service was outstanding and food was excellent. Perfect execution, great flavors, amazingly fresh. Very impressed with this local gem. And considering its right up the road, it's safe to say we will be regulars. Cheers!

One of the downsides of a great brunch place is that it doesn't stay hidden forever! Olivia has an intimate atmosphere, ideal for parties of 2-6 people, with fresh, well-prepared dishes, a solid drink menu, and great service to boot. For brunch, try the South Austin Omelette, with homemade chorizo and lime crema, or the MacDaddy-- mustard-glazed pork belly with scrambled eggs, if you're feeling gluttonous. I'd recommend that large parties make a reservation to sit outside in the summertime, where you'll get a beautiful view of the community garden.

The kettle corn popcorn flavored Brussels spouts is example of the creative flavors Olivia can create.. The dishes are awesome and service is excellent. Great happy hour with their best dishes. Check out their website for hours.

We came for Sunday brunch and parking was so hard to find! I would highly recommend carpooling for big groups. And I'm so glad we made reservations because it got crowded very quickly. Trio of juices for mimosas...BEST DEAL EVER! For our sunday, it was mixed berries, orange juice (always a classic), and blood orange. Woah...not only were the juices awesome on their own but in a mimosa...even better! We ordered the beef hash and the sweetbread blt. Oh my gosh. The beef hash was solid. Delicious, well executed, and I loved the variation and creativity compared to a simple beef hash. The sweetbread blt had too much bread but besides that it was fried to perfection. I loved the huge cut of the tomato and the avocado aioli that was on the bread. I ended up scrapping it off the bread because it was that yummy. The bacon was ....DELISH! I ended up just eating it by itself because I love bacon (you're crazy if you don't) and I couldn't resist. Oh yeah...we also ordered the bourbon glaze sticky bun. Why? Because it was staring at us from the kitchen and calling out to us..."Eat me. I'm warm and yummy and you want to eat me." Well I did and I don't regret it. Demolished it in seconds. Order it. Seriously, it's amazing. Our waitress was hella awkward. Great service but she had this awkward laugh every time she dropped by our table. Was my face too red? Yes, most likely probably 100% because of the mimosas. Did I unhumanely and disgustingly eat the sticky bun? Um..yes. But do any of these result in super awkardness? Ehh...I don't think so. Nonetheless, we had pretty great service, the interior is beautifully decorated, and our food was really good. I will be back sooner than later to enjoy another drunk brunch!

By far our favorite restaurant in Austin. High quality food and service without being ridiculous, I'm looking at you WINK. There's a reason why we keep coming back and not just because this is where we got engaged but we always feel welcome. The fries are the BEST in town and the steak & frites are never a disappointment. My only complaint is that they only serve beer + wine, add in a full bar where I can sip Old Fashions and I'll be set!

Olivia is a beautiful facility inside and out. The patio overlooks a culinary garden that augments some of the restaurants dishes. They also have a very nice wine selection and a extremely knowledgeable bartender on the night we dined. The beef carpaccio was one on the best we have ever had with the faint flavor of dijon. The salmon tartare was very good. The romaine hearts salad was really tasty along with the two entrees waygu tri-tip & frites and the wild boar shoulder confit melted in our mouths. Olivia's is a keeper.

Love this place! Great happy hour for my broke days and if you are feeling flush, try the special chef series dinners. I splurged on the foie gras dinner on 6/13 and it was positively decadent. Service was outstanding, you could really tell the chefs where having fun, and I got to meet a lot of great new folks. I wish I had a bathtub full of the chocolate foie gras cookie dough ice cream. Next dinner is 7/18

Excellent. Olivia is one of those local Austin restaurants whose menu changes based on item availability, season, and the like, which is optimal when you think about it because you get to eat foods when they’re at their very best. All the local farms from which their entrees are sourced are even listed at the bottom of the menu. The last time that I dined at Olivia, my father and I started with a couple appetizers. The sweetbreads were joined with several visibly separate ingredients on the plate that looked pretty and when layered all together tasted phenomenal. Our other selection, the beef carpaccio was a bit of a disappointment. It was completely devoid of flavor, minus the parmesan, arugula and capers. My father had the wagyu tri-tip and frite and I had grouper with sweet potatoes, fennel and a few other items. Despite the one miss of an appetizer, we were still both extremely satisfied with everything else, including the attentive and friendly service.
