The food was delicious and plentiful . Left no room for dessert. Liked the fact the even tho they were doing a Saturday brunch, you could order from the dinner menu . Thanks for giving me the opportunity to order from the dinner menu since I am not a brunch guy.
Out of this world ribs and drinks. That staff is super friendly and honest about the food. I would highly recommend to anyone.
I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and thr food is great!
I have been going to this place for years. Every time I enjoy something different. The staff is very friendly and service is great.
Teddy was the best waiter ever! The food was FABULOUS. No much more 2 say!!
The food and service was great. Will definitely go back when visiting Baltimore again.
The best food, portions and service in Baltimore, with great prices. I have eaten at Mt Vernon Saloon with friends on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed.
My husband and I went and had a full rack of ribs that were the best he has ever had! They fell off the bone! I had the crab cake dinner and was very pleased! There was so much crab in the cake and was fantastic! Our waitress (Kristyna) was so attentive and knowledgeable about establishment and all the menu items. When we walked in, we were greated by both the waitresses (Kristyna) and the bartender so we felt very welcome. I highly recommend this restaurant and our fantastic waitress, Kristyna! Thank you for a great evening!
My regular go-to brunch place from now on. Really nice quieter casual atmosphere upstairs and cool little pub downstairs. Pretty big portions, lots to choose from and great prices. Dessert was ok, had the chocolate decadent cake and a coconut cake. Both ok, but brunch was fantastic! Great potatoes and waffles! BLT came with tons of chips and wasnt skimpy on the bacon.
Simple, yet good food...fast and friendly, try crab cake sandwich and onion rings
Eggs Baltimore!. If you find yourself at sixes and sevens on a midday Sunday, as we have on occasion in Baltimore; get thee to Mount Vernon Stable & Saloon for the outstanding brunch the restaurant offers.
My brunch of choice is Eggs Baltimore, Mount Vernon's take on Eggs Benedict. Here is a bliss-filled plate that will find a place in your memory bank for years to come! Substituting lump crab meat in place of Canadian Bacon, makes this egg dish sublime. Adding a pitcher of Mimosa or Bloody Mary adds just a bit of decadence to a wonderful meal.

Where can you get a full rack of ribs for $8 on Mondays and see King Tut on the ceiling?
The Mount Vernon Stable on Charles Street is selling not one, not two, but three kinds of Smith Island cakes . After a quick pint at the Hippo I wanted some dessert, so I headed over to the Stable. Actually I headed to the Brewer's Art first, but the crow

I love this place! This place is a Mount Vernon area staple with it's quirky decor and talkative servers.
The good:
The food is so delicious. I always go there for brunch. They have a paper menu that is also used as a place mat. From eggs to chicken and waffles. You definitely have to get the mount Vernon potatoes. Bomb!
They made my special brunch drink for me with no problems. The specials ( soup, salad, pasta, quesadilla, seafood) are listed on a chalk board near the door for you to see upon arrivals.
Oh... And a delicious array of cakes for dessert!
The bad:
Not wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up to the restaurant and down to the bar below.
The food was really good and very large, they had Smith Island cake and that's apparently not very easy to find in restaurants.
Visited here at the night that I really wanted to have sweets and alcohol. Smith Island Cake is fine, really large and rich. However, I’m more impressed by their cocktail. I ordered “Green Tea,” and the price is not expensive compared to other places around! And it is just on the right point for me to be tipsy.
So after attending an event a girlfriend and I wanted dinner. We attempted to find several places but they were closed - like out of business closed.
So we started walking towards another place but couldn't find it so asked a man that was standing on the corner- he HIGHLY recommended Mt Vernon Stable and Saloon!
We walked in and up the stairs and we were drawn in by the decor, music, current dinners and staff BUT the food was amazing (delicious) and at a great price. They also have brunch!
IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA GO HERE! 🤗 WE WILL BE BACK! 📷: KHamlet #dinnerdate
Food and service was excellent downstairs. Upstairs crew seemed to have attitude, especially the male bartender.
The four of us had a very good meal. Both the food and drinks were reasonably priced. The atmosphere was warm and open. The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. We will be returning in the future. I highly recommend.
Food was fantastic, and *cheap*, like on Tuesday nights you can get a 12 oz steak and 2 sides for 16 bucks. That's *ridiculous*. Service was a little slow, but it's a bar, he was dealing with the bar customers and we were at a table, so I get it. All in all, I would 100% recommend this place. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Baltimore
Service is always friendly the food always tasty and reasonably priced. The presentation of the food is great. The restaurant dining area is always immaculate well decorated. The baby back ribs are divine, tender juicy, lean and very flavorful.
This place comes off as a family vibe resturant. Good atmosphere. I got the crab cakes the first time they were delicious and the second time i got shrimp fettuccine with crab meat added. It was VERY BLAND. But after i seasoned it up it was better. I would visit here again.
Nightly specials, barbecue ribs, and Bloody Marys are the standouts at this neighborhood staple. Prices are reasonable, the food is good, and the portions are huge. The staff can even handle large groups who show up without a reservation (there were 10 of us tonight)--and provide individual checks, if desired (we desired). The atmosphere is warm and friendly, which makes it easy to excuse the rare glitch in the kitchen or awkward service, especially when the dining room is busy. I have been going to this restaurant for more than 20 years, and the wide-ranging menu is consistently reliable for friends and family, groups and neighbors, and even visitors from out-of-town. Notably, this restaurant is also one of the longest running and best performing contributors to Moveable Feast's annual Dining Out for Life event. Do yourself a favor and save room for the delicious desserts, presented on a tray at table when you have finished your meal. This place is highly recommended for comfortable, casual meals.
Best crab & corn soup. Calamari is a tasty & plentiful dish. Can't wait to try BBQ chicken. Nice MT Vernon window view. Very polite & quick service. Eden is a Gem of a server!
I've been going to the Stable on/off for about 20 years now and the atmosphere as well as the food are great. My wife and her co-workers decided to make this their holiday party spot for the last few years and everyone has a great time. Though the service this year was well taken care of, my only concern was the inconsistency of the alchoholic beverages being made by out server. Great guy but, he needs to find his happy in between with liquor pours.
Great restaurant great ribs. Go there on Monday night
This is located in the heart of Mount Vernon away from the harbor and a lot of Tourist. They poured an excellent drink, and have a clean. The service is excellent and the patrons are friendly. This is an integrated venue with both black and white customers. If I lived here full-time this would be one of my stops
Great servers. Friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Pub downstairs, restaurant upstairs, dining up and down. Food is consistent. Generous salads and sandwiches around ten bucks. The best ribs around half rack and whole.
