La Madeleine's has always been one of my favorite restaurants. Service is usually great and the food has always been exceptional. Being from French heritage, I am picky about French cuisine. La Madeleine is the real deal. Now, they have a full menu that includes lunch and dinner. I am in love with the Cranberry pecan salad. It has the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. The potato soup is so tasty. You get a blast of potato in every bite. I look forward to trying everything on the menu (that doesn't contain pork).
Absolutely one of my favorite places to eat in town. Their salads are amazing. Spinach and bacon salad is to DIE FOR. I definitely recommend.
La Madeleine has been one of my favorite cafes since I was little! This one in Perkins Rowe is adorable and has a cute interior, as do they all. They have the best soups, the Caesar salad is perfection and every dessert I have ever had was amazing. It is a bit expensive but they have real food and you can get a lot for little if you're smart about it. If you have never been, go.
Solid if not spectacular place for a light meal and/or desserts galore and coffee if you choose.
Love the combos you can order too to get a taste of a few things together. Not for the faint of heart if you are on a diet is it is hard to see all the rich entrée type items and also be assaulted by the sweets out front. It's just not fair. ;0)
I had a two salad and cup of soup combo on our latest trip in and loved the salads but thought the French onion soup could have been better. Not visually appealing was one of the things I did not like so much.
Wife had mushroom soup and half sandwich which she deemed to be a tasty treat.
Escaping for under $22 and pleasingly full we did not partake of the sweets this time in.
Likely to return at some point for sure. To get to four star? Don't know but stay tuned.

Everything seems to be good here, especially the potatoe & the tomatoe basil soup!
la Madeleine has had a location in Baton Rouge for at least 15 years, and in all that time, I have never visited. I finally decided to go see what it is people love so much about it at the new Perkins Rowe location. Walking into la Madeleine, I was a litt
