Our first time here and we were very impressed. It’s not fast food, although they have a drive thru. It’s great fresh tasting food and friendly service. Dining inside or out.
We are about 40 minutes from home and happened to be in the area but we just might come back just to eat here.
This was my first visit and I definitely will back. The place by itself is well designed and cool. Plus the food quality was above beyond. I ordered a shrimp Po boy and it was great. The shrimp was well marinated and cooked and came along with fries.
I am obsessed with the Betty sandwich. I've tried a few other dishes and they are delicious as well (the salmon burger, the frenchie burger, the Sala sandwich....) but the Betty is my all-time favorite. I love coming to this spot for lunch, it's a lovely environment with friendly staff who are proud of their restaurant. They love their customers and want to make sure you have a great experience every time. Bring your co-workers, a date, great for anything. Sometimes I'll call ahead and pick up in their drive thru. Super convenient and can't say enough good things about this place. They are frequently packed now when I go and I still get the same excellent service and food. Support this local business!
The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was really nice with seating inside or outside. We sat outside next to the garden while oldies music played. The food was good and unique, although they were out of several items.
The Mister finally chose a restaurant where we actually both enjoyed! Shocker! haha he did good for once. We came here for Monday brunch, it was quite close proximity to where we were staying. 5 mins drive!
The place was cute and very cozy as we were walking in. Nice and toasty since it was extremely chilly and windy that day. A gentleman greeted us and sat us down within minutes. And our waitress took our orders swiftly. I got the Geraldine with queso fries while he ordered the Mister T. Both dish did not disappoint. Very tasty for both. The Mister T sandwich was very crusty and extra crispy with the fries inside. The wagyu was slightly cooked too well done for my taste but nonetheless good overall. His salad was kinda lifeless but not bad. Too much greens for me. Haha but oh my, The Geraldine was huge! Literally one of the juiciest chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. They didn’t overkill my chicken. Very moist and tasty. Loved the bacon strips on it. I wish they had used lettuce instead of spring mix. It was just so messy to eat with leave falling everywhere. The queso fries were savory and delish. Extra crispy fries and bacon drenched in queso? Definitely can’t go wrong with that!
Overall, food was great. Service was amazing. Everyone checked up on us and our dining experience went smoothly. In n out within a hour. Nice brunch to a lovely start of our Monday! Would definitely come back the next time I’m in town to visit!
We had a large group of 8 drop in on a Thursday night. Service was great and attentive. As for food, they might have the BEST FRENCH FRIES in Austin. Just saying. They are ‘Belgian style’ and though I don’t know what that means, I whole heartedly approve. We got the sampler and tried them with several sauces - all of which were on point. Pictured is the Betty, one of their sig sandwiches and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The bread was the star. Would definitely return.
The Betty was so delicious and beyond expectation! My friend was very happy with the Wilson chicken sandwich. The tortilla chips were house made and very tasty as well. Even the side salad was yummy! Highly recommend!
Walking into this place it's surprised me how modern and semi upscale with a drive-thru. There was a great crowd and the environment was very relaxed and customer service was amazing and keeping up with everything. As I tried the fried shrimp it surprised me how fresh it was as a lot of these dishes from reading or using great quality products while tasting my appetizer I could already see the steam coming from my dish and the coleslaw really complimented this dish. Trying my S & B PORK DIP I was surprised if anyone ever needed to dip the sandwich everybody I took retained the juice and the grease and kept the meat tender and juicy with the greens really adding more moisture and the seasoning to stay in there every bite was delicious for me while the fries very light salt, each bite I was thinking to myself they were crispy like chips and light I felt like I could eat more fries the way they were so light. Wonderful first experience and I know there's so many more dishes on the menu that has to be tried.
This is one of my favorite spots in all of Austin! The food is astonishing and more than fairly priced. The staff are family (in some cases literally) and treat you like family also. The venue is charming. They source from local farms. And my favorite — they have a drive through!
Sala and Betty's food is scrumptiously delicious! The slow roasted sirloin with roasted vegetables is a must try. Look at my before and after plates; I ate it all!! Tracy is an excellent waitress that gets the order right every time.
Friendliest neighborhood spot with delicious food and honest home cooking. Recommend them for a date, family outing plus they even have a drive-thru! I love their plate options; one protein, two sides and sauce. Sooo good!
Right off the plane in Austin and came here just as it opened. Perfect outdoor seating with a beautiful day to enjoy it with. Had a glass of the sparkling rose and a frose later in the meal. Ordered the Mister T off the waitresses recommendation and was definitely NOT disappointed. Highly recommend!!
The food was amazing- I completely cleaned my plate! And everyone was so friendly and helpful, so the service was awesome too. I can't wait to come back!
My bf took me here because he loves the typeface on the logo. Good enough reason to go anywhere, I suppose! Had the quinoa salad and it was perfect. Shaved Brussels sprouts and fresh mint and lemon really made it pop. Bf ordered a burger which for a moment made me question my choice because it looked great, too. Nice place with a variety of options, so even couples with different eating habits can enjoy.
Been meaning to try this spot. Smelled lovely just walking in. I went with the daily special which was divine: Mexican meat loaf with stewed potatoes and tomatoes and topped with a nice queso and Tortilla strips. Hit the spot for me. The side was garlic green beans which were great. I would have liked more garlic on the green beans but I really enjoy garlic.
This place has great food at reasonable prices. My boyfriend and I had the Mr. T. We asked for our fries on the side and I'm glad we did because it was perfect. The table next to us decided to order their sandwiches as is (with fries on the sandwich) and I saw them picking off the fries. In my opinion the fries make the food bland. I had creme brulee which was fantastic. Meant to take a picture but I gobbled it right up before I had a chance to think about taking a picture. I would go again in a heart beat. Go early. It gets busy during peak hours.
New Years Eve Visit! Specialty Menu. EVERYTHING was INCREDIBLE. Favorites: Apricot Croquettes, Shrimp Bisque, and when I die I want my last meal to be the Gnocchi with cabbage apples and sage brown butter. YES! There are literally no words to describe how excellent it tasted. I had Pomegranate parfait and Champagne pound cake for dessert! Tasty!!!
Excellent locally owned place. They have a good selection of beers on tap, the food is prepared with attention to detail, priced well and good sized portions. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Austin.
