The Water Tank has the most character of any bar in the part of Austin that overlaps Williamson County. I don't know the history of the building but is clear that it's been there a while. It's dark and cold inside, even when it's 104° and brutal outside--that's exactly how a dive should be! Karaoke

Surprisingly good bar with pool table, dance floor, indoor and outdoor bars, food. Live music outside some nights, karaoke inside. Happy Hour though I was very confused about, perhaps there isn't one?
This is a perfect neighborhood dive bar! Luckily on top of the most reasonable prices in the area they also have food. Its a DIVE so the environment isn’t for everyone.
Been here so many times since moving to ATX circa 2002. Burger this time was SALTY AF and not what they used to be. Will not be eating here any longer. However, the vibe is a solid 'sophisticated-dive' and has grown impressively with the relaxing backyard. Bartenders that don't let the cold beers go
