Food was good. Not exceptional but I think exactly what you look for at an ice house. The onion rings were very good. Good hamburgers and fried chicken. Same with the atmosphere. Comfortable and casual. Plenty of seats for large and small parties. Service was excellent. Friendly and welcoming.

Waiter was friendly but took a while to get everything we asked for. Was too busy showing co worker something on his phone. But other than that it was fine. It was hot in the restaurant so it was a little uncomfortable. Food was good.

First time in Austin and this place was a great choice for breakfast! Stopped by on a Sunday before it got too busy and Dawson took good care of us. The French toast was absolutely amazing with the cinnamon glaze it comes with. The pancakes were perfect. The hash browns were nice and crispy. We loved everything! Everyone was so nice and helpful. We will stop by again on our next trip to Austin. Thanks again.

Loved the Avocado toast just needed a little more kick to them. The chicken and waffles were pretty basic.

Hands down one of my all time favorites! Every burger I've had is absolutely amazing, especially when paired with a cold beer. It's a laid back atmosphere and we even hung out during our last visit to watch the end of a college football game. If you're looking for a spot to enjoy a meal at an affordable price, it doesn't get much better than Waterloo!

I was in Austin visiting family for Thanksgiving & my family took me there for lunch. I had chicken fried steak & it was delicious. The holiday margarita was awesome & the service was amazing. When visiting Austin again, I will definitely go back!!! I live in Los Angeles

A great experience to have. The place is fairly large with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff makes you feel at home. The food was delicious and includes breakfast as well. Give it a try, I'm sure you will think it was worth the trip.

The staff was so friendly. I ordered the veggie hash and a pecan pancake. I asked for a few modifications on my hash and they got everything right. I asked for my eggs to be hard scrambled and the vegetables to be cooked for a longer amount of time. I like soft sautéed veggies. The potatoes were not crispy which was a little disappointing but it was not a big deal. Everything was delicious the veggies were very tasty. The pancake was good but I think the batter was a little bit too sweet for me. I think they should add the pecans to the batter and not just to the top. The pancake was good though if you have a sweet tooth this is the way to go!!!

Visited on 2.9.23: Stopped by here with coworkers for dinner. I tried the cup of chili, and it was really good, along with chips and dips, to share with the crew. The hot sauce, queso, and quac were all good. The bacon cheddar burger with egg was ok. Ended with the chocolate chip milk cake that was ok. It was decent all around for me. Waitress was great and very attentive.

Absolutely fantastic food. The staff here is also amazing. It's both a must-see place if you're visiting Austin but it's absolutely a routine go to place for good quality food. I'm not in Austin very much anymore but it is definitely one of my regular stops

We come to Waterloo every week and we always look forward to seeing Will behind the bar. It’s such a better experience and gives us relief when we see him behind the bar. We know we will be provided appropriate bar service. Will is a great bartender! Everyone should come and see him. If you want a great efficient bar experience he’s yr guy.

This is a place full of regulars as the employees seemed to know the first name of each person who walked in the door. Was surprised by how delicious and fresh my hummus platter came out and you can't beat a $4 happy hour margarita. Friendly and helpful staff plus an interesting menu of healthy options, nothing over $20. Atmosphere has a dated vibe, perhaps even dive bar-ish.

Pretty decent food, had counter service when we were there. We were able to get some keto friendly meals, but they kinda got the orders wrong on the first try. They did correct them with no problem.

Sarah and her entire team did a really great job tonight of taking care of the Austin Gay Men’s Chorus for our Pre-Rehearsal Happy Hour and Dinner!! The food and atmosphere were also great, thank you!! We’ll definitely be back!! :)

Dined during lunch on Thursday... I can't believe I've never eaten here! Passed by it probably a thousand times, but just never stopped in. Don't make the same mistake as me!!! The food here is top-notch. I had the umami turkey burger & this was the best dang turkey burger I've ever had!! The sweet potato waffle fries were so addictive and tasted as if they were fried in a brand new fryer & batch of oil. You know how when you go to a new joint and get something fried and it's like "WHOA! Never knew fried could taste fresh" ?? It was like that. The staff was so, so friendly, they were just incredible. I feel like I've been totally missing out. Can't wait to return!!!

Old school Austin feel on Burnet Rd. Some regional standards and some with Mexican flavors. Decor has old west/old Austin feel. Patio, full bar. Self seating and attentive service with TVs around for any sports. Would go here often after soccer games. Low key and chill vibe.
