Love love love this! If you are looking for a healthier Indian food option where you don't feel heavy after, this is the place! The Paneer Pakoras are a must and are incredibly delicious! The Masala Fries were good. The Saag Paneer was delicious also. Samosa chaat was flavorful. I love how light I feel after eating here! Excellent!

I love the curry here! It was tasty and all the flavors blended so well. I got the chicken curry and it came with A LOT of meat. I was very happy with my meal and will definitely come back again

Food here was super good and my wife and I enjoyed it. We ordered Masala Fries, chicken pakoras, naan, malai kofta and a lamb and chicken kabob. Both dishes came with jeera rice and were vert flavorful. The only item we didn't care for was the kabobs, as they were very dry. We will definitely stop here next time we visit Austin.

Favorite Indian food place to take people who are new to Indian food. Its got a nice variety without being overwhelming. The food is always good and its filling. The staff has always been helpful. Its clean and has a nice vibe. Lots of takeout orders, but they don't cram seating or tables too close like some smaller restaurants.

if i could give Tarka a 3.75 I would. The food is decent and extremely consistent. not fast food but not quite sit-down quality. others have called it fast casual and I'd agree with that. The quality has not varied any time I've been here. servings are plentiful/large for my standards. parking in curbside is always difficult because people seem to ignore curbside signs in sunset valley, but i've always had curbside find my car when i parked further in parking lot - or i just went inside and picked up my order. I've never been disappointed here but also not blown away. If you want fast americanized Indian food, this is a good choice. It is a bit expensive for what it is.

Surprisingly good quality Indian food for a "fast food" place! Everything I've tried has been great, from korma to curries; the garlic naan is about as good as anywhere I've ever ordered it from! Always quick, good service, when I've got a hankering for Indian food this is a tough place to beat!

OMG - as soon as I stepped in the smells were so wonderfully fragrant!!! I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Naan and was not disappointed. Love the food & the atmosphere. Also appreciated the music! This was my first time there but I will most certainly be back!

Stopped in for quick lunch. Recommended dishes - Chicken pakoras, chicken tikka curry+rice ,chicken kabob. Root beer is good cola option in here. No table service, need to order before reserving space. Parking available infront of restaurant with accessibility parking. Delivery with grub hub and togo options available. Happy Dining

Always delicious. Their tikka masala with shrimp and paneer is my absolute favorite. Consistently good. I normally regret going to another Indian restaurant because Tarka nearly always wins.

I forgot how much I liked going to Tarka! The garlic naan is flavorful. The curry fries are crispy. This is where I started liking Korma as my favorite curry! It’s not going to be the most authentic Indian food you can find in Austin, but it’s a quick, clean fix of it. The shrimp and chicken are the same price, just $11.50, so it was a steal for the amount of tastiness you got in that bowl. Medium doesn’t have much spice but is still delicious. Service is fast and seating is spacious. Would come again!

Tarka (in Sunset Valley) offers consistently solid, fresh, not greasy Indian food. And staff is always very pleasant. I’m really keen on the somewhat recent menu addition Beyond Keema entree (with plant-based protein) for its high flavor, texture and heat. Also like Mulligatawny Soup and anything they offer with lamb, which is cooked just right and moist at Tarka. Samosa and lamb skewers are very good. My wife likes their Chicken Tikka Masala ordered mild. You should join the loyalty program and earn points toward food making it good value. Menu is a bit limited but I’ve easily found what I like. Ambience inside is plain but clean. I only get take out.

Our go to place for dine in and take out. Easy menu to choose from. Excellent service. And simply delicious. Good for curries and pakoda and all other appetizers. However, Biryani is a bit westernized and not authentic but all other food items are very tasty. Mango lemonade also great!

An Indian eatery in Austin. Taste and flavor are good but not fantastic. I won't consider this as very authentic Indian food. Location is convenient and plenty of parking. Service is very good.

Very yummy! If you eat their they bring your food out in traditional silver bowls which is a nice touch. Quick service and easy to order I think. Everything was tasty!

My go to place in south Austin. There fries are so good with desi ranch (need to ask for it separately, provides at no additional cost). The food is super delicious ❤️

First time here and it will not be the last. Ordered the samosas, which were some of the best I’ve had along with the chutney it came with. Also tried the lamb naanini and Saag curry which were amazing. However in regards to the spiciness, I like it hot and medium was not enough, will try the “spiciest” next time.

My favorite of fast casuals restaurants!!! Great Indian food that is legitimately spicy if you ask for the extra spicy option; for it being a chain, that is really surprising. Keep doing what your doing!
