I'm tempted to give 4 stars due to not using proper breakfast sausage, but the rest of the ingredients are great, and there are plenty of them. Tacos are very consistent and you get exactly what is advertised. Service is outstanding as well.
I love this place. I've been about 30 times now, as it's about a mile from my place, but I'm happy that a gourmet taco house opened up closer to me, and the prices aren't $4 a taco. I'm a fan of Torchy's and Taco Deli, but I appreciate the value of Kesos a bit more as their tacos are slighly bigger and less expensive.
I've tried just about everything on the menu, and my favorites change between the Barton Springs, ACL, Deep Eddie, and others.
The jalapeno salsa is the only one I will order, and it is similar to the Taco Deli green, creamy, hot salsa. I usually ask for a few more than i need so I can throw it onto breakfast tacos I make at home, or on a salad, or sometimes I just take it as a shot in the morning to clear my sinuses.
This is place is a bit of a hidden gem with an excellent menu of pretty unique recipes. Staff are very welcoming and happy you're there. These tacos are also large; some come in at more of a burrito size. Chips & queso are an awesome addition to any meal. The SRV mural is amazing.
I stop here regularly as it's really close to my apartment. Great prices. Big fan of the Red River taco and jalepeno salsa but everything I've had has been good. In theory, one taco here could be a meal but I always end up ordering two because they're delicious.
Kesos is my favorite place to get breakfast tacos in Austin! It is dangerously close to my house and I love it. I've only ever been here for the breakfast tacos, so I can't comment on the lunch, but holy moly are the breakfast tacos amazing. You can get your standard egg and whatever else OR you can try the specialty tacos. My personal favorite is the bike lane. Chorizo, refried beans, egg and potatoes plus the avocado sauce...yum! Their convenient location right off S. Congress make it a great place to stop on your morning commute! Highly recommended!
Great little neighborhood taco joint. The Sixth St plate is a good introduction to their non-breakfast tacos.
As for their breakfast tacos, you can never go wrong with eating something named The Triple Oinker to start your day.
I enjoyed it and will return. Unlike these other turds leaving 2 or 3 starred reviews for the taco presentation. Like seriously guys it's a taco spot with delicious food and you're worried about the how the taco is built.
Amazing tacos. Incredibly fresh and great combinations of ingredients. The queso is a white cheese so very different from anywhere else. This will be a regular stop whenever we are in this part of Austin.
Buenísimo. Fresh, full of flavor. Only wish the tortillas were a bit more of an "hechas en casa" style. I'll ask them to toast them up next time for a mo' better experience. 😊
Only the best tacos place in town. My advise order all the pork tacos you will thank me for it. ;p Enjoy and you are welcome.
Awesome breakfast tacos, I recommend everything on their menu. Service is fast but you might want to call ahead depending on how hungry you are.
I love this little Taco joint! They are my fav! The service is quick and accurate, the staff is friendly and the food is so yummy!!
Great fresh combinations used in the tacos. Bring your appetite. Big and tasty servings.
Great tacos with a clever selection of ingredients.
Some good hot sauce bar options as well.
Huge portions and delicious! Would highly recommend to anyone that loves tacos.
