Service by our waiter was great, quick and attentive.
My ribeye Steak was decent but not seasoned evenly - some parts were overly salted and other parts no salt. The cook was fine and what I asked for.
The brussel sprouts were good.
The margarita was overly sweet.
The tropical sangria tasted like a pi a colada and was good.
Also had the rattlers as an appetizer which were the star of the entire meal.
Overall, a decent meal but other than the rattler appetizer, not impressed.
It’s Saltgrass. Usually consistent. Server quality can drastically differ from trip to trip. This locations bread is very light colored and different than other locations not sure how I feel about it. I come here just for the Brussels sprouts, they are phenomenal. The homemade ranch is delicious too, I always get a side of ranch with the bread and dip my bread in it. Weird, I know. Some of the lunch specials aren’t a bad deal cost wise but adding a salad was supposed to cost $2.99 per the menu and they charged me $3.99; it’s $1 but I don’t like when the menu and bill don’t match up. Pat’s ribeye lunch is usually my fav but I ventured out and tried the ground beef steak and it’s so good as well the side of sauce with it and tried the chicken fried chicken which is delicious also. I e gotten the steak kabob lunch a few times and the rice it comes with us so delicious but the steak bites are never cooked to the correct requested temperature so I’ve given up ordering that. My hubs like the ground beef steak with the cheese and tomatoes on top and he loves their sweet potato fries, he almost always gets them. I didn’t like the loaded mashed potatoes, they were dry and lacking flavor - I won’t get those again. The regular mashed are creamy and silky and delicious though. The homemade croutons are so amazing and I don’t like crotons usually.
We came in to try happy hour. So glad we did! We usually do Julia’s every Wednesday night but we were getting bored so looking for options. The happy hour specials are great and the half priced appetizers during happy hour is a great selection. We had the shrimp cocktail which had ginormous delicious shrimp with a homemade tasting cocktail sauce and some really fresh pico in the middle. So good! Dip your shrimp and put the pico on top and yummmm. We had the rattlers, I don’t like them, I don’t like the canned jalapeños- use fresh jalapeños and it would be phenomenal - I wouldn’t get those again. The steak bites were over cooked per our order - I would’ve get those again, they’re just ok and the onions they sit on were so oily. Y’all, the crab cakes though…..OH EM GEE, they are stellar! I will be back very shortly for more of those, the shrimp cocktail, and the crab stack! I got the Texas Tea $7 cocktail and it was very refreshing. Today the bread was the normal color and taste, it was great.
The food is GOOD, not very good and not excellent, because of the high prices. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich $14.29, you can have the same sandwich way better taste at Beaky’s hot chicken down on Garth road for $11. My wife had the mixed grill for $25.00, over priced for the quality and quantity.
If you plan to have a main courses with ice tea then expect to pay about $37.00 per person ( No dessert)!
Service was great.
I had a wonderful experience here! The food was delicious and Our server, Alexis brought us the best service. She was prompt at taking our orders, She made sure we never ran out of our drinks, and she kept our table tidy. I would definitely come to sit at her table again!
The chicken fried steak is excellent. The batter the steak ratio is on point. The asparagus is good, although I wish I would have got the fried asparagus the smoke macaroni and cheese is great and I had some of my wives salmon and that was tremendous. Overall great experience
Everything was outstanding! Ours was a small group, and we had the back room but excellent service never wavered! The food was excellent and flavorful and the experience was outstanding. Just another day of Saltgrass excellence!
Booked a Holiday party for our office months in advance... took 2 hours to get our food after ordering. The children should have had the orders taken first. They forgot the appetizers and dessert 🍨. Very hectic.
We were there for my nephews birthday, Sunday the 8th, and the table was too crowded for us all.
We talked to the assistant manager, who was so kind and accommodating!
She moved us to a place with plenty of room and we had a wonderful time!
The waitress was amazing as well!
Patient, kind, funny, and efficient!
Thank you both for making his party great and memorable!
Food was delicious but for the amount of folks there came out a little slow.. but was made PERFECTLY.. so didn't mind the wait.
A little mix up on the ticket because waiter didn't give us correct info.. had to get up and ask others to chase him down to get a box to go and get the ticket question answered.. hence the 4 instead of 5 and hence his 15 percent tip instead of 20 or 25.
Good Ole' Saltgrass! Can't go wrong with this place. Good salads, very delicious steaks, great burgers and tempting wine & drink menu. I've been here quite a few times and have yet to be disappointed. It can be on the higher end of eating out but it is definitely worth it and you know you'll be getting fresh quality food/meat. Staff is always friendly and attentive. It can get packed and there can be a wait, but hey there's not much to do about that.
Julianna was an awesome waitress. She came at perfect timing, not too much nor too little. She recommended items from the menu. We spoke to the manager letting her know what a good waitress she is and wanted to give some positive feedback because managers usually get all the negative feedback. Overall, it was a nice, relaxing meal.
We all got the Pat's ribeye. Was cooked perfectly. Only fault that we had was it was cold in the restaurant.
Delicious food but server Briana was so slow . Not very attentive. Not sure it was even the kitchen fault on the delay of receiving our entree.... Briana was so about getting everything. EVERYTHING!! One of my favorite places to dine; but Tonight was horrible service.
Phenomenal service, delicious food, great atmosphere!
The manager on duty was terrific and kind- help out with food not to our liking and was nothing but polite. Our waitress was amazing and quick with drinks, extras and so on!
Great food, classy interior for local Baytown, great flavors. We had loaded mash and smothered steak and a regular steak. Rattlesnake jalapeño shrimp something for appetizers and side salads. The service was good, but we couldn’t find our server at the end for drink refills… but a solid little steakhouse!
