I have dined at this place many times.  The service is average, the food is good, the owners are nice.  They are providing healthy food at low prices.

I don't know if it's because I'm not Vietnamese, but their service was garbage. Do they resent people who only speak Vietnamese? Food was good, even though it was the wrong food. Just make sure to be assertive I guess.

Very good pho! The spring rolls were actually spring rolls (not fried), which was refreshing and surprising. The staff was friendly and my glass of water was always at least half full (fast service!). There was one gristly piece of meat in the chicken spring roll, but other than that, the food was really good. I'll likely eat here again!

Some of the best pho I've had. I've been to (literally) every corner of the US already this year and always try the pho wherever I am. I admittedly choose places at random but Pho Van is definitely in the top two I've had. The pho tai with fresh springs rolls is an excellent meal and the prices are very good for Austin. Must try.

Until pho van I had never tried Vietnamese food. That was 3 years ago and now I crave the pho. I got lucky because I've been to other pho restaurants after Van and realize my first experience was the best hands down.

Good quick, cheap lunch.. Just went to Pho Van for the first time for lunch today. I live in Round Rock, and despite there being many Vietnamese restaurants there, none offer Banh Mi for some reason. So, to north Austin I must drive.

What everyone says about the friendly waitress is true - this was my first time and she hugged me!

Pho Van's banh mi was wonderful - crusty bread (that I wish I knew where they found it - all the bread I find in Texas is uncrusty), savory/sweet charbroiled pork, crisp, fresh vegetables - delicious! My only complaint was I wish it had a little fish sauce or seasoned mayonaise on it like some banh mi have - it was a little dry. Also, the vegetables aren't pickled like some banh mi, although this didn't really bother me. I also had the avocado shake, and it was good - I'm not a huge sweets fan, so I'll probably skip that next time.

I hope to go back and try some of the other things on their menu. Oh, and one reviewer said they don't take credit cards - this isn't true - I paid with my Visa card.

Really hard not to like this spot. They are speedy, the food is traditional, and you can eat here for so cheap that you almost feel guilty about it. The staff is nice and parking is abundant. The pho ga is fab.

Get the brocolli pho!. The only vegetable pho they offer is brocolli pho. It's really good, lots of pieces of raw brocolli dropped into the hot broth and immediately served to your table.

Really tasty and served up really fast...

Great pho and really amazing strawberry milkshake! Tasted pretty standard and came out very quickly. Everything looked and tasted fresh. You get a good portion of brisket in the small bowl compared to a lot of places which is really nice. The place itself feels like I'm in The Backrooms but as long as the food is good and the place is clean (which it is) I don't mind.

I have been living in the Middle East and perhaps because this was the first pho that I've had for several years, I found it to be extraordinarily delicious. I had the chicken soup with noodles and used all of the herbs and sprouts they brought to me. While the food was good, the staff communicated an attitude of indifference to me. Perhaps they've become hardened over the years and don't care about customer relations as much as they used to. It just seemed like they were only occasionally pretending to be friendly, at best, and at worst somewhat contemptuous.

The pho is good, the staff is friendly, the restaurant could use a little upgrade, however I enjoyed the time I was there. The Vietnamese coffee was good also.

Y1 - Pho Bo Kho (beef stew) taste really good and the bread is amazing. But can’t say much about the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Pho Van is simply the best! I was a fan of Pho until my husband brought me here! I get N22 (no meat) and it’s always the BEST! If you’re ever not feeling great come here! This broth will revive you! Very hearty, clean and delicious!

This is easily one of our favorite lunch spots in Austin. It's hard to find a good Bahn mi sandwich (think pork, fresh herbs, hearty bread) and the won ton soup is sublime! We crave it often!

It's a simple no frills place. We got pho, fresh tofu rolls and tofu bahn mi. The food came out quite fast. The tofu rolls came with a peanut sweet salty sauce which was a good accompaniment to the rolls. The pho and bahn mi were tasty and filling. The ingredients felt fresh. The beef pho broth was full of flavor. I have had better bahn mi, the bread was not to my liking but the tofu tasted good.

Pho Van serves good pho, bánh mi, and dumplings. They’re generally consistent with their food quality as well; there’s only been one or two times when something was a little off. Although Austin isn’t known for their Asian food, this spot doesn’t disappoint. The place is very no-frills with a super basic interior. The service is similar—nice but straight to the point. I definitely recommend coming by and trying out a few of the dishes.

This place slaps. They've had the same sweet lady as a server forever. Even if this place sucked I'd still go because of her.... But it doesn't, I love everything I've ever had but lean towards pho with meatballs, vermicelli with chicken and egg rolls and Vietnamese iced coffee. Their Bahn mi sandwiches used to be a steal for 5 bucks but like everything else, prices have gone up a bit. I don't care. I'll go here until I die of peripheral neuropathy. Is that possible? Feels like it. P. S. Here's a pic of a feral cat I feed on top of my girlfriend's car.

I came in for lunch with my girlfriend, and we both had Pho and shrimp springs rolls. The service was great. The server was quick to give us water and take our order. Food was out in a reasonable time. Everything tasted great. My gf only had one comment about how the peanut sauce didn't have much peanut flavor.

Pho Van has been a staple of mine for over a decade. Their pho is good, not the best in town but solid and dependable. Where they shine are their banh mis. In particular their grilled pork and their combination. I am knocking it down one star though because the prices have gone up almost double. I understand the downturned economy plays a big part but I still think it's a little pricey compared to others with similar or better food.

Not having ever traveled to Vietnam I don't know authentic Vietnamese food but, the food was great and delicious. The service was attentive to any request I had like no peanut sauce, extra savory sauce for my entrée. My drink never came close to being empty. So, this place was great

Good food. Large portions. Definitely not a place to go to if you're unfamiliar with the cuisine. Great dumplings and egg rolls.

The price is fantastic. Soups and variety of menu is excellent. Delicious Bahn mi sandwich, bread is always soft with a crispy crust. I would come more often if it was closer to home.

**Not all Authentic Vietnamese restaurants need numbers in their name.** TLDR: This place hit quality, price AND service. Stumbled upon this place with a good friend who has never had Pho before and they finished a LARGE Pho Tai, broth and all. I ordered the same thing and it was top notch. Ordered 2 Banh Mí Cha Lua with pate to-go and those hit the spot as well. I made the mistake of not getting an itemized receipt to expense and the staff was able to send me a link to my receipt so I could download it for my travel expenses. Super cool that they could do this.
