Honestly the best chicken quesadilla I’ve had in a while. The fajita quesadilla comes with onions already so don’t forget to add bell peppers and tomatoes which is the best! The service was great and the atmosphere was nice, a little loud, but hey that means they were busy and the food is popular!
There wasn't a whole bunch of people there which was nice. The food was really good this time around. People don't know this but the have a secret very hot green salsa for your chips, but you have to ask for it. I got the combo fajitas and put that sauce on them. Everything was pretty filling. The size of the chicken tortilla soup was big👍 and overall a great price on everything. I would definitely make this place a regular go to for sure since I just live down the road. Our waitress was amazing as well. Thanks Maudie's for a good time!! See you again soon! I do have to say there were a lot of kids there, but we managed to sit away from all that. 🙏
My work friends and I meet up for lunch once a month and this is our go-to destination. They love the margaritas (I don’t drink), and the food is consistently good. We almost always sit outside because it’s got nice accommodations with a water feature. Heat lamps and the patio is completely covered. The inside seating is extremely loud and just not a nice atmosphere. The inside whole entry of that restaurant is odd and looks like they decided not to decorate that part. Anyway, I always enjoy the food, and the service is hit or miss but we aren’t in a hurry so no real complaints. My complaint is with the families that bring their feral children that we sit and watch the kids dig around in the water feature and rip out the plants and lily pads. It really irks be as it was my very best friend who designed and installed that feature and if he saw all the times the kids just rooting around in it, destroying his thoughtful work, he’d be sick. Last weekend when we were there, 4 boys were really doing some damage so I asked a server to make them stop as their lazy parents just sat and watched the destruction of that feature. We were so disgusted and disappointed in that large table of ADULTS did nothing to control their entitled 6-7 yo boys. 🤷🏻♀️
Great restuarant! Great food. Go here!
Overall it’s a really good experience we ordered a few drinks and I didn’t have a problem with them but some of the party did and the staff was very quick to correct the issue. And no problem going above and beyond trying to correct the issue (offering free shots). The food was good, drinks were good in my opinion, the staff had fast service. Great option, nothing bad to say here.
Love the “skinny” Tex Mex menu. Lighter versions of quality dishes with under 500 calorie count. Not an option you see too often at Mexican restaurants. Kudos to Maudie’s. I recommend the shrimp tacos!

I went to Maudie's Tex Mex for dinner with a few friends. We were all looking for a casual place to get some good Tex-Mex food and drinks.
The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the enchiladas, the fajitas, and the quesadillas. Everything was cooked well, but it was a little on the bland side.
The service was friendly, but slow. We had to wait a long time for our food to come out, water refills, drinks, plates, and for our final check. We were unfortunately seated on the back room near the glass sliding doors and it was VERY warm and there were no fans in the room
Overall, I would say that Maudie's Tex Mex is a decent place to go for a casual meal. The drinks are great, but the food is just okay. The service is friendly, but slow. and that backroom against the glass doors is certainly much too uncomfortable to enjoy a whole meal

I enjoy going to Maudie’s with my daughter and her family. At times we go for brunch. I enjoy their sweet potato hash, and their gluten-free chips and salsa. There skinny Margarita is great as well!
In a world where prices are continuing to go up... this place... not only serves the best dang Tex-Mex Food around but also is extremely affordable. I can't tell you how great it is to do curbside orders and spend less than $12 on Carnitas tacos with rice and beans. Everywhere else it's like 18 dollars for two tacos which are subpar then they make you pay $8 for a side of rice and beans on top of it... but not here! I have ordered the same thing every time I come here at least once every two weeks if not more often for just their salsa and gluten free chips alone. There is no comparison to this place. There other food is fantastic I just love their carnitas tacos so much I get them every time I come in.
As far as service goes... again it's excellent... though I have had a few to go orders forget a side of salsa or extra tortillas but I check the orders and call them right back and they bring out the items right to my car in a hurry. However, every time I go in to sit down and eat and order the service is snappy and fast. The food is hot and fresh, and as far as when the bill comes I don't think it's ever exceeded $75 even when me and three other people get a ton of food, apps like Guac, Queso, then full meal plates, and drinks on top of it.
Drinks.... dear lord the drinks... really good, and again really affordable. Cocktails that aren't nearly as good as Maudie's at other restaurants around the area are like $15 starting and go up from there. I usually get the Bee-O-Wolf and it's awesome, their mezcal line up is also great too. Anything with Mezcal in it is bound to be great anyway, but it's great that there cocktails are sub $9-$10 and not steakhouse pricing and terrible.
I will continue to come here for a long time coming. Peace!! -DD
Maudie’s hill country has an excellent patio with plenty of seating and a sunset from the Mariposa room & balcony is a real treat for special events. The food is consistent and good standard Tex-Mex fare but I think their stand out menu items are the breakfast tacos, specifically Pete’s Tantalizing Tacos. My other favorite here is the Poblano Creama Enchildas. I can’t leave out the classic frozen margaritas either with plenty of swirl-in flavor options such as Prickly Pear. They have a lot of choices all across their menu and it’s hard to go wrong with any of them. Don’t sleep on the Diablo Sol Food queso!
Food and margaritas were on point, came out quick too. The server was knowledgeable and friendly, made some solid suggestions when asked for them and never let our drinks get too low. Great meal and time.
Ordered a power bowl, 3 banana pancakes, 2 egg potato and cheese Tacos, and a short stack. Jason was our server, and he was excellent! Food was great, prices are fair, service is amazing and timely. Portions will not leave you hungry!
The food is just as good as the south Austin location!! I love it. This is my favorite Tex Mex spot in TX !! My faves are the nachos and enchiladas !!
Food is great, employees are great. Only thing I run in to is when I order to go I’m almost always missing something when I get home. Now I always double check my to go bag.
Great tex-mex foods. Tried the Taco Fajitas and the dish did not disappoint. Each taco came with a lot of fajitas meat. Pro tip: go during happy hour and their appetizers came with generous portions.
Excellent in every respect - friendly staff who go out of the way to provide an experience, great food, and fantastic indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. The food was fresh ( got the shrimp pineapple tacos) and guacamole - and it was a delight. Loved the chips and salsa which was complimentary and was excited to see a low calorie menu option for those trying to watch their figures. The parking was plentiful and it was easy to get in and out of the parking area in what is a very highly traveled area. The menu had a bit of something for everyone!
Marty's is a Austin tradition. You just can't go wrong. The food is always consistently good and the service this time was impeccable.
The takeout ritas are awesome🤠! Great job of survival bar tactics. I am a fan.
The bar staff exceeds all expectations! The drinks are creative and unique. I love the stephanie Jane- a prickly pear rita with agave nectar- skinney rita. You might also ask about the "breakfast beer" maudie version of a michelada but this is a lime, worcherstershire, and cholula added to your favorite brew
