Sazon - Austin - Photo album

Awesome authentic Mexican food in an authentic South Austin Mom & Pop restaurant. Everything we’ve had on the menu is excellent, people are always so friendly, margaritas are perfect and chips and salsa are spot-on. Love this place.
Old school Tex-mex… This is classic Austin Texas-mex, the interior is pretty much what it used to be back when, as is the menu, and quite probably the prices too. Nothing that’ll blow you away, but all happily satisfying.
Been a few years since I went, but food is still tasty. I love their mole sauce and queso. Friendly service and tasty drinks. Only downside is the interior is a bit dark and dim but nice enough patio
Family owned and run, delicious Tex-Mex. The salsa is the best, and the man knows how to create a sauce (their mole is my favorite). The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxing, and it is a great place to watch the game. The margaritas are great, as well. 😋
First time here, had zero expectations. For a late Saturday afternoon, it was empty. I was surprised. Sometimes that is a foretelling of the food/quality. Not this time, thankfully I had queso for starters. It was okay. I could take it or leave it. I wound up ordering one of their specials of the
Sazon is definitely a favorite! Comfortable Latin decor, delicious food and friendly service creates a pleasant dining experience. Traditional Mexican dishes and Central American dishes. Pay a visit here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You won’t be disappointed. Excellent bar, covered patio. Parkin
One of the best spots in town! The Chile en Nogada is the best in town hands down. Only problem is it’s a seasonal dish so get it while you can.
Food was delicious, as a Hispanic point of view. Even the tortillas are hand made 😍
Our waiter was so awesome. Food was great, coffee was great, drinks were great. Sides and appetizers were great. Enough said.
Super friendly service. Awesome food, really good Mexican martinis and frozen margaritas here. Treating yourself here won’t break the bank!
I honestly loved it...I got to eat chile en nogada for the first time ever and it was great. Their rice is flavorful, margaritas were only 5 bux. Not great for vegetarians?
This place is truly a hidden gem. I've passed by this restaurant numerous times, but one day, I noticed it and was intrigued. My wife and I went to it that night, and will definitely go back with friends in the future. Great food, great price, great service, and an ambience that several restaurants
We've been to Sazon several times, tried different dishes, and it's always outstanding! The servers have always been very nice and helpful too.
Somehow I’ve never been to Sazon until tonight, but I will be back. The food was so good and the service was incredible. Thank you for a wonderful night.
Low key atmosphere with delicious food! One of the best Salsas in town.
Sazon is more interior Mexican food than texmex, and it's pretty damn good. The chicken mole and cochinita pibil are both excellent dishes. I like going to Sazon because it reminds me of South Lamar 20 years ago... and shows up in the building look and feel. Prices are still reasonable here as well.
Really nice people will let me use the bathroom when I needed it bad. I would like to say that the bathroom‘s really clean and the staff there are very friendly and accommodating that’s all I know.
