Had our first SIX-its just dinner event here. The staff and management were helpful at putting me at ease for this new venture. They accommodated all 17 of us wonderfully. Did not hear any complaints about the food or service.
I ordered a grilled cheese and a broccoli and cheese sandwich and WAS TOTALLY NOT DISAPOINTED !!!!!
Food and service delightful. Would definitely visit again!! You'll want to visit the sister restaurant American Kitchen, too!
Haven't eaten here but the martinis are wonderful.
Good Food, slow service. I have been to this restaurant twice, once in late October 2010 and once in mid-December, 2010, on a Friday and Saturday night, respectively. I loved the food both times - we had lettuce wraps, and pheasant salad the first time and a pork chop the second time. I was very pleased with the food, but it took a while to get waited on, and it took a while for drinks to arrive. The wine was pretty good, and the mixed drink, a Brandy Old Fashioned, was just ok.
The servers were ok, just really slow.
The tomato bisque soup to start my meal was very good, one of the best versions of that soup I’ve ever had. My NY strip was also excellent, medium rare as I requested. I was also pleased with the vegetables – someone is paying more attention at OCH because the last couple times I have been there, the vegetables have been lacking – this time that was not the case.
I enjoy OCH. They have some of the best food in the Bay area. Their brisket quesadillas are top notch, their ribs are to die for and the cornbread they get delivered from Molasses; perfection! I will always come back; a gem within the city.
We really enjoyed our dinner here! We were greeted immediately, had an awesome waitress Angela, and the food was different and delicious.
When you’re looking for variety in your meal, this is a great choice vs. the same ole burgers, pizzas and pub food.
The decor is really nicely well, we look forward to getting out here again.

10/10. It all started when my brother met Dave 20+ years ago. Rose has become a part of our family, the food is ALWAYS on point, they deal with me and all of my diet restrictions, and they are just great people who care about making their business succeed for their employees and the community during this hard time. Keep it up!
The ambiance of the restaurant is great and unqiue at the Old City Hall. They had outdoor seating with heaters as well. The bipbimbop and the Thai crunch wraps were both delicous as well as the calamari. The wait staff were also very professional and made sure were comfortable and satisfied during our visit.

The outside dining is fabulous. The location is wonderful even when windy outside. They were putting up a top notch tent to prepare for the cooler temps so that those that choose to sit outside can & will be able to remain warm. We came inside as the tent was being installed & notice how inviting the Old City Hall restaurant is. It's a classy place with reasonable prices, great wine, pork belly that made our mouth water and a very nice server named Dani. She was AWESOME. We met Brandon & Kurt, I'm pretty sure they run the show & what a fine job they are doing especially during this Covid BS. It was a neat place to visit while in the Bay City area. I recommend Old City Restaurant100%
Our first time here and it was EXCELLENT! Great drinks, great food and great service! Highly recommend for one of your trips up or down I-75. 3 miles off the ramp... worth the detour! ❤️
This is one of the best dining experiences I have had. The food is wonderful, the staff is super-helpful and the atmosphere is very cool. My husband and I plan to stop here every time we head north. We are from Maumee, Ohio, but the drive to Bay City for Old City Hall is worth every minute of the journey.
