My favorite Dan's. Working person's breakfast. Burgers the old fashioned way.

Def a "greasy-spoon" kind of restaurant but the cheeseburger, onion rings, and vanilla malt I got were fantastic.
More grease=More flavor. Probably the shadiest Dan's in town, but so far my favorite. A lot depends on the cook and this cat knows how to cook a burger. The buns were warmed on the flat top with a little butter and some drippings mixed in for flavor.
Inside tip, if you like crispy onion rings, order yours extra crispy, they'll make sure they are crispy, but never burned. They also offer tasty curly fries. I usually get the medium cheese burger, it's just about the right size with rings and a drink for lunch.
They're famous for their biscuits and gravy for breakfast, so stop by and try them. It's like mom used to make.
After seeing the sign many times, I finally got the chance to try Dan's Hamburgers for lunch. The dining area inside of the restaurant is smaller than I expected but well arranged; there is no table service, one has to place the order then look for an available table. For this visit, I decided to try Double Meats & Single Cheese with everything in it and an order of fries. The burger portion was generous and very well cooked; the patties were juicy and well seasoned. For my next visit, I will definitely add jalapeños to spice things up a little. Overall, a good tasty burger that I will recommend.
We love their breakfast menu. Breakfast tacos and biscuits and gravy all in one place! The hamburgers are classic and delicious, also available all day long.
I love the food service. We may not always catch the cashier in a good mood, but they stay tuned with the food for sure! I always enjoy the crisp in my fries and my burger well done 🫶🏽💯
The parking lot is weird but otherwise this is a great spot to stop for breakfast or lunch. Their burgers are delicious and the fries are great. You order, take a seat, and then grab your order when it's ready.
Good damn Burger! I like my fries crispy, these are cooked only to a soft touch. Shake maci e broke!? wth…. Cleanliness may be on the edge bit place is coo, comfortable and priced right!
In business for 50 years, 4 locations should be all you need to know if you want that kind of food... Friendly folks, quick service, reasonably priced...easy to get to and out of...the bomb!
Never had a problem. It is always good to eat here. Services at the cashier is 100%, especially this one person always giving me courtesy and respect,and always calls me brother. Burgers are always nice and hot,along with the fries. Plus I always run into a long time friend that I have known from the 70s or 80s. A great place to take your family or even a special person
I always get a Bacon Cheeseburger and Milkshake when I go because they are so good! I got a large order of fries and was pleasantly surprised at how fresh, warm and hearty they were. I like fries that have a little skin on them too. I had a great customer service experience. The atmosphere is cute it reminds me of old timey diner which is always a vibe. Dan's Hamburgers is one of the best places for an affordable, quality fresh burger.
I enjoy Dan's Hamburgers at Shady Lane and Airport. The servers and the staff were the best. We went to the counter to place our order and they told us to take a seat, and someone would be there shortly to take our order. Initially, we went to eat breakfast. But I just couldn't help craving a burger. Well, I gave in and ordered a regular cheeseburger, a small onion ring, and a fantastic small strawberry shake! The taste is just like I remember - delicious!

Stopped by for a quick bite before going to an event in the area. Walked up and there's two doors at the entrance, the right door is for pickup and the left door leads to the dining area with walk-up ordering. There's about 25 tables with protective partitions in the dining area.
The cashier wasn't too helpful when inquiring about their shake flavors. She insisted they are on the menu behind her before I asked her where are they listed. After realizing they weren't on the menu, she rudely stated they only have strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla. I ordered the strawberry shake.
For the food, ordered a cheeseburger, french fries, and onion rings. After about 10 minutes, they called my name to pick up my food at the window. Food was fresh and had the nice homemade look. The burger wasn't the best looking, but was very good. The fries and onion rings were both crisp and hot out the fryer. Shake was very thick and tasted full of fresh strawberries. Food was great even though the service wasn't.
Solid fast food burger, good price, and the onion rings are perfectly crispy. The bacon is more the chewy kind rather than crispy.
Good quality burgers. Will be back for more. You can’t miss their curly fries either
I was at dans and not really looking to spend money so I asked the waitress if I can eat the food that was left over by another customer she said no. I’m sorry that’s against health standards but then proceeded to give her leftover breakfast which was delicious thank you

I always go there for my chocolate shake and fries...alot of people thinks it's gross,but nothing like a classic to hit the spot...love this place...10 outs 10 all day everyday ❤️❤️❤️
Ordered ahead through the phone and once I got there (10 min) my food was ready! These burgers are sooo delicious and don’t get me started on their curly fries… so crispy and well seasoned. Staff was very friendly as well. 10/10
Dan’s deserves a perfect ten! I ate so much I made myself sick I was full ALL day and then some. Quality food with a old vibes was exactly what I needed for my birthday. I was so amazing that so many men were in the kitchen. I did not see not one woman. No shame or blame in it I love seeing women work but seeing all men was amazing. I even flirted with the cooks a little just to say you all did an amazing job at making me smile. When my stomach is happy my heart is happy. It was easy to find the location with the GPS and you order your food and pick it up when your order is ready. Organized and Right on time Dan deserves ALL awards for quality food and service. Baby then onion rings woolalala slam dunk
A consistent favorite of mine, great service, great food, and great price. Consistenly the best onion rings in Austin, and a regular Cheeseburger with hickory and mustard is a little messy but very satisfying. Great shakes too, and this all goes for every location I've been to. Go to Dan's while you still can! You never know what's gonna change next in Austin.
