Great food, great prices. I absolutely love this place! It's great food for even better prices. I personally recommend the patty melt, one of the best I've had. Also it is no longer a cash only restaurant.
Certainly not fine dining, just a nice homey place for a very good breakfast or lunch. We'll be back.
Stopped in for late lunch on Saturday. Local small restaraunt, good food, reasonable prices and friendly staff.
Think Waffle House food but slightly better ambiance. Nothing fancy and very reasonable prices.
Server was friendly and greeted us promptly. Food and mimosas came out quickly. Eggs were perfectly cooked. They have turkey sausage and white gravy without meat for those of us who are vegetarian or don't eat pork. Highly recommend!!

Consistently delicious for 44 years. The building and interior definitely looks old but The focus is the atmosphere and food. Open 7-3 Thursday through Monday and breakfast is all day. Prices are very reasonable and this is also a locals favorite. Beautiful photographs from a local artist are for sale.
Plain style/theme restaurant but makes up for it lots of windows for its "GRANDVIEW". Our waiter was bringing another glass without asking before i ran. That's service!

This is a very nice place to enjoy breakfast, If or when I come back to this area again, for sure, I'll come here again to get my breakfasts as I have been doing it. Today, I drove 51 minutes just to come and eat here. Service is great, the food is great, and the atmosphere is awesome.

Seemed like every restaurant was jammed in Banner Elk, so we came to Grandview Restaurant. Both my wife and got the Hawaiian Chicken sandwich. Included a side, so I got Mac & Cheese bites, she got Tatoe Tots. Everything was excellent. The service was excellent as well! Go our to go and it was packaged well! We've had breakfast here before which was great. Yet this is first dinner. I'd recommend. They have a camera positioned at Grandfather Mountain and come on 3 screens inside.
So this place is a typical breakfast house. The day we went was extremely busy, meaning all the tourists were in town and so the kitchen was overwhelmed. That's okay, because the people are great and the few locals we're very personable and engaging, and made up for any deficiencies in the atmosphere. All in all, Grandview is a great place to get breakfast.
Always great food and service. And the portions are very generous for the price. We love the live view of grandfather mtn which is projected on a screen inside and the blueberry pancakes.
The Grandview was a last-minute decision, and I'm so glad my husband and I picked it. It was spotless, and the food was homemade to perfection. They sold plant cutting which I loved the idea! Half of my family had breakfast, and the other half had lunch. That's my 2¢ now you decide.

Home style breakfast. Delicious. Neighborhood gem that’s been around for decades. Staff is attentive. Place gets busy at peak hours and of course weekends / holidays. And if the cloud cooperate you get a great view of Grandfather Mountain Profile.
Great food, great service, great location. The cutest, comfiest diner with a beautiful view of grandfather mountain! Their biscuit sandwiches are fantastic! Fantastic breakfast and lunch spot if you are in the area, it is worth dropping in for!
My favorite place to stop on vacation the staff are amazing and the food is excellent. They have add live views of grandfather mountain that we wonderful to watch. Would recommend to anyone.
Down home cooking just like its always been around these parts. If your born and raised here, this is exactly what we grew up on. White gravy over biscuits. Stewed apples are so good, not a bunch a sugar, just good flavor. Sweet country sweet tea and simple simple seating, nutin fancy. If you haven't ate at Grandview, Then you should come on by. It's worth the wait. Ps. These ladies, & gentlemen work very hard. Don't forget to tip your waiter or waitress!

Let me just tell yall this is the place for you to visit. They have an amazing staff. From the lafies running the floor to the cooks in the kitchen that can make anyones roaring belly into the slow slug you will be after. Absolutely the best spicy bloody mary!! I have had my share of these tomatoe drinks...but man oh man, do they know how to make a great bloody mary. That's just the start to the amazeineness this little joint has. You will completely understand the phrase "dont judge a book by its cover" with the gem of a place. The back to back days, i got to discover Grandview restaurant i chose different items off the menu. Country fried steak with the brown gravy, very good 👍🏼 the next day put them in my books though. I was able to choose 3 sides, and they had a special pancake that was to die for. My meal alone looked like i could feed two of me. I am Florida bred, but the country girl at heart being up here so long. So, of course, i love fried food. Especially fried pickles ,fried okra, and a deep love for homemade mash potatoes (of course with their yummy brown gravy). Those 3 sides made my trip to Grandfather Mountain worth the trip. Beautiful mountains for the scenery, and like i said, the women servers are great gals. Im not good at names what so ever but to the gal who has made me want to say "my pleasure" instead of the old boring "sure" or "ok", girlfriend, you are a gem. And to the gal with the glasses that satnds up straight lile she owns the joint..well gf you are a special one too. Please dont get me wrong, yall are all great. You all have definitely made me a repeat customer when i visit yalls way.
We were referred to go there from a family friend and the breakfast was really good! They have a large menu to choose from. The good was worth the wait!

Excellent breakfast with a beautiful view. The stuffed French toast was wonderful. They were very busy & the servers did their best to keep up. They kept apologizing but we were enjoying time with our family.
I had a wonderful breakfast there and got my money's worth!!! The waitress was super nice and attentive. The day before I had eaten at a more upscale restaurant for breakfast and the food was so horrendous I could not even eat it. The staff treated me with contempt... I guess because I was a single woman. However, at Grandview I was made to feel welcomed and enjoyed my time there!
