Views and good food. This place has a great location and it really nice to take visitors to. We enjoyed several fish dishes here and will definitely return.
Wonderful. Captain Bill's is a gorgeous restaurant with handsome decor and a wonderful view of the waterfront. Their seafood is excellent, their service friendly and professional. I have been coming here for many years and with each visit, it gets better and better.

The appetizers tasted great. The spinach dip almost had a buttery consistency which went well with the crostini.
Visited a Sunday afternoon and restaurant was not too busy. Restaurant is by the water and would be great to sit outside on a summer day however its cold now so had to sit inside. . All employees interacted with were nice. Food came out nice and hot. MY group loved the lobster bisque and the shrimp and crab wanton. For entree we had a fish that was on the special menu and the lobster and shrimp linguini. Both werw good. My daughter and niece enjoyed the bread and their meals of chicken tenders and burger. I will return whenever in the area again.
Captain Bills made our dream night come true. We had our wedding reception at the Bayview House on 8/18/2023. The venue is beautiful and is located in the perfect spot along the water.
The service from the staff was amazing and it made the night go smoothly. Our guests loved the food and drink selection. It was an amazing night.

Love crab cake here,big chunk of the crab meat, oyster rocketfeller, I think too much cheese thrn I didn't taste the oyster....

Overlooking the water, it is a beautiful restaurant and has many great seafood dishes. This is where we were supposed to have our wedding reception, but thanks a lot COVID-19... I love the everything bagel breadsticks they serve before dinner. To me they are better than the commercial seafood restaurants biscuits. Food is always excellent. Depending on when you go, you may be the only people in the restaurant or it may be packed. Make sure you call for reservations.
My wife and I had lunch at Captain Bill's- we used to visit here when we were dating, but hadn't been here in probably 30 years. We've been trying to get reservations for brunch, but apparently it's so good, it's really hard to snag! In any event, we had a great lunch here- terrific view, excellent food; I had the sauteed flounder and shrimp cocktail, my wife had the Oyster Rockefeller and Scallops for her entree. The service could have been a little faster, but I understand things get a little hectic during the holiday season. We won't wait another 30 years to dine here- as soon as we're lucky enough to land some brunch reservations, we'll be back!
Nice resturant, calamari was very good. The clam chowder also great. Nice views of the marina. Blacked grouper was great too. Didn't have anything bad here.

We got married at the Bayview House on 10/8/23, and it was an absolutely beautiful event! Annie, our Maitre'D, made sure that the entire evening ran smoothly. She was a pleasure to work with! ♥ I got up to get my own food at one point, and she was quick to sit me back down and bring my husband and I everything that we wanted from the buffet! The food at Captain Bill's is excellent, and they worked with us to ensure that we had both vegan & gluten-free options for our guests with dietary restrictions.
The Bayview House is so, so beautiful -- even more so in person! We did many of our own decorations, and genuinely had fun planning out decorations for the ballroom -- especially the fireplace!
While Long Island weddings are undeniably expensive, we were able to work with Captain Bill's to ensure that we stayed within our tight budget, while still hitting on all of the major things that we felt were essential to our wedding day.
I would highly recommend the Bayview House to anyone looking for a beautiful, reasonably priced wedding venue with fantastic food!

From the view, to the staff, to the delicious sea food dishes, to the drinks (that made me do a double take look into my glass from the taste and strength) this restaurant is top tier.
Great for a date night, birthday, or just a casual night out away from the crowd. I would recommend not once but twice over. I'll definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu. Good job Captain Bill.
A favorite dining experience for me! The food is AMAZING! Nice size portions. The special for Octoberfest was $37-$38 pp You received soup or salad, entree and desert. I opted for my usual swordfish and it never disappoints.I got a side of potato pancakes to die for. Leftovers were great the next day.
