Had dinner last night at Swallow at the Hollow. First we ordered a Guiness draft. It was poured perfectly. Nice head, the right temperature, the way it is supposed to be.
For dinner I had a cup of the soup special, creamy Italian wedding soup. I've had Italian wedding soup before but never this way.
Swallow is a quintessential dive bar, in the best way possible! The drinks are cheap, the food is delicious (I personally recommend the wings or cheesesteak), the service is good, and the atmosphere is nice. Its the perfect neighborhood bar/hang out spot.

Half price burger night on Wednesdays. Great fun! Nice cozy bar. Music's not loud. Good pub food. We like this place a lot!
Best Crab cake I ever had. Loaded with crab meat. Very good service, great atmosphere. Especially when the Orioles are playing on TV
Wowwwwww, but did I get treated like a Rock Star at the Swallow!! It was this gorgeous day, I really wanted just to enjoy it, but Johnny's on Roland had absolutely SUCKED (I actually just got up and left my table, the service was so pitiful), and I was down because I didn't know where else to go.
Neighborhood bar with some really great tasting food. The Maryland Crab soup was really good. The steak wrap was very tasty and filling. A lot of the other food I saw coming out of the kitchen looked really good. Place was packed and lively.
When you just need a good burger and fries with a large selection of beers this is your place. Dripping with local atmosphere and friendly folks, great place to catch a game or grab some drinks with friends. Not fancy and just what you need for a casual night.
We watched the ball game at the bar and enjoyed some drinks. The service was perfect and the crowd was great to root the home team with!
I’m going to regret writing this review, but this is the best place in Baltimore hands down. Food and service are great each time. I go far too often and have had literally every menu item- all delicious. If you like solid bar food and a nice place, check out Swallow. I only say I’ll regret writing
Great Baltimore dive. It was crowded but we came at a busy time during march madness and ended up finding a seat 15 min in at the bar. Food is really solid. Bar food. I enjoyed the chicken cheese steak. I love that the food comes down on a dumb waiter :)
