I hadn’t been here in a very long time. Since before all of the nice buildings around it were there. Still has its nice vintage vibe, very retro and homey. The food is very good and the prices are great, if you’re drinking and partying on E. 6th St., this is the greatest spot to go afterwards to put something in your stomach. Very convenient location, highly recommend.

Cisco's was my favourite place in Austin, and I went to a lot of places in my short time there. The vibes of the place completed me. I could have sat there all day getting my coffee refilled and watching the condensation drop from the AC into an eclectic array of buckets, but sadly I had places to be. These were the best breakfast tacos I've had. They were nothin fancy and that's the point. The definition of cheap and cheerful. The flavours were perfect. I should have got more. But no regrets. The giant spoon in the coffee was a nice touch.

Old school Tex-Mex You come here for the vibe. And the food, which is part of the vibe, and pretty much exactly what you’d expect from classic Austin Tex-Mex. Decent sized portions (ok, sometimes huge), and very happy-making. Great service took so if you don’t want to stand in the infinite lines in the nearby places, eat here!!

Great place. Happy to support a long time business with awesome staff. No real vegan options. I ordered the veggie fajitas and asked for no cheese/no sour cream with the fixings. They were so delicious. My partner ordered the chicken fajitas and he loved them. I would definitely come back. Everything about the place is worth coming back over and over again. We still talk about the food. Just a great place with great food.

Went here for my Birthday. Never heard of the place we just seen it when looking for somewhere to go since other place we came for was closed. It was later in the evening so it was not busy. The server was a young gentleman which was no very friendly but did his job well and I can appreciate that! The menu was great if you like comfort foods. Also had some really really great tortilla soup

This is a great historical food location in East Austin!! Awesome food, staff and atmosphere. Also pretty damn reasonably priced in my opinion for today's food prices. Update: 6/6/22 it's been 1 year now that I have started coming to Cisco's (nearly once a week) and just like the first visit the food and service have been awesome! Thanks Cisco's and special thanks to Norma and her awesome music ;).

This little place... It isn't so little. The kitchen is up front and it seems like it's a small cafe at first. The staff is right there to take your order before you even sit down, so there's a regular home-like feel to the joint. There are people using phones for e-deliveries, and a cliche of young kids, but also, and this is what piqued my interest, a work crew early in the morning by the construction. But not just blue or no collar, but an eclectic sort of clientele. I sat down at the bar and had ordered, then looked around the place Lol and behold, it expanded. I still can't understand why more places do this, but every available square foot is ready for an onrush of say fifty people, easy. You have the city's finest tucked in the back on their break, very private and very comfortable. Then there is the editor, or the wayward business person. It's a diner and a restaurant and a bar. But it's not. The service is excellent. Very friendly and bilingual. A very clean place, although you would not expect it by the surrounding neighborhood establishments which cater to the party crowd. But the breakfast: good portions. Not great, not huge. A little wanting if that is your concern... But the taste and the ingredients used, well, that's where your money is going. A very fine balance between quality and quantity. Yes, you can hit up a food truck if you wish. You'll get more per dollar, for sure But the service, the meal, the perfect combination of quick, friendly, exceptional service alongside of a great dish (take your pick, I went with the three egg dish, alas no biscuits were made) you will be pleased. If visiting Austin and you find yourself on the east side of the highway, make the trek. It's so efficient that I think you'll enjoy all three stages of meals in a day there and wonder how you got satisfied so quickly. It would almost have slipped my mind to write this review. It's like I was at home and the family gave me my meal before work. Yet I could linger and chat, but why interrupt the staff from delivering satisfaction to the rest of the patrons? Great place. A staple.

Good breakfast tacos at a decent price. The tacos did have a lot of ingredients in them from the sausage to the chorizo to the potato taco. I am happy with my experience. The classic diner setting is fun and lends quite a fun morning ambiance. Of particular note, their black coffee isn’t just a can of Bustelo’s. It’s legitimately good coffee.

This place is awesome! And we stumbled upon it completely by accident! I was at a meeting a couple blocks away and when we broke for lunch, a ten of us wanted to eat together but had no idea where to go. We decided to wander aimlessly down the street. It was unseasonably freaking cold out, so that was a bad idea. We stopped at Ciscos solely because we were freezing. Sadly, they were slammed with the lunchtime rush and couldn't accommodate a group of 10 walk-ins at one table, so we left. But did I mention it was really really cold? Four of us decided it was too much so we split off, went back to Cisco's, and we're richly rewarded. I can't believe that my $9 lunch special chicken enchilada could be so delicious and so satisfying! The food was great, the service warm and friendly, and the atmosphere perfect. I suspect we will be eating here all week....at least for lunch and breakfast.

We came from Chicago in search of the Best Breakfast in Austin. Cisco’s didn’t disappoint. The red sauce served with the Breakfast was amazing. I loved the message on the mirror- The Mirror Does Not Lie 🤣🤣. ORDER THE MEGAS

The food here is amazing and comes in large portion sizes. Service is always flawless and the whole place is warm and homey. This place reminds me of my grandma's house and they definitely respect their regulars. I love that they're open nights now and it's quickly becoming a chill hang out after a crazy night. Definitely an Austin classic.

Wow, just wow! They have the best carne guisada in town! I just found my new favorite taco spot on the East side! Also- the biscuits and gravy and to die for.

Enjoyed lunch here with colleagues from work. Food and service were both good. I wish there was a choice on beans (I'm not a refried fan). Enchiladas were delicious.

Great local spot. So homey. Reminds me of my grandfather's store growing up. Old school business that served the community. I had the Migas Plate and the Picadillo appetizer. With the plate you can go tortillas or biscuits. I chose the tortillas. The Migas did not dissapoint. It was served fast and it sure it the spot on a cool rainy morning. The Picadillo is served in a fresh bolillo and was filling. I love the classic old interior, right down to the eclectic mix of chairs. The prices are reasonable and definitely are a good value given the decent food portions. You gotta check 'em out.
