Delicious! We had a little of everything: brisket, ribs, turkey, sausage. And.. Green beans, slaw, Mac/cheese. We were going to try the Frito pie, but we're full to bursting.

Very friendly people and great food. Place looks like a run down gas station...which is exactly the right vibe for good old fashioned BBQ!

Fantastic BBQ and great sides. The brisket is cut when you order it and that is why it is moist and delicious. Not dried out like the other places that pre-cut it. Love their Frito pie and Turbo. And their prices are reasonable and the staff is so friendly. That's why the family owned business has been around so long- since 1970.

(4.3 stars) I was in town for work... myself and 2 colleges were looking for a good BBQ spot for lunch without a super long wait. Bert's pulled up on Google with good reviews so we stopped by. Super friendly staff, very good food and not pricey at all. We left happy and full. Thanks for the great meal ... I will definitely be back.

I have been going to Bert's for a little over 4 years now. From day 1, the owner Gary and all his employees have always been super friendly and very welcoming. The BBQ is excellent!! He even hooks my dog up with a little treat. Thanks Gary!!

Absolutely LOVED the service. Gave me plenty of time to peruse the menu and then promptly served me my food. They were out of cole slaw (my favorite thing about BBQ) and I guess he could tell how sad that made me 'cause he offered to make some up really quickly and bring it out to me at my table! The food was delicious and I was pretty surprised there weren't more people there (to be fair it was during finals). The service was great and there was always a smile on their face (which really goes a long way in customer service). I had a brisket and rib combo plate and the cuts were great, lean meat with no fat but not dry at all. I could even see a good few centimeters of a smoke ring on my brisket. Lovely. I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm craving some real BBQ. :)

I ordered a half pound of brisket , it was really good . I was born in Austin and have been enjoying the BBQ scene in and around Central Texas all of my life. As a Service Plumber and Beer Delivery Driver there are very few places that I have not physically been to in Austin. Bert's has eluded me for a long time . I am glad that I finally got to enjoy what my taste buds have been missing my whole life.

Ordered ahead of time, but my order wasn't ready when I got there (that's no problem because it seems fast to make). The people at the register didn't seem to understand that I ordered ahead of time and ended up making me food that I didn't actually order without listening to me. That food was good, but I really wish I had gotten exactly what I ordered. Update: Talked with them, and it was a simple misunderstanding with the menu. Great bbq! will be back!

Have always loved the BBQ here; however, I recently began coming for breakfast tacos early in the morning. These tacos are incredible and have become some of my favorite breakfast tacos in Austin. (Which is saying a lot given the quantity of quality tacos to be found in town)

Oh my..... Bert's BBQ is the best. We ate a lotta brisket while visiting Austin, and this is the one. Also sampled the ribs, sausage and turkey. Absolutely top notch. Clean, fast and very friendly. Don't skip Bert's.

Even as an Aggie, I have to give this longhorn favorite a great review! Quick service and the Turbo was incredible. Parking is tight, but this is Austin, what do you expect?

Best service! Only bbq place i know that really tries to remember your name and what you like to order. T-Man is GOD and its like no other. The brisket and jalapeño sausage are great! Their bbq has a unique taste like none other!

I visit Bert's for lunch practically every other week. With that said, I don't think I've actually tried their bbq outside of it being served atop a bed of Fritos. I recommend the original Frito-pie that includes chopped beef, pinto beans and sauce. You can also get various other interpretations like the T-man or the Turbo that include sausage and fresh sliced brisket. Order it "inverted" if you want the Fritos on top. Every order comes with a couple slices of white or wheat bread, pickles and onions...as any good bbq should. You can also ask for a jalapeno and they'll hook you up. Service is always great and parking is never a problem since you can use the spaces at Arab Cowboy. If you're looking for atmosphere, head elsewhere. If you just want some reasonably priced tasty bbq, this is your spot.

Bert's is a great place to get lunch or breakfast tacos. Gary makes you feel like you are family. For something different, try a T-man. He also caters.

3 of us shared the el monstro and were all very full. It was exactly what I was looking for in bbq. It would be my go-to place if I lived in Austin. Staff was very nice. We would definitely go back.
