Food is excellent. I had the fried haddock sandwich and the smoked fish chowder. Chowder was very smoky tasting and decent thickness. The fried haddock sandwich was very tender and fresh fish, my only concern was I should have ordered it with double the meat (my fault I did not think it was going to be as good as it was). I thought the wait was a little long for the food, but in the end it was worth it since the food is great quality.

Delightful little locals spot with fresh fish. Service was a little curt, but get food makes up for it. Got the salmon reuben and was completely blown over by it. Spectacular. Even better was the crab bisque. Spicy and warm. I need it in my belly!! Best one I had in Bar Harbor. The haddock tacos my wife got were super meh. Skip unless you need flavorless tacos. But she loved the clam chowder. Daughter liked her blackened salmon sandwich. Gluten free options everywhere including a great GF chocolate ginger cookie.

We were lobster’d out so we got a crab roll here instead. Crab roll was great, they do not cheap out on the amount of crab meat. This was the only place I found that had steamed cherry stones and they’re my favorite. My only ding is I wished they would do a larger portion of the steam clams. One order was about 3 clams and left me wanting more. Lobster bisque was very different than the one you’re probably used to. In my opinion, I quite enjoyed it but my husband wasn’t a fan. The bisque wasn’t too heavily cream based and had a kick of cumin and spice to it. Definitely a different taste but very enjoyable!

The food here is very fresh and unique. The salmon Cajun sandwich is the best thing here !!! The halibut sandwich is bland and so was the swordfish tacos, but all fresh. The salads were also good. Nacho also highly recommend ! We sat outside and it was nice casual outdoor seating with light delicious food

Incredible cuisine coupled with a nice laid-back atmosphere inside and outside. The service was great. They also have a small fish counter and prepared foods, limited canned foods and drinks.

Nice location but away from the water and center of downtown. We didn't have to wait to be seated for lunch. I ordered the bluefish sandwich which was the special for the day. Flavor was mild and sweet chili sauce complimented it very well. Slaw was unique, with a hint of horseradish. I would definitely return.

The high reviews bought us here. It was very good, and I understand the reviews! I ordered a lobster roll and it was very delicious. My husband ordered clam chowder and LOVED it. The only thing was, I didn’t get a lot of lobster with my roll, and it felt like something was missing off the roll. Also, the coleslaw that came with it was good, but it wasn’t great as far as taste goes. The pecan pie slice we ordered was sitting on top of the refrigerator with the fish in it. We took it home to eat it, opened it, and it tasted exactly like the fish it sat on top of 😬. Not good at all. The smells went through the seran wrap that it was in. I think the desserts should be moved from that location. Other than those things, the food was good! I’d still go back to try more!

If you are visiting Bar Harbor and looking for a great lobster roll, this is the place to visit and get some. The rolls were amazing and very meaty. Makes my mouth water thinking about it again. The soups were tasty as well. They also serve oysters too! Be aware not a lot of seats inside but they do have a decent amount of outdoor area. Kid friendly restaurant and pet friendly for outdoor space. You can also grab fresh fish to go if you want and some grocery items that go with the first. A must check out restaurant if you want to have lobster rolls.

Excellent fresh seafood offerings! We enjoyed the crab cake sandwich (normally a double patty, but they only had only crab cake left for day, so I settled) and a warm lobster roll. The wait staff was a little awkward/didn’t seem the most excited to serve party of 6, but the food came out decently quick for being short staffed.
