Arlo Grey is an amazing blend of midwest comfort food with a delightful Asian flair. The entire staff was excellent with anticipating our needs and explaining and recommending dishes. Darla our server recommended the sourdough starter and I’m so thankful they did! Originally that wasn’t on our list and that was one of my favorite dishes! The cocktails were extremely fun and the wine selection was wonderful and we cannot wait to visit again!
Absolutely delightful and surprising find.
Most inventive meal we’ve had in a very long time. Didn’t have a bad dish.
Everything was so carefully prepared and plated - could really taste the balance and artistry in every bite.
Had a total of 9 dishes, and while all spectacular, the eggplant / dumpling and the mushroom pasta were divine.
Desserts (pictured) were playful and unusual in all the right ways.
Highly recommended.
Out of transparency we ain’t fancy folks who seek fine dining. We normal folks :)
I booked this restaurant for my husband's birthday and our friends. It was wonderful! The service, food, drinks, and cleanliness of the restaurant met all our expectations. The wagyu, pasta, and desserts were fantastic. We did family style dining for 5 people. We hope to get Bran again. Chef Alex did a great job on our all our dishes! Definitely coming back!
One of the best restaurants I have been to! The food was phenomenal and the service was great. Every dish that was recommended to us were outstanding.
We stayed at The Line Austin hotel and decided to give this restaurant and it blew us away! We went twice during our stay!

Wonderful experience all the way around. Service was excellent and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. If you can, snag a table by the windows that look south. Food was all wonderful, from the appetizers to the dessert. Always worried a popular place won’t live up to the hype but Arlo Grey was a special experience.
Reviews have been giving this place a bad rap. It is a spacious chic concept. While some of the dishes could use drastic improvements (the Hen and chamomile pudding in specific), the food over all as great! I'd come back again as the seasonal menu changes. Anytime there was an issue they comped the dish and provided a free dish. After sunset does get dark and quite intimate. My reccomendations would be the steamed bun, bucatini, burger (get the salad), coconut and pistachio mousse, and the sour dough ice cream.
Arlo Grey is an exemple of how its done right in downtown Austin, TX. The vibe was very electric and yet calm with a very welcoming colume throughout the room. Guests were attended to in fluid swarm service and my guest and I were tended to by varying faces who were all well versed into their menu to educate us as our dinner courses were dropped. Carlos was an amazing and well spoken associate and delivered my guest and I the utmost of confident choices and fave reccos. The presentation of each dish was masterful, in both esthetic and flavor. Each dish walked the walk and talked the talk. There were no bad palate experiences this evening and I am critical to the enth degree; tonight was a perfect dining experience. Our drinks were crafted to perfection, courses were timed and dropped like clockwork. Burratta salad was art-on-plate; Oyster Mushroom made me weak in the knees. Crispy rice is now my thing, this dish cannot be forgotten once youve experienced it. The pork chop can satisfy any palate in search of bbq or needing a bbq-like craving. The tenderness and flavor of the pork was intense and each bite was as exciting as the first. The Halibut was absolutely divine and the color variance was splendid and second only in appreciation to its overall flavor. Desserts were the best I've had in a log time here in Austin, Im easy to please so desserts are an easy please for me. However the desserts on the menu at Arlo Grey are all cant misses. Despite being full at the end of our dinner my guest and I made room for a barrage of sweets tabled for us by an extremely hospitable floor manager as a must taste situation. Say less! Each dessert had me in near extasy as the combinate of sweet and savory elements combined in masterful combinations. I swear my allegiance and palate to the sourdough ice cream dessert; pure delight that can change a challenging mood in an instant! Everything in the evenings experience was prime. Hospitality, service, attention, ambiance, floor feng shui is opportune with a positive and elegant dining experience for any guest occasion. The value vs cost was more than appropriate and each dish was priced in a very reasonable range for local, business, or tourist based guest demographics. As a local Austinite I am a little saddened I had not fully experienced this aboslute eclectic downtown oasis until now; but its now a routine destination spit for me and my discerning palate. The restrooms alone, are instagram worthy lol. Make reservations, you're going to need them; this place is very welcoming even to social ametuers. So I definately reccomend, if you want seating on this floor to play like a professional and make reservations. Happy dining.
Delicious. We had the burrata, crudo, crispy rice, bucatini, and pistachio mousse. The crudo, crispy rice, and pistachio mousse were 10/10 incredible. Exceeded expectation and worth revisiting.
Our server Trista was authentic and knew the menu inside and out to help us pick the best dishes. The only thorn we experienced was the inexperienced front of house. Only half the tables were full when we arrived and it took them 10 minutes to seat us and it was a big fuss to get a seat close to the window.
It's in the Line hotel, straight in from the valet parking walk forward and the restaurant reception is just past the couch seating.
Recommend reservations. I'm not ure if they were understaffed but foos came out before drinks, they made up by comping the drinks.
My face was the crispy rice. It was inspird by the Koren bibimbap dish. The lasagna was unique and one the best lasagna I've had. The biscuits and everything were delicately seasoned and prepared.
Cool waiter, nice atmosphere; clean.

Everything was well worth it. Food was excellent with great flavors and composition. Service was excellent. Wife's bday was fantastic here!
Food, drinks, and service are excellent! We only had time for appetizers. The hamachi and burrata are so deliciously different and interesting compared to most. You have to get the fried rice!
