A hidden gem with delicious food and unique ambiance that literature fans would appreciate. The duck fat fries are OMG fantastic. I returned here after my first visit in 2014 and it has all the charm you’d expect from Charm City!

It's a cute little restaurant with Edgar Allan Poe theme. All the food we ordered was yummy. I especially liked my Bourbon-Mushroom Flat Iron Steak and Drunken Mussels.

Unique aesthetic and good drinks. I liked that the theme was present but not overboard. They had a variety of clever drinks and some tasty duck fries. The bartender was very nice, too. It wasn’t that busy so we had no issues with seating.

My boyfriend surprised me on date night a couple weeks ago by taking me here. I have always loved Edgar Allan Poe, and particularly the poem "Annabel Lee". We made a 6:45pm reservation and thank goodness we did because it was very busy. It's a small restaurant/bar that is dimly lit and decorated in a Poe theme. Not particularly a fan of Poe? Not a problem. The cocktail list and meal options are more than enough to bring a crowd. The two drinks I tried were well balanced and strong. The food (I ordered the grilled tuna panini with Old Bay fries) was great. I was stuffed but couldn't resist trying their ice cream sandwich. The hostess and servers were quick to help and available whenever needed. Everyone was friendly. We will be going back!

Crab cake is absolutely killer (that’s why I don’t have pictures of it)! The best I’ve ever had just because they use more crab meat than filler and the filler compliments the crab! Comes with bacon Brussels sprouts (amazing and crunchy) and side of homemade mashed potatoes. I also got the duck fat fries which were insanely crunchy but they were a little too heavily seasoned (little too much salt). The atmosphere inside makes you feel like you’re walking into an Annabelle horror movie which is also very cool.

I was visiting the DMV area for the holidays/vacation from Dubai. Being a resident of Dubai for the past decade, my expectations are usually high when it comes to the F&B industry. I can say that Annabel Lee is best place in Baltimore and one of the best places I've even been to. Amazing ambiance, tasty food, sublime service. Kurt, the owner, is the friendliest. Jess the bartender was positive, friendly and generous (ask for tea time shots). Overall the experience was very positive and the Edgar Allan Poe theme of the place makes it even more wonderful. I would definitely come again for sure. Highly recommended! #5stars

Very cool ambiance. Not sure if it's extra spooky right now for Halloween, or just like this year round. Tried the Mesmeric Revelation and Masque of the Red Death cocktails, both were delicious. Food was also good, but could have had just the duck fat fries and been satisfied

Great little corner establishment. Opened at 4pm on Saturday. Food was pretty good. Southwest risotto was a real risotto and the Mac and cheese was homemade but what really made this place special was the classic music and the great artwork everywhere dedicated to Poe and Baltimore. The wait staff was on point with keeping up drinks and conversation (tavern style :)). I loved it.
