Pok-e-jo's Smokehouse - Austin - Photo album

Great service, BBQ, and sweet BBQ sauce, but I wasn't a fan of the beans or lemonade. Something about the taste was off on the beans and the lemonade was not my favorite. The Texas toast was perfect. For spending so much money, I really want the food to be fantastic. I loved the ambiance, though
The food is delicious. I especially like their broccoli salad. The brisket is pretty good as well, and the different sauces are very tasty. The servers are nice. The layout of the tables seems nice, although I ordered take-out. The food is comparable to other BBQ restaurants that charge more. If yo
Yesterday I passed up many barbecue restaurants and drove to Pokejoes on Parmer 8.6 miles away. I ordered a special meal for relatives who had moved Michigan. They were suffering from an acute case of Texas barbecue deprivation. I treated them with brisket, ribs, sausage, beans, okra, potato
Ordered meat plate. Ribs are ok but brisket is not juicy. It seems the briskets were stored for too long that all the juices are gone. Slaw tastes good. The good part is the toast bread is butter seared, unlike other bbq joints just carelessly toss you a few slices from supermarket toast bags.
This place is wonderful. All food on display. All the sides you need for a great BBQ dinner. Great moist ribs perfectly seasoned. Outstanding brisket potato with chunks of meat. Mac and Cheese on point. Brisket sandwich the Bomb! Definitely love coming here. I've tried it all so just know whatever y
Brisket is always nice and moist, and the chicken tender. And both consistently seasoned perfectly.  I find the potato salad to taste great, but often there are pieces of potato that really should have been cut smaller.  We also enjoy the mac and cheese. Our only disappointment is the peach cobbler.
Best BBQ in Austin. We have tried many around the area and even the hyped up spots but nothing is as good as Pok-E-Jo’s. Service is amazing and great portions for the price. The customer service has gone up. They already had great customer service but now they go around tending to people and making
Did a to go order and the meat cutter was very courteous and repeated my order, as did the woman who asked me about my sides. Y’all have stepped the game up with the great food and service today. Brisket, links and ribs were nice today. Keep up the good work
Phenomenal, would highly recommend! Went here on our first trip to Texas with my son and not only was the food super tasty, it was very affordable and the staff was kind enough to speak to us about our experience in Texas for the first time! Some of the kindest people we’ve met in Texas so far and t
They are a perfect 4 on everything. They are good if not the best. Tried brisket, ribs, coleslaw, fried okra and potato salad. I like the night lighting inside. Felt warm and great inside.
Great local spot.. ribs were great, the jalapeño cheese sausage was not as what I expected but still flavorful. Fried okra and fries were actually delicious. Spicy bbq sauce is a definite to try. Service was great and fast. Interior decor could use a little bit of sprucing up. For a 2 meat plate I h
Actually, I don't go out in the public since the pandemic, but September is my birth month and I had a need for Pok-E-Jo's Chopped Beef on Bun with a shot of that special sauce and it was like a Revelation of how much I have missed. I'm happy my daughter enjoyed having lunch there. We will all spot
You can smell the goodness as you’re pulling up to the parking lot. Friendly faces with great service. It’s the moist brisket and smoked chicken for me! But I really fell in love with their cornbread. Don’t skip on dessert, I highly recommend the banana pudding!
First time coming here and I have to say it is really really good. The service was excellent. I ordered a 2 meat plate with 2 sides. I got the pulled pork and regular sausage. I chose potato salad and mac & cheese as my sides. Their BBQ sauce had the tangieness I love. Paired well with the sausage.
The stuffed baked potato w/ sliced beef was very good. This is a local BBQ place with lots of friendly staff and pretty decent, lean yet tasty beef brisket. They have a pickle bar w/ fixings fans a catering window as well. Friendly staff. First time visitor card for discount.
Always love the food at this location!
Had to try a BBQ spot while in Austin, have to say I was not disappointed. Service was great. I was treated to a new comers punch card. Had the brisket and pulled pork with Mac and cheese. Was well worth the visit. If your in Austin give Pok-E-Jo’s a visit you won’t be disappointed.
Amazing brisket!!! First time here!!! Everyone was so nice and accommodating and explained the menu.
