Cozy Restaurant!. A different kind of restaurant, with couches and low tables as well as traditional seatings. like being in a comfortable living room. the soups are phenomenal, as is the grilled cheese and bacon. terrific salads, pleasant staff, and lots of baked goods.
Mmmm. Cute place, good food...
Great. Pricey but, great... downgraded the menu a bit since I was there last but overall a plus.
Good food, great atmosphere. While the food here is very good (though a little on the pricey side), the atmosphere is amazing. Where else can you sit on a couch, play some chess, and drink one of a selection of a couple dozen specialty teas or multitude of flavored coffees from a mug the size of a soup cauldron?
I love this place, but try to get a table on a Fri. or Sat. night. No reservations are taken and you can wait, sometimes out in the cold & rain for over an hour...

Milk and Sugar Café might sound like just a tea or coffee shop but don't let the name fool you like it fooled us. Initially we were just going to stop in for coffee after lunch until we saw photos of the food online, so we decided to make this our lunch spot for the day.
Me and my two friends went there for dessert. We were a little thrown off by couches and the lighting was unsettling, but I would definitely go back. I ordered a chocolate chip sundae and it was delicious! Don't think my friends were overly pleased by their dishes, but that's what they get for not sticking to their ways. Anyway, the service was great and not too long of a wait for our orders. It was very cozy yet proper, I can't wait to try the brownie sundae next visit!
I just hosted my daughter's baby shower this weekend at Milk & Sugar's "Victorian Room." It was an amazing day for all, especially my daughter. With the attentive, accommodating, courteous, & friendly staff, the service was impeccable. Many guests commented not only on the staff but on the room itself and its lovely (&different) decor. Comfortable, cozy, yet roomy. Not the usual restaurant or catering hall. The Food was just amazing from the appetizers, to the brunch, to the cake & desserts. Everyone commented. So many said, they couldn't stop eating. The choices, the home cooking, again, amazing! Just Delicious! And we had so much to bring home as well. Yay! Thanks to Lenny & his staff, my daughter's little boy's baby shower was even more special.
I love the burgers, buns and the cute little bottles of ketchup. I haven't dined in as yet. However, it would be very romantic and cozy to do so. I had the Frozen Hot Chocolate once and it was quite tasty sort of like a high quality frosty.
I can not say enough amazing things about the Victorian room. The service, the staff, the food the setting ... all beyond my expectations. My daughter's Bridal Shower was absolutely perfect. I highly, wholeheartedly recommend The Victorian Room and Milk and Sugar Cafe. Simply Perfection!!!
I had my daughters bridal shower in the Victorian room. The communication with the catering department wasn't up to par, but the service was top knotch! Thanks to the matrde and staff we all had an awesome time... I would highly recommend it.
Saturday Lunch. Patrons 98% female. Artichoke Dip watered down. Had Filet Mignon/Asparagus/Gorgonzola Mashed Potatoes. Filet was perfect. Asparagus good. Potatoes tasteless over-boiled or mixed with instant and lacking any hint of Gorgonzola cheese. Place was packed and noisy. Entire staff was very friendly. Warning: They serve humongous portions of everything so consider sharing. I plan to return soon. Good pickup place.
Cute tea-themed spot with homey chairs and furniture. Came for brunch and had a really nice belgian waffle as well as a huge delicious omelette. Would recommend if you wanted to grab a brunch bite on Fire Island.
Very nice Victorian furniture to sit on while you enjoy a sandwich, wrap, or burger. A little pricey, for example it's $5 for a cappuccino, but the food portions are large and the waiters are very nice.
Cozy and awesome place and the food and deserts are equally good.

Well worth the time spent - delicious food. Enjoy This spot as the top brunch on Long Island
Went there last night after a show and we all enjoyed the food and relaxing atmosphere. Will visit again when in the area.
