Soooo good & open later then most Asian spots! Definitely worth it! Lots of menu options, clean environment & knowledgeable staff Gabriel is great ask for him. I was also greeted by the owner Phoenix super sweet & cares abt her customers experience. I’ll definitely be back to try more sushi options & the spicy cucumber noodles. 🍜 **Also the Asian nachos were an amazing appetizer.

We absolutely loved this place! The food was phenomenal- the pancake sliders were our favorite and the milk tea actually tasted like tea, not just milk and sugar. I could’ve sat there all day because the atmosphere is very pleasant with nice music, an elegant mural, and a lovely view. Our server was also friendly and attentive, hearing one of us drop a chopstick and being ready with a fresh pair. A big bonus is the parking lot out back which isn’t a guarantee in that area. I’m so glad we went here and we would absolutely go back!

Sweet Chive has three menus - a Taiwanese menu, a Japanese menu, and a drink menu. I highly recommend anything off the Taiwanese menu as the owner is Taiwanese, but you can’t go wrong with anything here. My favorite dish was the Spicy Chili Wontons, the chili oil they are served in is amazing. The Pork Jian Jious are crispy with flavorful and soft pork on the inside. I also got the Beef Noodle Soup while my friend got the Pork Belly Noodles. Both were great main dishes with tender meat and excellent broth. I would love if they had spicy options of these (maybe they do, I didn't ask), but I just love everything having some spice. If you don't get the spicy chili wontons, get a side of their chili oil (currently for $1) as it goes with almost any dish and is delicious. Highly recommend this place and will be back multiple times!

Loved this little place. My favorite was the pork bun and the Philadelphia roll. To drink I had the jasmine tea. The chili dipping sauce was so good!! I want to come back for the chili wontons. Service was excellent, Max our waiter was great! Thanks again!

Came down here to drop off a client and decided to go ahead and decided to eat in while down here in Austin. Very clean and a good up-vibe/poppy music and the Sushi rolls that I got were absolutely amazing and so was the desert! 💯 Thank y'all for such a wonderful experience! 👍

I had a great time at Sweet Chive! I ordered pancake sliders and spicy chili wontons. I must say that they were beyond my expectations! The pork belly in the pancake sliders were tasty, very soft and the flavor was delicious. The chili oil and sauce for the wontons were also very good, better than a lot of Asian restaurants in Austin. Being Taiwanese, this restaurant brought me back home a bit. Will definitely visit again soon. One other good thing is that they have parking lots right next to them! Great location and the inside design and decor were cute and comfortable.

Been meaning to try this place and wasn't disappointed. Everything we ate had great flavor. The service was very friendly and attentive. They even offered to lower or change the music when my boyfriend got a headache. Very considerate. They even made me a little avocado snail for my sushi roll plate. :) Love the murals on the walls too. Would come back to try more of the food.

Hard to find a decent place to eat a few Taiwanese dishes. Ordered a bunch of dishes to try and wasn’t disappointed. We liked their Jian Bao (pork buns), chili oil wonton, chive pocket, shrimp tempura, and chicken nuggets. Good flavor, not too doughy where it shouldn’t. Service was warm and friendly. The murals inside were beautiful. Give it a try and see for yourself!

The happy hour is tremendous. Chicken nuggets $3. Spicy Cali rolls $6 and half off beer and house wine. Truly worth your time. I had the beef noodles. Not bad by any means but the only reason this got 4 stars.

Wow, Sweet Chive is just SO DAMN GOOD! It was our 2nd time there. Sushi Nachos, Dumplings, rolls—amazing! They were kind enough to accommodate my kids with plain noodles in sauce. I want to go back and try more dishes. Definitely recommend!

Great sushi and Asian food on the east side. Cute little restaurant, had great sushi and beef clay pot on a random Monday night. Don’t miss the dessert, the chocolate flan cake and salted caramel ice cream were amazing!

The best place I ate at, while visiting Austin. If I lived in ATX, I would be a regular. My wife is a vegan and there were plenty of clearly marked options, on the menu. We both loved it. An understated, relaxed setting that is all about simple, fresh, delicious food. I wish I had gone earlier in my trip, so I could have gone back a second time.

My group had a great experience at Sweet Chive! Our waitress Tina went above and beyond to accommodate an allergy in our group, and was very friendly and helpful. I got the Gaby roll and it was delicious. The Serrano pepper slices on top added a really nice spice to the roll which would have already been great on its own. The scallion pancakes were delicious as well. All around great experience and would definitely go back!

Making a choice for food in Austin is not easy... Sweet Chive won us over with menu choice, location, and overall good vibe. We had appetizers, tea, and a full choice of entree to match each of our needs. Overall wonderful experience.. I will be returning to try some of the menu items that caught my eye. Look at the picture of the little snail the chef made from Wasabi and avocado pit.. such amazing display.

Top 3 favorite restaurant in Austin. The owner and the staff are fantastic, not to mention the restaurant itself is such a charming atmosphere. Gabriel took care of me today, and he was very friendly, prompt, and helpful. The owner/chef Phoenix built the menu based on what her mom cooked for her/what she cooked for her own children. You can taste the comfort in the food! Order the HollyHood roll, it's my favorite roll in Austin!
