One of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore. The seasonal menu is always a treat. The atmosphere is fantastic for a relaxed calming evening. Always looking forward to going back!
The entire experience invokes happiness and pleases all of my senses. The free valet parking, charming host, and ambiance throughout the venue are lovely. My favorite space is the courtyard, where the wall is adorned with ivy. The entire staff is knowledgeable about the menu and where every item is sourced. Thus far, my favorite meal is the catfish, but Chef Scott is always preparing something new with our tastebuds and ecosystem in mind.
Our server Andrew is amazing, courteous and professional! He was really helpful and insightful with guiding us through the menu! Props to him, I’d definitely give him more than just five stars.
The appetizers and entrees are all phenomenal with so much variety! I can’t recommend this place enough!
This is one of the best restaurants that I've been to in baltimore.
This place is incredibly upscale. It's the type of place that has multiple $3000+ bottles of wine in their wine binder. They do the thing that fancy restaurants do of charging a lot of money and then giving you a little food (for certain dishes). This was the case for at least the venison. I didn't order that myself but the person I was with really loved it.
It is somewhat ridiculous but is an important reminder to us Americans who usually believe that more is better. It's a good reminder to savor your food and eat slowly.
It's in the basement / ground floor of the Ivy hotel. In terms of the atmosphere, it's furnished quite nicely. The only problem was that the bartender and servers were talking quite loudly at the bar and the place isn't so big.
Perfect for gatherings or a date! The atmosphere is great. The service was outstanding. Now the food....simple and simply delicious. The best ingredients perfectly matched together. You can't miss with the changing menu. Looking forward to returning soon!
Great food, beautiful atmosphere. Definitely come here.
The Oysters were very good, the Mushroom Tartine was to die for, the Venison Loin was spectacular and the Beef Loin was unbelievable. Great food and drinks in a private dining area in the city.
Came here for date night and was not disappointed. It was a wonderful experience. The food was phenomenal, our server was attentive and fun to talk to, and the atmosphere was intimate but comfortable. Will definitely be coming back again. If you're thinking about trying this place out don't think just do it.
High end restaurant with polite servers. Calm and aesthetically appealing ambiance. The cocktails were delicious. Small serving sizes with interesting flavors. Tried the bass and scallops. Great presentation of main course! Visited for a birthday celebration. Limited dessert options with no celebratory effort (i.e. no candles, plate calligraphy, etc).
Wow! One of the best all around dining experiences I have had in years! The food, service, and ambiance was outstanding. Our server, Clay was fantastic... attentive but not hovering. Every course was delicious and innovative. We ate in the courtyard which was romantic (nice, since we were celebrating our 32d anniversary). We will definitely be going back!!!
Genuinely nice staff, well-thought of food offerings, impeccable service & reasonably priced. My husband and I had a wonderful time. Thank you!
From the moment we stepped out the car what an amazing experience! The service provided by the Valet,JR the
bartender, Greeters, Hostess Jeyna and the amazing dinner prepared by Chef Bacon was awesome. Thank you Ms Jenelle for the awesome tour and the knowledge you have of the Beautiful Ivy Hotel 😊. We look forward to dining with everyone again very soon.
My girlfriends and I had a great dinner here the other night. I am a very picky eater, but I decided to try "something new" so we order the Raw & Shellfish platter and from someone who would never eat raw fish or oysters, I have to say everything in the platter was amazing! I ordered a cocktail, the steak for dinner, and the cheesecake for dessert: all were delicious. The service was fantastic! I will definetly be back.
Easily one of the greatest dining experiences of my entire life. The wine cellar was majestic. It was something right out of a novel. The lighting, the decor, the amazing attentive staff, there was no complaints whatsoever from my 4 person party. We all were absolutely thrilled with how we were treated. I think the manager Maureen was super hospitable. She was so informative about the menu, and she came over a few times to check on how we were doing.
I ordered duck breasts, my wife pork chops, and I don't think we've had either dish prepared anywhere in our life better than they were prepared on this evening.
The chef Scott Bacon made a visit to our table as well, along with one of the cooks Devin, and it was absolutely a pleasure. I've never been treated this nicely and would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and their top tier service to anyone who wants to ask. Magdalena lives up to and surpasses any review I can give here. I feel like I need more stars, because 5 just isn't enough 🤷🏿♂️
Wonderful experience. Intimate ambiance. Knowledgeable wait staff that provides a very personalized feel. Creative thoughtful food combinations. It's definitely a worthwhile adventure for foodies. Chose the Magdalena for a first date, and it was absolutely a great choice. Each dish generated a conversation - unique textures, interesting spin on traditional dishes. This is the first time I can say I truly enjoyed the appetizers more than the dessert. (We never actually made it to the entree because we were so intrigued/ satisfied by appetizers that we skipped to dessert. So now I've got to go back again to try some other dishes!
Spectacular. Can I write a one-word review? We didn’t leave a morsel on any plate and the cocktails were delicious. Truffles and foie gras. More? Very highly recommended.
CHECK IN: It has been so many years since I have had such an outstanding dining experience! From the doorman, to check, to the waitress, to the kitchen it was all superlative.
SERVER: Gratitude Jayna for being so personable and we noticed you never once needed a pad. How it should be at fine dining.
CHEF/KITCHEN: Gratitude to the Exec Chef who was already aware of my allergies and had briefed Jayna on what I could NOT have! Of course this was communicated to Chefs from the front staff so, well done! The best part was adjusting a dish to suit my disability (Coeliac disease & anaphylaxis food allergies). You've outshone others here. When I say others, I means 5 star-diamond hotel dining experiences.
AMBIENCE : The ambience is most suitable for a date.
FOOD: The food! Ohhh myyy, dear, we are still discussing the flavoursome food, days later! Gratitude for providing us such an amazing experience.
RECOMMENDATION: I shall return! Yes, recommended for a date night or small business dinner.
