Great food. It was our first time there,an the everything from the service to the food was great. will definitely be back there again soon
Good Japanese Food. I like Ichiban because I love Japanese food, but live in PA. The food is a little more expensive but has more items on the menu at the Bartonsville place than at the East Stroudsburg store. I personally like the ES store because I always get a bento box and I get my soup and salad with my meal. At the B store they also like to rush you out, even when the place is empty. The ES store is becoming a little tacky with the fish tanks and techno lights but as long as they keep the food the same, its cool.
Oh, by the way you MUST try the GREEN TEA ICE CREAM, it is to die for.
Great food/great service!. The food was de-lish!! And the service was fantastic. The family was there for a birthday celebration and the chef preparing our hibachi was very friendly & engaging! Every has a great tiem and enjoyed their meals.
I am definitely going back to try the other Japanese menu items and the sushi!!

Best Hitachi in Town. I've been into this few times ever since my birthday last month. They were really busy on Saturday . but we only waited for less than 15mins to get seated :) Foods were delicious, Staffs were nice especially Hibachi chef they're funny and entertaining. Cocktail drinks were reasonable price.
Got it all wrong. Ichiban is excellent. The sashimi is fresh and awesome, the waitress was a little distracted but it was quite busy so it is understandable. The Hibachi chef was very entertaining and friendly. The shrimp appetizer was delicious. The soup was light and complimented the salad well, I wasn't the biggest fan of the dressing but everyone else seemed to enjoy it. The presentation of all the food was great and everything was so full of flavor. Then since it was one of our birthday's they sang and gave him a dessert. Of course there was some noise, Hibachi is ment to be as much entertainment as it is a meal. Our experience was awesome and I can't wait to go back!
We decided to come here over Desaki because the prices are far more reasonable and I'm so glad we did. Fantastic food and a really nice staff.
The outside of the building may make you think twice but inside is nice, clean and inviting.

1st time we had an awesome time. Everyone was so polite we all got along at the table. The food was really good. Chicken steak and shrimp, fried rice and Vegtables. I highly recommend.
I was hungry and stopped at this restaurant for a quick bite. When I arrived I parked in their lot. I walked in and was greeted and sat at a booth. Elizabeth and another young lady served me. I ordered the lemon drop martini for my drink, then wine. I wasn't too fond of the wine. For my meal, I got the hibachi red snapper, and it was tasty and filling. I liked the fried rice and shrimp it came with. The bill was super affordable. All in all I had a good experience.
The family and I were here for a birthday celebration and I must say that I was not disappointed. The food was very good and flavorful. It was a party of 15 and I did not hear a complaint from anyone so that should tell you. Overall experience, I’d rate them 9 out of 10.
Got take out, but will dine in next time. Food was delicious!!! Good portions and really well packed. Had the hibachi scallops and hibachi chicken, both with rice. Delicious. Also got a pile of appetizers, alllll delicious. Honestly ate the appetizers for dinner and saved the hibachi for lunch the next day. Was still delicious. Super friendly staff taking the order and at pick up.

We are from new york. Just moved into town recently and it was my birthday weekend so me and my honey decided that we wanted to go out to eat and I wanted Hibachi so bad. I looked up and found great reviews about this place and my coworkers also had rave reviews about it. So we went without a reservation as it was only two of us. The young lady at the front was very kind and she told us that it would be about a 20 minute wait. Of course we expected some sort of wait as there we're at many people there yet. Most of the people that came in were already in a party of at least six to eight. So we waited about 25 minutes and then we were sad a few minutes later another party of about 7 came in and they were seated at our table. The chef was wonderful and even our table mates were great they sang me Happy Birthday and had ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle for free. I had the emperor's dish and my honey had chicken and scallops. Everything was delicious the service was wonderful and I can't wait to go again. My favorite thing about this restaurant specifically is the fact that you can have more than just eight people in your party the way that the restaurant is set up is that you can have up to about 16 to 20 people because the tables do connect on one side this makes for a beautiful time if you have a larger party or when family comes in town. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience we will see you soon with the whole family!
One of the best sushi places in the Poconos! Excellent yellowtail jalapeño, and an amazing yellowtail soy paper roll.
The "normal" food is nice but the hibachi is awesome, the cook is very professional and is also entertaining, he made us all laugh.
(Also has a nice aquarium)

Hibachi table was cleaned well, a big pet peeve of mine.

Wait time was 12 minutes to seat 7.
Decent Japanese food for the Poconos. The hibachi chefs are entertaining and the food are of fair quality. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and personable. The wait can be awhile if they are busy and you don’t have reservations since they only have two hibachi chefs.
From the outside it doesn't look like much, but it comes together on the inside. The food is perfectly cooked and so good, the service from the waitresses was lacking, not very warm and friendly but attentive you'll get your stuff don't expect a smile or any extra hospitality. The hibachi chef was good, not great with the showmanship but like I said the food was cooked perfectly.
Great fun watching the Chef. Food was excellent. We had young kids with us, and they enjoyed the experience.
Went for wife's birthday! We had great service and food. Portions were larger than host hibachi restaurants we have too. Will go back!
We had tons of fun visiting Ichiban for dinner! There was a short 10-15 minute wait on a Saturday night to get a table at the hibachi grill.
My wife enjoyed the tenderloin steak and was cooked perfectly.
I had the shrimp a no loved it.
The wonderful roll was very delicious!
went here over dasaki due to the price and was not disappointed. I left full and everything was great. I got the ichiban special and the chicken and steak were cooked perfectly! loved the noodles and fried rice too! our server Rita was great and took great care of us. Ben, the cook was fun and did a great job preparing our food. will definitely be back when we are in the area again. highly recommend 😊

We ordered two Ichiban specials which came with steak, shrimp, and chicken. Everything was cooked to perfection. The fried rice was soo good! The mixed vegetables were fresh and cooked very well.
Ichiban is highly recommended and I will be returning.
