Sublime oysters on a half shelf! One of the best oysters we’ve ever had in the US and we’ve eaten in Seattle and TX. They were so fresh with the briny taste but not too salty. Wish we ordered more. We tried their lobster bisque and crab staffed mushrooms too. Both very flavorful and would order them again. Lastly, we tried their warm lobster roll with butter. Probably the least favorite part of the meal but still okay. The lobster didn’t have much flavor and didn’t get any large pieces. We would pass on getting this again. The highlight of the dish was the coleslaw! Loved the German type, not the mayo version. And it came with potato chips. Kinda disappointed with that instead of some nice, hot fries. Overall, the experience and food quality were amazing. We will definitely be back when we’re in Bar Harbor.

We eloped in Bar Harbor and chose this as our wedding dinner spot. I contacted Galyn’s a couple weeks prior to make a reservation and they accommodated us so well!! The food was amazing and our server, Dusan, didn’t miss a beat. He treated us so well and made sure everything was perfect. It was a wonderful evening and we look forward to returning for future anniversary celebrations!!

Delicious! The food was superb. Perfect for a cold November day in beautiful Maine. Our waiter, Andrew, was the best. Galyn’s is a must stop for anyone seeking authentic fresh seafood dishes and an inviting, cozy atmosphere! Thank y’all! Especially Andrew!

Had dinner here on a rainy day. There was an hour wait time, but the balcony table is ready, which we took, since. we don't mind getting a little wet. We were given blankets to help keep us dry and warm. Pik was our server, and she was great and very helpful. She explained the menu and took good care of us during our dinner. We were surprised they do not serve complimentary bread, but they have one in the menu for $3, so its not bad. Of course, I had to get their whole lobster since we are in Maine. The wife had the lobster fettuccine, and the others had the pork chop and the fish of the day, which was grilled salmon. My lobster was cooked perfectly but had faint hints of flavor on it, which is great if you want to eat fresh lobster. I should've gotten their lazy lobster, and maybe I would've gotten more flavors. The fettuccine had a generous amount of lobster in it, if not a whole lobster itself. My wife said she even saw the lobster claw meat in there. The pork chops and the fish were cooked perfect with the right amount of crispiness to them. Both tasted great with the sauce adding the full flavor for the entrée.

Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed our meals at Galyn’s. Our waiter. Andrew had a great personality, recommended certain dishes for us, and was very knowledgeable about the wine list. One of the best places in Bar Harbor for A wonderful dinner.

Amazing as always! We had lunch here a few weeks back, and the food, atmosphere and service were fantastic. Every trip to Bar Harbor should include dining at this restaurant. We eat here every time we are in Bar Harbor.

This is the second meal we have enjoyed here. We visited Bar Harbor in 2018 and discovered this restaurant. It was so memorable, that when we returned to Bar Harbor recently, we had to dine there again. I highly suggest the upstairs window tables. I enjoyed scallops and oysters on the half shell. Everything was outstanding. The wine list is pretty decent. Our server, Jennifer, was attentive and friendly. I just can’t say enough about how wonderful this restaurant is and I highly recommend it for visitors and for locals.

This is our favorite lunch spot in bar harbor, for years. We like to sit on the balcony and their seafood soups are the best. They also have several wonderful sandwiches (lobster roll and fish sandwich!) and appetizer plates (squash cakes and crab cakes). We will typically eat here 2-3 times during a one week visit.

Came here for a quiet birthday dinner with my husband and it’s exactly what we got. Our server was very kind and paid attention to everything we needed. My husband snuck away to have them do a birthday thing on my dessert which is worth the picture itself! That cute Lobstah in blueberry sauce! We had the lazy lobster dinner and the fish special which was haddock with lemon capers aioli. I cleaned my plates and my husband’s! Our server recommended the cheesecake for dessert. It was delicious! Not too sweet, super fluffy and “light” for a cheesecake. 10/10

Food was amazing. Lobster roll with butter is a yes. Best oysters I’ve had in town. Service was spot on and the drink recommendations were spot on.
