So good! Love the waitstaff. Very kind, happy people. My favorite dish is the General Tso's tofu. My wife loves the buddhas delight. The food is tasty, well cooked, and satisfying.

I order delivery from Hunan Lion pretty often, I love that they're always fast, friendly and very tasty food. I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 30 minutes for delivery. And my picky 15 month old daughter LOVES the steamed veggies, so that's definitely a bonus!
We always get great service when we visit. & the food is always delicious! Lunch specials are nice.
Got some delivery from Hunan Lion. Everything was tasty...both soups were well-seasoned and had on-point flavors, the chicken wings were good(but probably even better if eaten via dine-in) and the beef/chicken egg rolls were awesome. Out of many places I have tried, Hunan Lion is the most consistent/good.

Excellent service. Food was savory, authentic, fresh. Pretty decent portions. Egg drop soup and hot and sour soup were rich and umami. The establishment itself was clean, the ambiance warm and inviting. Not only was our server fast and attentive, two other managers or maybe the owner(?) also checked on us. Definitely gonna come back again and try other items on the menu!
Oh also! Extremely affordable. We ordered an appetizer and 3 lunch specials. Total came out to $37. Even with food inflation, it was impressive to say the least how affordable it was.
Went to pick it up and they people were so kind. I asked for duck sauce which they didn’t have but they gave me their homemade sweet and sour sauce. The hot and sour soup was great. No weird things floating in it. The general tso tofu was a lot more soggy than I’d like. Usually it’s fried and then has sauce on it but this just tasted baked. The fried rice was good. Prices were more reasonable that others.
This place is great! I started ordering to go from here a couple of months ago, and literally everything I’ve ordered has been so delicious! The service is great, I’m always greeted right away. My food is always hot, and it doesn’t take them long to prepare meals. I definitely recommend and will be returning!
I’ve only taken food to- go but either way the food is great and always piping hot and fresh. The service is ALWAYS great- every person Ive dealt with in person or over the phone is kind, efficient and thorough. They always get my order right and never forget the sauces/utensils, etc… Price is nice and the serving size is good too. I love this place and all of its employees.
Love this place! Love the decor and vibe of this restaurant. We ordered the orange sauce chicken, general chicken, and lo mein. The food was tasty, warm, and full of flavor. I also ordered the eggrolls and they were so flaky and delicious.
Not bad at all for a quick lunch special. For lunch they give you a good quantity of food with soup and a couple of fried sides. Quick, flavourful and not too stuffy - just good enough to recharge for the rest of the day. Only $11!

I've eaten here twice this week. Once for takeout and once for dine-in. ALL of it is consistently good and the service is phenomenal. EAT HERE; you won't be disappointed.
I don't order to-go very often as I like to dine-in when I can, but sometimes I'll find myself DoorDashing something in a pinch and one of the most popular spots on the app in Austin is Hunan Lion.
Their most popular dish is the Sesame Chicken ($14) and for good reason: it's delicious! It's simple and gets the job done. It comes with rice and is a very filling meal when it's all said and done.
What else is there to say? I had an amazing, quick experience and was highly satisfied. I give em a 4.5/5!
Food is so delicious! Dine in closes at 9 p.m. but to go is until 10 p.m. even though we went late, they were so nice to us. Food is a great price and the waitress kept giving us a lot of rice, lol. Such a kind and wholesome environment, will be coming back! :D
A very good Chinese place in a strip mall. I had the Mala Duck and it was all pretty tender breast meat with only a few tougher places. The brown sauce trended more towards sweet than spicy, and the vegetables had a good crunch to them. Eggrolls are good, too. Not earth shattering, but worth grabbing if you want a little something extra.
The food was wonderful. Service was great. The cream cheese puffs were perfect, just cream cheese and wontons, fried just right. The beef lo mein was a bit too spicy, but everything else was good.
It is a small place with a lot of flavors… really good tasting!!! The waiter was really nice and sweet… nice place, good prices and excellent food
Cooked to perfection! I got a Happy Family and Chicken and Broccoli. Both dishes were delicious. The sauce was tasty on both dishes. They also gave me a lot rice, they didn’t hold back. I grew up in my grandfather’s Chinese restaurant and I also worked at 3 different P.F. Chang’s. So I’m a super tuff critic when it come to Chinese food. Hunan Lion gets 5 stars from me tonight for getting it right and making me one delicious dinner.
