City Kitchen is the perfect spot for a date night or special night out. They are tucked away in the Town Creek Marina offering beautiful views of the water for a romantic coastal atmosphere. The locally sourced food is prepared fresh and plated beautiful. The menu offers selections such as fresh seafood, steak, shrimp and grits, a gourmet burger, and duck bolognese. We were huge fans of the hamburger steak with its delicious bourbon brown sauce. The filet was cooked to perfection and did not disappoint. The daily fresh caught fish specials are always a fantastic option.

City Kitchen is a perfect vibe. From the elevated coastal ambience to the classy and informative service this environment is conducive to a great dining experience. The tenderloin special was delicious and cooked to order. Also, do NOT dine here and NOT try the sticky toffee pudding. It is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend visiting City Kitchen if you are in Beaufort, North Carolina!

This one goes on my list of amazing restaurants across the country. The cuisine though a little pricey is definitely worth it. All of our meals including the desserts left us completely satisfied. Our experience here became the topic for the remainder of the evening because we all thought our respective dinners and desserts were the best. Bottom line they were all amazing. First class all the way

Such a good place for dinner. The butcher selection of the day was a New York strip. It was absolutely incredible. My sister got the catch of the day which was flounder. She was very impressed as well. The dessert we had was the cheesecake and the brownie cheesecake. Both were so good.

I ordered the Hamburger Steak with mushrooms and onions and it was delicious. My daughter ordered the shrimp and grits and was disappointed with the grit cakes as they weren't grits as she was expecting but I thought the taste was wonderful and I ate the grit part of her dinner since it was very delicious to me. We had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert because we had heard so many people rave over it, but we were not impressed with it, maybe we had heard so much about it we had too big expectations as I am a toffee lover. There are a lot of steps to get up to the restaurant but if you don't want to take the steps, they have a number on the elevator that you can call, and they will bring it down so you don't have to take the steps. We had wonderful service and the views were nice from inside.

Tucked into an area with lots of boat docks and on the second floor, we weren't sure what to expect. What we experienced far exceeded those expectations! Service was excellent with a warm greeting from Dylan the host, and even friendlier service by our server Josie and several others who helped everyone with food orders and beverages. Speaking of bevs, Josie was very patient as we asked for more info on the wine menu, which she followed up with samples. The House Cava was not as dry as we liked, so we settled on some glasses of the excellent House Assyrtiko to start. The remainder of the Wine Menu was excellent, with many good to great wines in a range of prices. We ended up getting a bottle of the El Enemigo Chardonnay from Argentina, which went perfectly with our mains. Dylan is not only the host, but also the resident wine expert since he's working towards his Sommelier Certification! Not only was he helpful, but also very interesting and professional. We shared the Beet Salad because we really enjoy both red and golden beets, especially with the goat cheese, candied pecans, and maple-cider vinaigrette over arugula- very tasty! The "Bigs" menu was a mixture of southern specialties, local seafood, and other interesting creative dishes! I'm not a Shrimp and Grits fan normally because it is too creamy and rich for my stomach. However, the addition of andouille sausage and mushrooms with a sauce or broth that seemed more like a roux, and the expertly grilled six shrimp placed over 2 very tasty grit cakes was too good sounding to pass up. I loved it! If I had anything to critique, it might be less salt in the cakes, because the andouille added plenty to each bite! My wife was feeling less adventurous, so decided to try the Roasted Airline Chicken. Some people believe this dish is very simple, but we think that it separates the good from the skilled Chefs. And the Chef prepared this dish with great skill and creativity! He added a mushroom curry and fig chutney to the plantains and jasmine rice, which complemented the chicken very well. We ended the night with a beautiful sunset that was enjoyed by many of the patrons as evidenced by their pictures! Because it was my wife's birthday, Josie recommended we try their specialty, the Sticky Toffee Pudding, which was excellent, and not heavy or filling. They didn't charge us for that, another classy decision. Overall, this has been one of our best meals on the Crystal Coast. And we will certainly be back to enjoy another great experience!

Great food and service, get a table outside if you can to enjoy the beautiful sunset 😍. Airline chicken, mahi mahi, and sticky toffee pudding were great. The southern sampler was good as well. Would definitely come back again!!

Delicious dinner, tonight's special was flounder freshly caught lightly panko crusted served on jasmine rice with a very light curry sauce and crunchy Asian slaw on top. Also highly recommend the virgin painkiller drink! Went very well with it. Excellent views of the sunset. We sat inside as it was a little chilly outdoors. Our waitress Christy was outstanding. What a phenomenal memory of all of the specials and every detail perfect. We really enjoy the evening.

City Kitchen saved our anniversary! We had eagerly anticipated reservations at a different Beaufort restaurant to celebrate our anniversary but they were canceled by the restaurant hours before we were to arrive. We called City Kitchen and they squeezed us in and treated us like royalty… although it seemed they treated all their customers like royalty. We each had one of the daily specials and they were fantastic. It was tough to choose among the desserts but we eventually chose the sticky toffee pudding and brownie with cheesecake swirl and were very very happy. Our server Kristy was a joy and went out of her way to help us to celebrate our day. We will happily return to City Kitchen and encourage others to enjoy this special spot.

Upscale, local cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere? Yes, please. Day boat fish specials are the way to go, but save room for the amazing desserts.

Called at 2pm on the day we wanted to go even though on website they advise to call weeks in advance. They were wonderful and got us a reservation, it was just two of us. The hostess was so nice and pleasant and got us a table next over from a window and we had great views. Our waiter was very attentive and made great recommendations on food. The food was absolutely amazing! Every dish we had was flawless. Cooked perfectly. We will be going back for sure! Perfect atmosphere also. Relaxing and great water views.

Food is fresh, creative, and delicious! The staff are friendly and the views from the porch were so beautiful--great atmosphere. Had the burrata with heirloom tomatoes, pan seared flounder with mango salad in a red curry sauce. Since I'm gluten free I had the cheesecake brownie which was so delicious. Wish I could've had their signature sticky toffee pudding which my husband loved. Items on menu aren't marked gf but the chef is able to modify to meet your needs. Dana our server was very knowledgeable about gluten and the menu options.

Grouper special is the most delicious meal I have ever had, anywhere, anytime. Pure perfection in a dish. Great service with great views.

The only thing better than the ambiance was the food and service. My wife ordered vegetarian bowl and I ordered market fish which was flounder encrusted in scallions with a pepper glaze and we also split the truffle chips and beat salad. Everything tasted spectacular and portions were not skimpy like other fancy restaurants. Our waitress Josie was incredibly kind and attentive with our order. And to top it all off we orders the toffee pudding which was amazing and it will go on my bucket list of desserts. You must get this if you go.

This place is so good. We tried three mains and they all were amazing; fish cakes, grouper and the scallop special. Unique combos and amazing flavor. The sticky toffee pudding was unlike anything we have ever eaten! We will be back

Nice restaurant. I suggest reservations as the place was crowded. Not an extensive menu but enough options to make one happy.
