Mansurs is a bucket list item I never knew existed! If you get the opportunity, you must eat here! Don't forget to make a reservation and follow the dress code, which is not prohibitive. Please read below for more details... A friend staying with me at the Baton Rouge Marriott for Swingapalooza found Mansurs using Google, learning it was within walking distance. Upon our arrival, the hostesses were able to accommodate us without a reservation, once learning we did not know to make a reservation and were not local, and were borderline with regard to the dress code. We were not prepared, but were seated and were pleasantly surprised. The service was impeccable, the food sublime, and the atmosphere elegant and understated. Live piano music played quietly in the background. This was not just a great meal at a great restaurant, it was truly a full immersion experience in what dining can be. We shared both the stuffed mushroom and eggplant appetizers, and savored every morsel. I have never swooned over a bite of a dish, but all of us did with those, and couldn't wait to try the soups ordered. The gumbo and brie and crabmeat soup were great, but the brie soup won hands down having been perfected over 30 plus years. I had their grouper special that had wilted spinach, artichoke hearts, and duck prosciutto. My friends each had the lobster, the ultimate alfredo, and the crab cakes. We insisted on having each other taste what we had chosen. My companions and I have made Mansurs a tradition. We will dine there every year while we attend Swingapalooza.

Birthday celebration!!!! Phenomenal! We started with coffee and mimosas( best mimosas on the planet). Chose an entree to share as an appetizer, the Bananas Foster Pain Perdu. I'm NOT a French toast girl, but this is a beat your fist on the table while eating because it's so delicious kind of a dish! I ordered the cedar plank roasted mahimahi with cremini mushrooms and crabmeat . My bf ordered the eggplant topped with crabmeat . Delicious! Our waiter, Courtleigh brought out bread pudding with a butter rum sauce for my bf's birthday. I'm not a bread pudding fan, but this one is so good, I ate more of it than he did! Mansur's is more than top notch. I feel that each employee I've encountered always goes above and beyond their " job description" to make this a phenomenal experience for the customer. Thank you for being so good at what you do as a team. You made our day and celebration everything and more than what we had hoped for.

Wonderful evening. Made my birthday dinner very special. The lobster and filet steak were delicious and prepared to order. Was perfection at its finest. Meal ended with a complimentary dessert of choice of which I chose blueberry and raisin bread pudding with warm rum sauce. Highly recommend!
