In the 3yrs I’ve been here in Austin, I’ve probably dined at Tuk Tuk Thai restaurant over a hundred times. I go through my favorites rotation of fried rice, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew or Tom Yum Goong soup for the cold/rainy days. But what fan would I be if don’t try their full selection? So I decided on a quest to try EVERY single item on their menu that I haven’t had before. For tonight’s visit I opted for their Pla Lad Prik chef’s special and ohhhhhh mmyyyyyy goodness!!! I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this delicious concoction all this time! I rarely step outside of my own personal norms so me trying something new really really paid off this time! The lightly battered boneless tilapia fillet was fried to golden perfection and drowned in curry sauce with bell peppers and jalapeño. I’m not even embarrassed to share I ended up consuming 3 scoops of rice. This family owned restaurant goes above and beyond to continuously and consistently provide not only soul satisfying food, but genuine and world class service as well. This crispy fish in a sauce dish reminds me so much of my Papa’s Escabeche cooking. Thank you Tuk Tuk Thai for being a piece of home away from home for me <3<3<3
Even my fortune is on point tonight: “Don’t worry about the stock market. Invest in family.”
I love this place so much. The people who run it are so sweet and accommodating and the food is fabulous. I have a gluten allergy and they always bend over backward to make sure my food is safe. The prices are great, large portion sizes and they deliver!!

I absolutely LOVE this place and the individuals that work there. They have the best spring rolls in Austin and the peanut/tamarind sauce that comes with them is to die for!
I have been ordering from TukTuk for a long time. The staff knows me by name. I always bring friends here if we're tired after work, but want to meet for food. Love the Thai tea. Apps are great, although still not brave enough to try the pickles and cheese wonton. Love the Tom Kha Gai (coconut soup), Presentation in house is great although I wouldn't eat it alone from the fire pot, but I love it delivered when I'm sick. Pad Thai, DWI noodles, Red or yellow curry, or the stir fries are the best. I do like the vermicelli noodles if I want something lighter. They can add or delete anything. I had a friend add the fried chicken from a dish to his curry rather than the sliced chicked. Staff feels like family. If you want delivery, better make it when you think about it. They get hopping in the evening. Love you Tuk Tuk!! And BYOB!!!
They have amazing dumplings (dare to say the best in ATX). Excellent service and flavorful food (the kai soi was amazing)
Great food, great prices and amazing service! This family owned and operated business will definitely impress. Our go to Thai- no question!
The food is delicious, from the appetizer, salad, main dish.
I recommend that everyone try the bacon wrapped jalapeño shrimp egg roll, this appetizer is in my all time top 5 !!!!!
The food and the staff were amazing!!! My new go to Thai place!!!
The food was delicious. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The owner was the sweetest and I will definitely go back with friends and family.
Great food and great service. There during lunch and had quick service.
WONDERFUL authentic Thai food, large portions, great service and super friendly staff! I love this place. It is my favorite Lunch getaway!
Best Thai? No? Fastest? No -- but in Austin, not New York, not Chicago, LA whatever -- this place is great. I'd say it's that they don't overkill everything with cream or oil... just mad flava :-)
Great food and fast delivery. All the curries are great, pad thai is excellent.
Great food at an awesome price and the staff is always very professional and friendly. I will keep coming back for sure.
Probably the best shrimp spring rolls ever. The staff was attentive and service was fast.

I love server
Owner very nice people!
I love Tuk Tuk
We love it here! It was highly recommended by a good friend months ago and we can't stop coming in...lunch, dinner...every dish I've had is fresh and delicious! Everyone who works here is also amazing! Very friendly, great customer service and a nice atmosphere.
Super friendly service with tasty ingredients. This was my first time to visit, but it won't be my last! They also have a subsection of the menu that guarantees to be ready in 15 minutes or less...great for anyone that is under a time crunch for lunch.
Excellent Thai food! The noodles were cooked to perfection, not mushy like so many other Thai restaurants. The egg roll was obviously fresh rolled and cooked perfectly - not the usual frozen stuff served by Chinese restaurants. I had the Pad Thai chicken which was wonderful! My companion had the beef noodle soup and reported it was also excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Very good Thai food here. Highly recommend coming here. I really enjoyed the yellow curry and the masaman curry. Egg rolls are delicious also.
Wasn't a big fan of Thai food until I came here and had the drunken noodles very good. since then they have updated the menu added some new stuff and kept some of the old stuff drunken noodles now the dwi noodles haha. No complaints it's cozy feels like home cooking Thai style. the owners are also super nice and very friendly.
Good Thai. Small dinky place near Crockett High, but the food is amazing. We had Pad Thai, chicken pa nang w brown rice, and sticky rice with mango. Entrees were generous and very tasty! Great price! Sticky rice needed more of the coconut sweet stuff. Overall, South Austin has a shortage of THAI food! Let's get more Thai & not another Indian or Chinese! Huge difference, eat THAI!
Best Pad Thai, so good. Although they still have some seating, it's really a take out place at this place. The staff is really friendly and helpful. They also do a great job of under promise over deliver on the turn around time. 30-35 minutes, 25 minutes later.. food is ready. Full disclosure I've only ordered Phad Thai here but its incredible. I've heard from more adventurous eaters that the rest of menu is just as good.
I’m so glad I got to try this Thai restaurant here in Austin. I bought their pork pad krapow, pad see ew, and mango sticky rice. Pad krapow definitely hit the spot, totally would order that again. The pad see ew was a bit salty for my liking, but the dessert was such good value!
A little hole in wall, great Thai food!
It's take out only but there's a place you can sit. Owners and staff are super nice! Food was delicious! And dessert was also delicious. We had the pad thai, beef noodle soup and steamed coconut rice. 10/10
Very good Thai at a decent price. Bonus for staff being extra friendly and helpful when you order take out. We will come back next time we are in town. For those wondering— we felt like the spice levels were on the spicier side. 1-2 were mild, 3 was hot, 4 was too much for us, can’t imagine what 5 is.
This is probably my favorite Thai place in Austin. The food is really good, and for a great price. The staff is super friendly, and they even have a little shop inside.
I typically get their Tom Ka, which in my opinion, is the best thing on the menu. Everything I've tried from here is delicious though. I highly recommend this place.
Food is wonderful. I’m only sorry that they don’t do full service anymore and it’s only takeout. They have the best fried tofu anywhere! All of their food is fresh and homemade and delicious.
Had the best experience with Tuk Tuk recently and wanted to be sure to leave a stellar review. My friend and I had lunch here and the food was delicious all around! My car battery died while I was there and then my phone battery was running low so they graciously offered me a phone charger and also to jump my car (had already tried with my friend and subsequently called a tow company). I felt so supported and they truly did not need to go so far out of their way to offer to help me. As I was waiting, another customer came in to pick up her food and said she lives north but this is her favorite Thai restaurant. Everyone needs to visit Tuk Tuk asap!
Great food, very flavorful! Very friendly people.
They accommodate adjustments to make it Vegan. Reasonable prices and good portions.
This is a take out place, but you can order and eat at the few tables they have.
After moving to Austin from Singapore, I had been in search of good quality Thai food. The mains were great and the dessert tasted just like Kaya Jam with sticky rice! Out of this world. Can’t recommend it enough.
Best Thai Food I’ve had in TX so far…and I’ve been searching. Had Chicken Pad Thai, And TomKa, and Crab Rangoon. All tasty! Excellent service too. Right now they only serve food in Togo boxes but you can eat at tables no prob. They also have a little Thai Market so you can stock up on ingredients if you wanna cook Thai yourself! Very cute.
