Every trip has one of those special stand-out meals. This was one of them.
The food was spectacular. Fresh caught lobster and mussels served simply (steamed with butter) stand out on their own without any assistance.
The owner is friendly and helpful, and the ambiance (picnic tables in a yard), make for an enjoyable experience. Definitely stop by if you have the chance.
If you’re looking for fresh high quality food this is it! Culinary highlight of our time in Maine, Josh was awesome and super chill. Corn was fresh from a farm stand and my dinner was swimming not even 20 minutes before I cracked that bad boy open
The cutest family run lobster shack! It is a husband and wife small business where the husband is a lobster fisherman so you can bet that the lobster is fresh.
We got a Lobster Meal for 2 where you get 2 lobsters, mussels (can upgrade to clams), and 2 ears of corn. They are also known for their blueberry pie - which you honestly cannot miss either. Everything was made fresh immediately for you and served piping hot! The lobster was super fresh and everything was just so nice. Their service was also of 5 star quality. It was such a welcoming experience just dining there.
I cannot recommend this enough - a do not miss spot if you ever visit Bar Harbor/Acadia!
Oh my goodness was this the freshest and best tasting lobster ever. No need for butter as it’s so sweet. It’s a road side lobster shack 5 miles outside of town but it is worth the drive. The lobster is brought in fresh daily but the owners husband along with mussels and clams. The staff is as nice as can be. Don’t forget to get a slice of fresh blueberry pie or a lemon/blueberry whoopie pie to eat there or take home. You will definitely want to eat at this family owned lobster shack while in bar harbor. THEY DO ONE THING AND THEY DO IT RIGHT !!!!!!
Best lobster I ever ate. Mom takes the orders and weighs out the lobsters then hands the measured seafood through a window to her daughter who is manning the cooking pots. Our lobsters came off of Dad's boat the morning of the day we stopped by. It was great food at a great price for Bar Harbor and I couldn't recommend them any more highly.
Can't beat the price and freshness of the live lobsters anywhere. You get everything and more at this place!!!!

If you're in the area, it's definitely worth driving a little bit further along to check out the establishment. I know online it says that they open it three, however, when I called I was told that they open at 1:00 p.m. so I would just call ahead to make sure they're open just to be sure. For now, I don't think they're open on Sundays.
If I could give 6 stars I would. Amazing fresh food, caught by the owner and head chef. Muscles, lobster, and corn all amazing. Best I’ve had. Owner is a great, down to earth guy. He’s so kind and I would love for other folks to support his business.
You CAN'T leave Maine if you don't stop at Rose Eden Lobster, after visiting Acadia National Park my husband and I stopped at this restaurant, is owned by locals, prices are GREAT, food is UNIQUE. When we asked what was the secret of these lobsters??? The very nice woman who attended our table is one of the owner and she said "my husband spoiled us every day", he just bring to the restaurant what he would like to eat. He is a Lobsterman and goes everyday to pick the best for the restaurant clients and their hotel guests. We were eating lobster all week and this is the ONLY place where you actually will have the best fresh lobster, clams, mussels and more right in the outside but no far from bar harbor.
Enjoyed true fresh Maine Lobsters at Rose Eden Lobster on 8/24/2021. It truly is a Family Affair as Dad brings in the Lobsters everyday and the rest of the Family works very hard to share it with the Customers. Somehow Dad always finds the soft-shell Lobsters! Located just outside Bar Harbor and all the congestion is this long-time secret. Prices are outstanding, you don’t have to pay for parking and tax is included in the pricing.
Nothing fancy. No speciality alcoholic drinks. No live bands or t-shirts. Just cold pop and beer available.
Oh, and crazy good Lobster, Clams and Mussels. Plus Blueberry Pie of course.

Amazing experience! We got twin lobsters, clams and corn. Everything tasted amazing. This road side eatery had multiple picnic tables outside to sit. Over all amazing experience with perfectly cooked lobsters!
This was our favorite meal of our trip! Fresh WHOLE lobsters! We got it to-go, but wished we had planned to eat on site. The lobster, corn, and mussels were outstanding. We had so much fun eating and a true memory was made! The staff was super helpful over the phone as we placed our order too. Don’t miss this place on the way to the area.
Absolutely best meal I have had in a while. Lobster and mussels were amazing and even the corn was better than any boiled corn I’ve ever had. If you’re in Maine, you better make the trip here!
Excellent roadside eatery. Big Lobster that is seasoned well. Fun for a southern ole boy to figure out how to attack and find some great tasting meat. Mussels and clams were great, too.
Fantastic deal on Maine lobster. Nothing fancy -- picnic table dining. Fast, friendly service and good eats.
They pick your lobster and weight it in front of you, cook while you wait. Timer is set for the cooking time so they dont overcook it. Cannot get your lobster more fresh than this. So fresh, great taste. The price is very fair. Will be back again before we leave. Bring your own beverage.
This is an awesome find. They only serve fresh catch. If there are no catches they are not open and if you call the number they explain the reason. They have few outdoor sitting where you can enjoy your meal. I recommend to come early for fresh lobster 🦞 dinner since they get sold out quickly. We came for my birthday dinner at 4 pm since we are visiting from out of state.They have takeout service as well
Excellent lobster. Very informal, like someone is cooking in their backyard for you. Lobster clams and corn cooked in seawater, no frills. Not kitschy or cute just good food.
Stopped in to Rose Eden Lobster because of their great reviews, and they did not disappoint! The dinner was excellent and the lobster claws we got were the largest I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend Rose Eden and I would definitely eat there again.
Simply good. Good service, good lobster and clams. Josh was very accommodating with the schedule of our day and we were able to make a reservation on our preferred lobster selection. Thanks a lot!
