This is a very cozy and romantic restaurant. I've read that this place was Rudy Valentino's old home mansion. The inside was very impressive with its decor. I'm very impressed with the whole place. The service could use a lot of work. Our dinner order was never put in because our server thought I was waiting to finish my appetizer. Our cocktails were not done properly as we ordered "Dirty Martinis" and we just got plain ones. It was corrected when the floor manager noticed we were not drinking them. The food looked great and I will try this restaurant again to see if the service has improved

We had our September 2023 wedding reception at Vivo and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The food, staff and atmosphere is just excellent and we got so many compliments! Paul is a dream to work with, always professional and available. We had to move our outdoor ceremony & cocktail hour inside due to Hurricane Ophelia and Paul & his staff made the change seamlessly. Everything was beautiful! Thank you!

Great deal on Thanksgiving! Buffet style and food was very high quality . Could go back for more and turkey was great. My family was satisfied and made for a great Thanksgiving. Lot of options for sides and desserts. Staff was attentive and friendly. Would go back to Vivo for another special occasion.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vivo Bayside Restaurant and Catering, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, and the catering staff was excellent. The room had plenty of natural and artificial lighting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The spacious area and the brunch-type buffet food were a real treat. The restaurant has indoor dining areas on two floors, event spaces, and a gorgeous outdoor area with a gazebo perfect for wedding ceremonies and outdoor dining. There are also two big parking lots, so finding a parking spot was not an issue. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

this place is an excellent venue and perfect for small events. also great for hosting small dinner parties! i enjoyed the apps which were well thought out! especially the crab cake :) the drinks were also great with a selection of both cocktails and wine. however it is the excellent service which ties this place down! plus there’s a parking lot!!

I think you’re for Father’s Day brunch, and really liked the restaurant. They did course very nice, and it is a very large restaurant with nice seating and even an outdoor space. The brunch menu includes many typical dishes you would order for brunch like pancakes and eggs Benedict, but they also have a good selection of pasta‘s as well as appetizers and different meat and fish choices. We got the Barada, which was delicious, as well as the peach salad to start. For our main courses, we ordered the steak frites (meat was over cooked) as well as a pasta and Spanish tortilla, which was not as good as the others. The wait staff was very friendly and service was good!

Beautiful restaurant. I have been here many times already, and for multiple occasions ( wedding, birthdays, baptism, e.t.c) staff were accommodating & friendly , location is beautiful with great ambience both inside and out. Both inside and outside events are available with great views. Parking available on site which is a huge plus. There's valley and there's park yourself available. Definitely recommend to have an event here. The food is allright, it's simple & nothing exceptional. The salmon I got yesterday wasn't my favorite.

Came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and she loves the food. The ambiance was nice and the live band at around 7:30 was also very nice. Food was great. Everything was flavorful, service was great. We will definitely come back again.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving here with my family. From the moment we walked in the door we were given a warm welcome by the maitre d. This was my first time at Vivo and the interior is gorgeous, it was an old mansion owned by a 1940’s silent film star, later purchased by Fiorello LaGuardia and transformed through the years to this catering and event space. The food selection was great, they had Thanksgiving classics like Turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing with some Italian food as well. Everything was fresh, delicious and high quality. Price was unbeatable for Thanksgiving buffet in NYC. Not to mention the service was attentive and friendly. I hope to make it a tradition to come back with my family every Thanksgiving. Thanks to Vivo for a wonderful holiday experience.

The service was nice. We went for brunch and they were very accommodating with the kid's meal. The prices were a bit high for brunch, but we enjoyed our meal.

Just returned from a baby shower at Vivo and the restaurant was great. When I arrived, the parking lot was completely full so I ran inside to ask the staff where I should leave my car. They were incredibly kind and told me exactly how to get to their second lot on the other side of the restaurant. The room where the event took place was nicely set up, brightly lit with lots of sun coming from the windows and the seating arrangement was comfortable (it was easy to get up and walk around/in-between tables without bumping into people's chairs or anything like that. The bar was right outside of the dining area and easily accessible for mimosa and Bellini refills. The food was delicious and they served a buffet style brunch. The waffle table was my personal favorite which includes lots of toppings that you put on your waffle (blueberries, strawberries, bananas, M&M's, sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, etc) The wait staff didn't waste time clearing dirty the plates and glasses from our table when we finished eating and the overall vibe of the restaurant was perfect for the event. I highly recommend Vivo if you're looking for a nice place to throw a baby shower, baby sprinkle, bridal shower or any kind of event like that.

We had originally planned a communion party here back in May but due to the Virus things changed. Luckily we were able to enjoy a much smaller more intimate gathering outdoors at Vivo. The weather turned out great and the restaurant gave us a cordoned off area of their patio to dine. They even moved some lounge seating so we could enjoy some added comfort. The food was excellent and the staff was very attentive while still providing social distancing. Other diners seemed well spaced, sanitizer was available and we felt very comfortable dining there.

Went there for Mother's Day with my friend. Our moms are deceased, and we went out together. The buffet was very nice but it ended at 2:30 and we went there at 2 pm. Well, my friend Gerri told the manager that we were never told about the time. So, we have some food to go home with and usually brunches you do not take home but we did not a lot but enough. They charge the wrong amount, and they took off close to $91.00. I guess speaking up is the right thing to do.
