I ordered carry out.
Probably the best shrimp drunken noodles I've ever come across. Nice portion for the price. Finished it off with sticky rice and mango. My rule of thumb is that dessert is the one thing you shouldn't be stingy with. Maybe I was being piggish, but 3 bites is all there was(human size bites).. price to bite ratio was way off. The hostess/ cashier/ server/ bus person was very, very nice and helpful. I wasn't sure if they were getting ready to close, open up, or in between services but the place was a mess.... and the smell in the foyer killed all my olfactory for about 3 minutes. Despite the loss of smell, I actually would order from here again.
The food here was DELICIOUS! I tried their Thai tea, which had some type of carnation mixture in it, but it was GOOOOD. I had their red curry and I loved it. We also had their fried rice and shrimp rolls and they didn't disappoint. We were served quick and would definitely go back.
The place was a bit run down but the food was out of the world! It was a great place to sit and have dinner but while I was there it looked like a lot of people where doing take out.
After a long day of moving our furniture, I was craving something soupy, but it was 10pm and all pho places were closed. I saw on Rod Dee Thai's menu that it had a soup called Tom Yum Goong. We came in expecting to be seated, but their dine-in was closed! It closes at 10:30pm. They were only doing take out, which was fine by me. I ordered the soup along with a Thai iced tea, drunken noodles with chicken and my husband ordered pineapple fried rice with chicken. All this was only ~$38!
The Tom Yum soup was delicious!!! It really hit the spot and it cured my pho cravings. It was sour, tangy and had a meaty flavor to it. The drunken noodles were also really delicious, my only wish was that I should have ordered it spicy! My husband also really enjoyed his fried rice.
I can't believe I've been here for almost 2 years and I just discovered this place! I definitely will be back here to order again!
Really enjoy to have Thai food here!
Love Som tum with Laos style (papaya salad) and spicy beef salad. It's like the food I got in Thailand :))
For Tom yum Kung, I would suggest to reduce sweetness a bit and have more salty/sour taste (maybe this restaurant adjusts it for the people here which is understandable). We actually requested for more fish sauce and lime from the staff and she helped us very willingly, I was very impressed with the service so it's 5-star experience for me so far. If I have a chance to come back here, will definitely visit it again!
Very delicious Thai food. A great way to escape the cold. On a Tuesday evening, the restaurant was very quiet and the service was great; 5-star experience. The spring rolls were stellar and the drunken noodles were a hit!
I would definitely recommend dining-in here
The best Thai place in Baltimore. When they opened during the beginning of covid, I ate here everyday. The ambiance is amazing, the menu is amazing and the staff are super friendly and nice. They always decorate on holidays and their prices are the most reasonable I seen around the Baltimore city area. This place is Better than all the other ones that charge way more and are not as authentic. The staff are all from Thailand and cook themselves and are amazing. If you visit, definitely get their Kao soi. The portion sizes are really good too. Never a complaint with Rod Dee Thai. Their hours of operation are great on weekends too if you’re out and about late night. Definitely the place to try for real Thai cuisine
Although I have reviewed this restaurant, I just had to delete my old one and give them a 5 star rating. If I could, I'd give them 10 stars for the delicious and authentic food and the wonderful service they provide. I order from this restaurant so often, the owner knows my order when he sees my name and order. That definitely says something about the owner. He is really involved in the restaurant in every aspect. And the staff are awesome and are great with customer service. I had a horrible experience with my Door Dash delivery tonight and the restaurant made sure that the 2nd attempt at delivery was successful. That to me tells me what a superb job they do and that they do care. I do recommend if you order from here, please please I beg don't use Door Dash. They have been known to steal the food on a number of occasions. Order online through Rod Dee Thai's website, or use a different delivery service. Thank you Rod Dee Thai and Boy for reminding me there are good people out there. Oh and order the Ka Pow with chicken, Thai tea, and pretty much anything on the menu. . It's mouth watering good 😊
Stopped in on my way to work. The atmosphere was definitely a diamond in the ruff. The waiter that took my order was really sweet and quite helpful as I was deciding on what to order. I got the veggie gyoza and fish patties as well as some yummy Bobba. Everything was really good and quite tasty. If you're looking to take a walk into a different culture and cuisine, it's definitely a great place.
Mainly ended up here because it was open late on Sunday, but it helped that the menu and everything I saw online looked promising, and it did not let me down. I at first was going to have my friend meet me to dine in, but then she had a change of plans so I had to change my order to go. They handled it well, and it was prepared pretty quickly. I got the Kao Soi Tofu and the Sweet Sticky Rice w/ Taro Custard. It was actually my first time trying both of these and I really liked them. The Kai Soi was like a dressed up yellow curry with a delicious rich and spicy sauce, which thankfully wasn't at all oily unlike some curries I've had. The pickled mustard greens were a really nice touch on this. The waitress asked if I wanted spicy or non-spicy and I went with spicy. Yes it is spicy but nothing insane. If you are averse to spicy food get the non-spicy version but don’t be afraid of the spicy if you have a moderate spicy tolerance. The sticky rice and custard was also delicious - the custard had such a nice texture and natural taro flavour, and the dessert wasn't too sweet or heavy. The portions were very filling but I was starving so I finished every last bite. Even in the takeout packaging, the presentation was really nice! Very fair prices for the size and quality of food! I also like the vibe of the restaurant, it's nothing fancy but the wooden walls make it feel cozy - would've loved to dine in and relax there for a while.
The food was on point. The spicyness and the taste were as promised. Loved it.
Workers are super kind and serves absolutely great food!
I definitely recommend everyone to go here and have some of their great food!
I’m from Bangkok, Thailand. This place is the best Thai food ever and authentic Thai style. Very nice service. 100% will be back.
