My husband and I are big breakfast people and Satellite is our favorite breakfast spot in Austin! Their eggs Benedict is my favorite, but everything is good that I've tried so far.
A cozy, clean, welcoming place that smells like your Mama's kitchen. Live music a few days a week with fresh ingredients on the plate and inventive drinks at the bar. And somehow you get all this with it being kid-friendly?!? It's like parent utopia if your kids are chill. My new favorite place.
Very Impressive!. My hubby and I met a couple of friends there Saturday night and loved it!. The band was great and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for.
The presentation of the food was artistic and the flavor was unique and delicious.
This is a perfect date night place.

I gave thumbs up because the food is consistent. With that being said, the service is consistently ATROCIOUS and SLOOOOOW.
Satellite is near my friends' home in SW Austin, and we wanted a non-tex-mex lunch after having lots of great tex-mex during our visit. Satellite's patio also looked inviting, so in we went. I had the Thai Stir-Fry w/tofu and my dining companion had the Creamy Penne Pasta w/chicken. Both arrived quickly and were delicious - both dishes were solid variations of standard flavors prepared w/fresh ingredients. My only complaint is that there were surprise mushrooms in mine, which I dutifully picked out. Satellite's live music lineup looks very inviting, and the patio provided the perfect shade and breeze on a hot afternoon. Overall experience was not brilliant, but was strong enough to make us return.
Pretty good. Satellite is a decent place to eat. It's rather expensive and since we live in North Austin it is quite a drive for us, so we won't frequent Satellite. Mimosas are below par, but the fish tacos were pretty tasty. The ginger soy dipping sauce is fantastic.
Pure Austin Delight. These people really know what they're doing. Tuna tartar, Thai Stir Fry, and Miciah's margarita are a great way to end a tough week. The live music so close to home rocks my world.
Incredible!. This place is the Trifecta--excellent food, excellent atmosphere, and excellent service. If you are visiting for the first time or are looking for a destination restaurant in Austin, you can't beat the Satellite.
Love It. The Kamburis brothers have hit a home run with Satellite Bistro and Bar! I make it a point to go every time I'm in Austin. Great food and a wonderful atmosphere. There's been nothing on the menu that I didn't love!
Love the Saganaki. Great atmosphere and staff. The flaming cheese is delicious and the breakfast is terrific.
Great Date Place!. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner on a Friday night about a month ago when the weather was still warm enough to sit outside. The patio was cozy and the live music they had playing set the perfect ambiance. Our guava martinis were tasty and strong, the way a drink should be. The crabcake appetizer was better than many I've tasted and the tuna tartar appetizer pleasantly surprised me. For dinner, I enjoyed the scallops, which were seared perfectly and complimented well with the cognac sauce served with them. My boyfriend had salmon, which was good quality. For dessert, we had creme brulee and a couple glasses of tawny, which perfectly capped off the evening. I would definitely recommend this place, especially on a Friday or Saturday night when they have live music.
We've been going there since it opened and have very happy with them. There is nothing on the menu I wouldn't order. Yes, they are slammed Friday evenings, but who isn't? It beats the chains TGIF by a large margin.
This is a great little neighborhood bistro with good fare and spirits. It seems to be very popular as I often see the patio full of people. I sometimes like to pop-in for an evening cocktail or two shortly before they close. When it is less crowded.
Quality food, quiet atmosphere that you can have conversation. Had breakfast.. A little mix-up on 1 order. However, apologies given & that order was removed from the ticket price. Definitely recommend. Friendly good service. Love the French toast sandwich & great bacon.
Nice spot for dining out. The patio is very nice. The food and service have been excellent each time I've visited. I tried the Harrisa Power Bowl with chicken on my last visit. Highly recommend this dish. Super yummy!
Food is delicious! Check out the dessert menu here before you go. Atmosphere doesn't quite line up with the rest. Menu, price, etc seems higher end but there's booths for seating like a quick service place. Dinner portions are just right.

Mighty Greek Gyro Salad
Satellite is on our regular restaurant rotation for lunch where the food and service has always been excellent. On this unusually warm winter day I ordered the Mighty Greek Gyro Salad. I recent seem to been ordering salads from restaurants so decided to try one of theirs. The menu stated its a choice of marinated chicken (I selected) or lamb, Greek dressed field greens, cucumber, picked red onions, black olives, pepperocinis, and other ingredients.
My salad arrived and look very presentable with two large pea bread pieces slid a bit into the salad. The chicken was soft and had great flavor to my mouth. The mixture of the rest of the ingredients all went together and enjoyed this salad. What I most like about it was of all the salads I recently had this one was much different and placed into a deluxe category in my book. I enjoyed it very much.

Texas Redfish Tacos
I arrived at Satellite ATX right when they opened for the day and was their first customer. We sat on the outdoor patio and browsed the lunch menu. I routinely come here and enjoy what is offer and the food taste very good. I ordered the Texas Redfish Tacos for lunch. This is nice relaxing hangout and enjoy being so close to home.
The tacos were nice and tasty which had great ingredients. It included fresh seared Gulf Redfish topped with mixed cabbage and pepper & onions wrapped in a corn tortilla. A side of string beans completed the plate. The fish tacos had a great flavor and complimented with the cabbage. I had a great lunch and enjoyed the atmosphere of this place.

The food was excellent. I had the lamb gyro with a mini Caesar salad and the carrot cake, which was DIVINE. The atmosphere is comfy diner style but was nice and quiet so I could catch up with my friend.
My husband and I have been going to Satellite for 18 years, even the Oak Hill location. I consider myself a foodie. The food was excellent! We have continued to eat out thru the pandemic and appreciated the neighborhood location. However, today's visit " was the off the charts. The general manager Sue checked in with us and other staff because it was a busy brunch. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Kerie, Shaylon and Dolly (the star of the day my new puppy).
We sat outside because the weather was perfect that afternoon. The wait staff was quick, responsive, and friendly. We ordered the salmon and the beef tenderloin and both were excellently prepared. I was a tad concerned about the sauce for the salmon as many places will make it too acidic, but it was perfect - flavorful without being overwhelming. Likewise the rice pilaf wasn’t greasy from the sauce and the dish was both filling and refreshing. The beef tenderloin was tender as well. My only complaint would be that some of the stalks of asparagus were so fibrous to not be edible, but this complaint was not enough for me to remove a star.
The hostesses started things off right! Immediately made to feel welcome.
My server, Autumn, kept something going on: water w/lime, menu, condiments, etc. until putting the food on the table. Excellent follow-through. Perfect!

One of the first places I've gone to eat at since covid started and it was definitely worth the visit! The food was great and the staff was very welcoming and friendly and they always made sure we had everything we needed. Loved it here!
Delicious food and comfortable atmosphere! We had the chicken lettuce wraps, burgers, sirloin with veggies, and cream cheese carrot cake. Nice variety of wine pairings, tried a red wine. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice restaurant to have dinner at!
Delicious food and beverages, comfortable setting and reasonable value. They have reverse happy hour which I really think is a nice plus.
Had a great lunch with friends on the large, shaded patio. So great! We're already planning a trip back! The service was fast, and our server and the GM checked back frequently to ensure we had everything we needed. The menu features plenty of fresh, healthy selections, including vegan and vegetarian options. Look forward to our next visit!
Food was pretty good and the drinks where nice
Really, really cute place we have here. Good menu with American favorites. The penne pasta was great, shrimp is great, and very cool atmosphere.
Inside and outside area, full bar, and good location. Cant wait to come back!