O. M. G. are we glad we made a res here. Dinner was super, super delicious 😋 and Bran, our server, was helpful and attentive. We shared 4 plates: The burata had a great combo of flavors different from the typical (apples, hazelnut drizzle, mushroom gremalata. The mafaldini - my personal favorite dish of the meal - the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the mushrooms and onion added a richly meaty/earthy taste that I wanted to roll around in! The raviolo's sauce had a nice lemony zing, but we thought it was a little overcooked and there was too much ricotta. And lastly, we shared the pork chop, even though we could have happily ended our meal with the pasta, but heavens above, that might have been the best chop we've ever eaten; tender, juicy, savory, just perfect. Really, really great meal.
17oz Wagyu Ribeye, Tuna crudo, Crispy Rice were each amazing.
Roasted Oyster Mushroom and Mafaldini were very good.
Matcha Pistachio Ice Cream Cake, Hey Seoul Sister cocktail, and Tea Thyme cocktail were merely good.
Our server was warm and attentive.
Given how good the food is and the celebrity chef, the prices felt like a bargain in that it's not quite the price point of most fine dining. And Kristen Kish came out with two of our dishes, said hi, and took a photo with us - - that made our night!
Yes that's a full five stars because of the fact that it was a five-star service in every way. The table, set into what felt like a secret garden overlooking a luxurious view of green leading to the river. The food is nothing short of magical. And the service which made our dinner fun, entertaining and genuine. Kisha loves what she does and it shows in the food and the atmosphere.
Last night we dined at Arlo Grey in the Line hotel. To say it was incredible is an understatement. I am not qualified to critique food at this level however, this was a culinary experience unlike any other - and if you’ve seen me it’s not hard to tell I enjoy a good culinary experience. From the fried steam buns, to the Mafaldine, to the Matcha experience that was the closest thing to heaven on earth - I was blown away. Each dish offered a comforting feeling and truly made me feel warm and full.
What truly tied this culinary expedition together was the amazing staff, from the hostess who seated us a few minutes early to our waitress Nevaeh|Brann who took us on a food journey that will make any restaurant I go to feel lackluster from now on. Brann described each dish with an elegance and eloquence I cannot say I have ever seen or heard before. The way she spoke about each course beautifully told a story that reflects chef Kristen Kish’s perfectly curated menu and Chef Alex’s execution was magnifique. A chef’s kiss truly. Brann’s vernacular elevated our experience and left us wanting more. Arlo Grey by Kristen Kish is now our go-to restaurant to impress our friends and Family as it is perhaps the best amalgamation of food, ambience and hospitality.
Thank you chef @kristenlkish for choosing Austin as Arlo Grey’s home!
Brann, as a server, surpasses all expectations and operates on an entirely different plane. She embodies the very essence of Arlo Grey, effortlessly translating the spirit and vision that this restaurant strives to capture. It is as if she is the living embodiment of its ethos.
Words fail to capture the level of expertise and profound knowledge that Brann possesses for each and every dish. Her ability to retain intricate details and flawlessly deliver them to diners is nothing short of awe-inspiring. She stands unrivaled, leaving one to wonder if her immense talents are being fully harnessed and appreciated.
Brann exudes an unparalleled drive and passion that sets her apart from any other server I have encountered in my worldwide culinary explorations. With a grace and poise that would impress even the highest echelons of nobility, she flawlessly orchestrates the dining experience without so much as a hint of hesitation. Her confidence and finesse are simply remarkable.
I cannot overstate the impact that Brann had on our dining experience. She took it to heights previously unimaginable. Her presence and impeccable service elevated the entire evening to a realm of pure enchantment. The combination of her knowledge, skills, and unwavering dedication left an indelible impression on us.
In conclusion, Brann, as a server, defies conventional boundaries and emerges as a true luminary. She personifies the essence of Arlo Grey and surpasses expectations with her unmatched expertise and unwavering passion. Our encounter with her was nothing short of transformative, leaving us in awe of her exceptional abilities.
The ambience was really nice! We had a view of the river from our table, and despite it being dark out, it was super peaceful and nice to see the water glistening. The dishes and flavors were unique, making this dinner experience very memorable! The burger was definitely a highlight. The food is more than worth the price, and we had great service! We we're very impressed by Chef Kush's restaurant and will definitely be returning in the future.
What an amazing dinner and Birthday experience we had for my wife @arlogreyaustin. @kristenlkish , Nadia and Arlo Grey team, Thank you! You made her birthday and our trip to Austin so very special!
We made the trip from Fort Worth to Austin to eat at Arlo Grey and we were not disappointed! The space was so inviting and I’m a big fan of all the amazing plants!
The menu had a wide variety of options, something for everyone. Every dish came with just a slight twist on what you would normally expect.
The Tuna Crudo was absolutely outstanding and delicate. Because of the burrata with sourdough toast, I will be serving pears in some form with my Burrata in the future because of how they complimented each other so well. I will probably have to wood smoke my sourdough too, because that added a layer of complexity that should not be missed in the menu.
The House made Fusilli pasta with Confit was the adult version of Mac n Cheese after it has gone to college and gets a graduate degree!
The Wagyu steak, with Frits and greens was the star of the protein show! The finest cut and preparation of meat I have ever experienced.
The Fried Steamed Buns were an experience all on their own. Lightly sweet, but giving you that crispy texture of a funnel cake, trust me, outstanding!
The cocktails were very exciting and so much fun to try. I was a huge fan of the Honeymooners and First Light! The whole team at Arlo Grey helped with the service and Nadia was friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back to see the team again and try some of the other items!
