J. Leonardi's Barbeque - Austin - Photo album

Crazy good. I've been to Franklin's and it's as good. Brisket even better. Franklin's sent me away at 1pm so I found this. The fact that I didn't have to wait and got meat down to 1/4lb was great. Most important the owner was very friendly. Def. Superstar on the rise
Krikaoli recommends it! It is a fabulous barbecue food truck. I shared three types of meat and two sides with my girlfriend. I suggest four types of meat to share — sausage, ribs, brisket, beans, and corn. I ate almost crying with pleasure. The price was also a plus, 20 grant, two bottles of water i
Tasty sliced brisket sandwich. The generous portion of meat bursts out of the burger buns. Outdoor sitting. Very relaxed. I visited on a December Saturday at around 1 pm. There was no line up.
J. Leonardi's is a fantastic gem on the east side of Austin that really embodies what the east side used to be. Owned and managed by folks who grew up in the historically black and Latino community that dominated the east side in the past they are keeping the tradition alive and are doing it excepti

Got the plate with brisket and ribs for $15. Came with potato salad and a drink (you can choose other sides as well). Brisket was just what I wanted, good bark and melt in your mouth fat. The potato salad was great too. Ribs deserve 4 stars but overall great place.
This barbecue was amazingly good. Didn't have to wait the hour and a half to two hours at Franklin's and it was right down the street. I recommend it highly the ribs and the brisket excellent.
Ordered the Cowboy, which is a brisket and sausage sandwich. Loved the brisket, couldn't finish the sausage. Also liked their jalapeno corn. Friendly service and convenient location!
It’s my lucky day. Hungry at the front end of some errands and happened up on this truck on E. 11th Street. Sliced brisket sandwich (add pickles, onions, sauce) and potato salad. So tasty. Really A+ level brisket with some killer burnt ends. My wife had sides of smoked cabbage and pinto beans/bris
A lot of people probably come to the area for another bbq place, wait long hours, just to get whatever they have left over from other customers who camped out really early - avoid that. Come here instead. Slow cooked and smoked is the right way to have bbq - they skimp on neither of those elements h
