Food has really improved at this location. Service and atmosphere pretty decent also. It's lots of fun to see who comes and goes at this location especially at night. Noticed a zombie me and my partner kicked out of the business we worked at from the day before. He was quiet and well behaved though. I was a little concerned when I saw a homeless guy come in. He was wearing all black. He had black cargo shorts on. I noticed a large knife in his outer pocket. Luckily, he came in refilled his soda and left without incident. If you come here at night pay close attention to the people who come in. If you see something that concerns you speak to an employee or manager. Let them know if you see something that could be potentially problematic or dangerous. I did inform an employee about what I had seen.

This is the fastest whataburger that I've ever been to.
Bastrop location will have you waiting an hour to get to order and another forty-five minutes to get your order. This place has nice employees and fast service. I'd rather drive out of town to this location to get food
The staff at this specific location (store 992) are all awesome. I popped in and asked for the new Breakfast Burger but had a special request to "make it pretty, like the advertisement" and surprisingly they were more than willing to accommodate. I obviously didn't ask this during a busy or peak time but it was still a silly request that they were more than happy to oblige. Thank you!
We went inside at almost 4am and it was packed with a lot of drunk college kids but noting crazy. They were just eating and having fun.

I really enjoy a hamburger about once a week. I’ve tried numerous brand named places but none equal or better than the Whataburger Jr!

Not all Whataburgers are made the same. This one, located very close to campus, has some cons (flat Dr. Pepper, long lines) but makes up for it in other, more important areas. Some of its pros: pipping hot and crunchy french fries, good portions added when extra ingredients are requested, quick service, and positive attitude from the weekend staff.
You can order onion rings instead of fries in your kids meal. Chicken is REALLY breaded!
