Great vibe , great food and great service. Went on a fluke and so glad we did. I think the breakfast menu is better than the lunch/dinner menu but that could just be the bacon talking lol.

A gem of a find - great food, huge list of vegetarian options as well as carnivores, and all day breakfast. The service was great. I had the vegetarian lasagna and it was really delicious, served with hot crusty bread. We really enjoyed this cute quirky place.

The food and the service were awesome. We had the steak and fries, the chicken fried chicken, and the portabello mushroom sandwich. Definitely a must go to place for our Austin visits

Migas is always my benchmark and they did not disappoint. We split an order and it was served on two plates with extra tortillas. Salsa had a nice kick. Excellent service... coffee was always topped off.

Passed it by because it doesn’t stand out. Almost didn’t come here but the map said it was here. Glad I stopped. The place is small and quiet with jazz playing. Breakfast was great and the service was better.

For the last 25 years they have fed me good food at a fine price with perky quirky cheer. Keep Austin weird and wonderful by eating here.

Great experience...open 24 hours day..a hidden treasure in the down town Austin...the longest 24hr restaurant in Austin...it survived the pandemic, but barely..parking is a bit tricky but don't let that deter you. Keep this landmark open... food was classic diner with breakfast served 24hrs a day and happy hour drinks we're awesome. There is a propane smell when you walk in but the food makes up for it. I love the Electric green glitter booths. ADA wheelchair accessible. No patio for the fur baby. I would most definitely come back here after a concert again.

Avant-garde café sitting on the freeway feeder. Open 24 hours. Inexpensive. Stellar atmosphere and good food. Delicious hamburgers. 🍔. Wide menu selection for a small cafe. Great for late dinner or early breakfast. Sweet waitstaff pay attention to the customers. Safe area, but be vigilant if you’re dining in the early morning hours. Fun place to eat.

Down to earth older diner with unexpectedly amazing food. Come here if you want good food and a less pretentious atmosphere than you may find close to the river.

Star Seeds donated food to St. David’s Rehab event to lift the spirits of nurses, doctors, therapists, and patient care techs. Everyone loved the breakfast tacos and chips with queso! They are open 24 hours too so night shift staff can order from there!

For my 100th review had to do an Austin classic, this spot has been around in one way or another since Austin was REALLY weird in the 70s. It’s an Austin institution that’s survived a lot of change but may not make it past 35 expansion which isn’t gonna do anything for traffic. Anyway, it’s a real locals spot which ya won’t find in top Austin musts, but it does it’s job as a local diner. It’s a 24 hour authentic diner in a town that caters to the hip and new. It’s not a modern chic diner, but it does have cool art and a good atmosphere. If you’ve been on a road trip and stopped in a small town diner, or have a spot back home where you’re from that really only people from the town know about then you’re picturing this place accurately. Stars Cafe is okay with accepting its identity. It’s a place to grab some munchies when you’ve been out on the town or partying and it’s a good spot for some coffee and surprisingly good breakfast tacos before work starts. Everyone at my table enjoyed their order. The Tex-Mex omelette was pretty dang good in my opinion. The mimosa was 2$ and despite none of the plates looking particularly amazing all the food was the bomb dot com. It had us full, didn’t cost an arm and a leg, and was a good spot for the friends to socialize and catch up. It doesn’t pretend to be bougie, it’s just a local diner and that’s what it wants to be. It’s not amazing in the grand scale of Austin eating and if it was going for that I wouldn’t give it 5 stars. But it’s just being stars cafe, the place you stopped by when you were drunk DT or needed a place with coffee to study at that’s 24/7. It met all my expectations EXCEPT for the side of sweet potato fries, that’s not a lot of fries for a side, but besides that the omelette were good, the hash-browns surprisingly tasty and everyone else enjoyed their food and the impromptu mimosa (for 2$ we had to get one). We’ll all be back here sometime. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience this isn’t your spot, but if ya want some good grub, that’s reasonably priced with cool/friendly employees, and an old school Austin vibe, the “weird” that everyone originally moved to Austin for, then you’re in the right spot!

I don't care what you eat in life, but if you ever wanna eat the greatest nachos of your life, eat their nachos. It's a life changer. See the attached picture for mouth wateriness...fyi I just made that word up. That's how good these nachos were. They made me make up words....call websters.

Firstly I love how inclusive this place is. Anybody could walk through the doors and be accepted. With that being said, this place is probably not for your 70 year old republican grandfather. They were full on DJing and my EDM loving self LOVEDDD it, but again it’s not for everyone. Our waitress was adorable and gave quick, friendly service. I’m not sure of her name but she had red hair. My food was sooo good and the pricing was great. Mimosas and iced coffee were awesome too! Thanks for a good night :)

5 stars for the SERVICE and our Server , also the Chef/Breakfast meals. Coffee was way to acidic. Only negative was the “odor” at the entrance to this “eclectic and artsy “ local hole in the wall. If you’re adventurous…and forgiving…and get lucky enough to get our server…it’ll also be a 90% positive experience for you 😜😜😜😜

I have been coming here ever since I moved to San Antonio. Yep, it’s that good. I always have fun when I come here no matter what the time. Early morning or late night, there is always something to see here. Good food and good company. It’s an easy on and off exit and I’ve never had a bad meal or experience. The Eye Opener is a great breakfast for a great price. The carafes of mimosas top it all off!

First time here. We were served by the delightful manager Denise.✨ We asked for a few substitutions for sides to work with a keto diet and they worked with that. Thank you. The food was delish, service was great. Breakfast all day. Well be back
